    The ironic thing about the Scottish teams that defend in depth against us, is that some of them might cause our defence a few problems if they just went for it.

    Much better second half. Tom Rogic played his part and………..so did that promising youngster Janes Forest.

    Three points and improved our GD advantage so a good night.

     

     

    Performance wise, we look out of ideas for large parts of the game. The first goal changes the game and with CalMac pushed up, we make it comfortable.

     

     

    We still have problems, Jota’s form chief amongst them. Mazda’s work rate is great when your 1 up but his lack of cutting edge is a concern when we’re chasing a goal.

     

     

    Bitton must start on Sunday with CalMac pushed up. Hatate to drop out.

     

     

    Dare I suggest a 3-5-2 if Gio is fit ? We won’t need four defenders against Livi.

    Good! Would’ve taken 1-0 before the game and certainly after the first half. CCV the standout – and Rogic after he came on. Starfelt and JJ excellent and Forest good when he came on. Two Japanese not great and neither were the two wingers.

     

     

    3 points and St Mirren lucky to get nil.

    Better second half good three points,even when they were a goal down i can’t believe how slow the keeper was no urencie what so ever, at least he was consistent.

    Yes,Scum scored in 3 mins,no more.3 points and a goal.That will do.

     

    Ange has to see,the difference when the subs came on.Biton should play,let Calmac move up,with another.Jamesy looking sharper.

     

    I know it’s not easy beating total defence,but,Dear God,it’s hard watching.

     

    Another game gone.Livi won again tonight.Bassas coming into good form.Sunday will be very difficult,you would think.Gio back.

    Got the result but a very poor performance.

     

    Strange times — JF comes on and changes things for the better.

     

    Squad very unsettled — not playing for each other.

     

    Plus we have the Ministry of Funny Walks trying to pass the ball.

     

    Currently we make all the simple stuff look very hard.

     

     

    Huge amount of talent but the system is killing us.

    Good result maybe not the performance – nice to see James Forest get by a player for once and to see Dembele back.

    The subs made a huge difference

     

     

    Biton very calming, Rogic looked great, did we see the start of a return to form for Jamesie?

    3 points and another goal to the good in the GD column.

     

     

    Thought the substitutions tonight were excellent. James F showing more in 20 minutes than he has all season. Maybe he’s a good bet for coming on in these situations and going up against tired full backs. Same with Tom Rogic. Showed his class in terms of controlling the ball and keeping possession.

     

     

    Frustrating first 55 minutes. Goal from a corner, kind of. Nice wee composed finish from Captain Cal. Clean sheet. Hart not troubled. Centre backs won every high ball. It wasn’t all negative. As a support perhaps we could acknowledge that the relatively inexperienced and young Jota, Abada and o’riley, the newly arrived from a totally different footballing culture maeda and abada are maybe due a bit of slack. They’ve all delivered points for us at crucial times.

     

     

    I wonder if in the J League Maeda and Hatate ever came up against the anti football bus parkers they have faced here? Is it a thing there?

     

     

    The laws of football dictate that we are bound to win at Livingston at some point. This Sunday seems like the best time for that. An early goal, lucky break of the ball, OG, whatever. Nothing else matters now but the next game.

    Turkeybhoy – Carl was the better player tonight. Part of his image problem is his total lack of any graceful movement when kicking the ball. He looks awkward even though he never misplaced a pass or missed a header tonight. To my eye he carried the ball forward more too. I really like the big Swede.

     

     

    All that said Cameron had a very good game.

    In alot of ways I was more worried about tonight than the spaghettihad. Serioys banana skin potential. Complacency on our part. St mirren already shut us out this season. New manager bounce in effect. Pressure game for us.

     

     

    Bring on Sunday. Can’t wait.

    Pattern of 5-5 or 5-4-1 dissolves but only till Sunday.

     

     

    Superb three points tonight and AP’s men pushed Celtic over the line and prevented St.Mirren having a meaningful shot on goal.

     

     

    One goal better off but we needed the calculated bench to clinch this game, where Tom Rogic took over in the passing art. CCV and Starfelt were immaculate in front of Hart.

     

     

    Dip in form ? Off the boil ? move over and let the right one in

    St Tams – it does. Better movement and less slackness in the passing for one thing. That changed to a degree in the second half even prior to the goal. Once we scored it was never in doubt. When the subs came on we upped the game again.

     

     

    The basis is there. We need to start with the basics and the difference early goals would make might also help bit that requires the basics to improve first.

    Good result against a well organised side. And not so nervy at 1-0 as in previous games.

     

     

    I thought Rogic raised the level of play when he came on.

    3 points 1 more goal added , and we weren’t troubled by one of Scotland’s form teams .

     

    We controlled the game ,but lacked any cutting edge , and still scored 2
