Yes pity about gran canaria queen but the others did well

Long house hall won at 6 / 1, hors de combat 2nd at 7s and master speaker 2nd at 12s.

Hopefully Pyla doesn’t turn out to be a pile a s**t

Is gowf the only game in the world that if your leading your “oot last ” the next day.

  3. Kill Ultra

There is no way that the guys could have known at the beginning just how complex that the undertaking would be.

I don’t think Celtic had any idea either.

I do have a little inside knowledge of the work that was put in by each one of them and believe me it was massive. Indeed had they known this at the beginning it would never have proceeded.

There is a much bigger prize than you rather passively in comparison seek. By getting a foot in the door at Hampden and in Nyon there is a chance to expose the entire corrupt sham surrounding the dead club and its successor.

I always told the guys that my motivation was different from theirs. I had my sights on the same club lie, the 5 Way Agreement – so corrupt it is a massive secret and the ludicrous LMS decision.

Much has been achieved against the odds. Strategically for a Celtic man, you are wrong insisting on post mortems on every stage along the road.

The guys aren’t perfect – they frustrated me many times along the way and I drove them daft by insisting on speed and wanting to attack. We got there by mixing their caution and wisdom with our get at ’em approach!

Who cares? These guys are flawed like you and certainly me but they are Celtic heroes.

They may just save the game by getting to the truth.

    Bury your hatchet, please.

  4. This might have been covered before, but has the pitch been made smaller in length?

Any info on our favourite Dane???

I thought big O’Connell was doing fine until the unfortunate deflected OG, seemed to shake him for a few minutes, but to my mind he finished the first half in good form, I would have no hesitation playing him this mid-week, especially in front of “one f ” .

But then again my names not Brendan.

  6. On the bigger picture stuff of the Resolution………..

Good post WC, staggering to see some of the attitudes some of our posters to the work being done..

    WC.

    Well typed lol

I see a few folk are concerned about the adverts and the content of said adverts.

Fair enough if you ask me.

However I am more concerned about the attitude of some posters on here towards fellow Celtic fans, the name calling was nothing short of ridiculous and unbecoming of CQN. Perhaps a wee reminder to some individuals would remind them about the ethos of our club.

  9. 50 Shades of Green

The agency which supplies the ads has been told in no uncertain terms to meet their contractual agreement with CQN to have family settings for all ads.

This seems to have been neglected recently for some posters who have Adblock on. No idea why this has happened but it is unacceptable and will not be allowed to continue.

  10. Enjoyed game today.Standing section looked good and am sure will help atmosphere.Great to see all stands open.Ryan and Calum both took goals well.Thought Stuart Armstrong had excellent half. Really think it would be better if Efe,wee Jamesie, and some others moved on asap. The crowd(me included)are understandably negative about them and may do well at another club.Looking forward to Wednesday.Things will start to take shape.

  11. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    WINNING CAPTAINS

    Well said. Total embarrassment.

Since accepted wisdom is that the ads are based on browsing history, there must be a few blameless CQNers spluttering-“But I didnae!”

Hope you get it sorted, bud. But to be honest, the blog has bigger problems than that.

  12. With Ajer being a versatile midfielder and a standby CH, I take it there will be no one from CP running round to Charlie’s house in panic with a new contract?

  13. Kill Ultra

I don’t know how you have arrived at your conclusion but it is one I don’t recognise.

You forget that there were 4 folk involved at the time the fate of Res12 was under discussion and two were not in the room but relied on report back from those that were.

It is not surprising therefore that there are differences in understanding of what took place but to present that as lies is frankly an insult.

Briefly Celtic’s official stance was that Res12 was not necessary. This as it later transpired was based on enquiries they had made of SFA in Dec 2011.

Before the AGM Morrisey and BRTH met PL and the Comp Sec and the day afterwards the outcome of that meeting was reported back to me in a Skype conversation (I was in Spain) to which there is a very credible witness. Morrisey told us that Celtic had asked him and BRTH to withdraw Res12.

They guys could not because they had a Timeline based on material Charlotte Fakeovers had leaked which strongly but not totally suggested Res12 was necessary, particularly SFA e mails who are the ultimate target of Res12.

That meeting with PL and Comp Sec was inconclusive and finished with an impass.

The following day in the course that report back on Skype involving myself Morrisey and Phil Mac G, who had reported on events in 2011, we learned from BRTH who joined us after M had reported that whilst at CP that day on other business, he had met the Comp Sec who suggested to BRTH that a way forward was to adjourn the Res. This kept it open (which gave it some authority to pursue) and offered the opportunity to strengthen the case.

It was therefore seen as a way forward and agreed.

To me it seemed Celtic recognised in the Timeline that there might be cause to investigate and were wary of voting Res12 down in case the narrative the Timeline suggested was true and it later became public they had voted Res12 down whilst being aware of the narrative the material supported.

That is my recollection of events over the days just before the AGM and is a million miles from the one you have set out and my actual involvent makes it a lot credible.

  14. Hail Hail CQNers

    Winning Captains

I don’t believe I have previously commented on Res 12 but I am humbled by the work you guys have done already and hopefully continue to do.

It is so frustrating to bide one’s time and wait for news, but like many others on this site, I have the utmost faith that the efforts of all of you will bear fruit and true Celtic supporters can thank you guys who have worked tirelessly on our behalf.

    Thank you

  15. CANAMALAR IT LOOKS LIKE OCD OBSESSION on 15TH JULY 2016 6:12 PM

    Tony..,

The Plc ask us to ask the SFA I’m beginning to think it’s a learning or mental health problem you have, maybe I being cruel just thinking it’s stupidity, there could be some retardation in there. I think I’d better rethink how I respond to you as it doesn’t do to be taking advantage of people who have mental problems.

    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

To say I am disappointed with the lack of reaction to this post on here is a huge understatement.

The mentally handicapped or those who are indeed retarded or in someones opinion just plain stupid, deserve and need our protection.

My family have lived and coped with a member of our family who was mentally handicapped.

Not easy, sometimes hugely difficult, but more often rewarding and some of the funniest times of my life.

Our mentally handicapped relative is now dead, but instead of badmouthing him and treating him like a big stupid lump we loved him and treated him the same as the rest of us.

He was family, flesh and blood.

He never passed an “O” Level but sometimes he was the most sensible man in the world.

He is remembered lovingly by those he left behind and I’m sure he’s looking down on us now and probably having a good laugh too.

I have worked on a voluntary basis with mentally handicapped adults and also as an Adult Literacy Tutor.

The experience was heart warming and rewarding too in that it made me realise that we are all equal in God’s eyes and yes, we are all Jock Tamsons bairns.

But the lack of reaction to that post makes me think that, apart from one or two who acknowledged the post

you are all CANAMALAR in disguise.

A liar, a man who has no pity or understanding or cares a jot for those who need our help and protection.

And you all stand by him.

This is therefore not a public forum I want to be associated with.

Gos bless and help all those in need this night.

And missing from today’s 2 teams, Commons, Mulgrew, Johansen, GMS, Boyata, Simunovic, Bitton, Izzaguire,

  18. Auld heid,

After yesterday’s “debate” , I started to consider myself what would constitute a resolution 12 victory .

For me it would be uncovering the truth and putting that in the public domain .

Anything else would be a bonus .

    Keep at them .

PS I’m still hoping to buy you and the other three horsemen of the resolution a pint some day .

I think Mulgrew has gone, I will be happy for Brendan to work out his best team (hopefully the sooner the better) not making excuses for the players the other night but that pitch was shocking, and wearing some black kid on magic strip…..get the Hoops on

(So much for not making excuses :-)

  20. Winning Captains, very well said.

A little unity would do us all some good.

    So, are we there yet:-)

Seems like a good performance today, only seen the goals, and read comments on here, a nice wee boost before the most important game of the season.

They were in the process of taking them down, respectively around 15:45 after the Parade had been and gone.

    Keep the Faith!

    Hail Hail!

  23. Cowiebhoy

    They were not missed.

    Both teams performed well.

The team in first showed flair and pace.

In the second while a little less cohesive they showed character and some guys played very well.

    50 shades

Right about O’connell had a tough time after og but finished half well.

The goal was not his fault but once again we did not close down opponents quickly enough in dangerous last third area.

  24. Plenty of positives but one conundrum, there are about a dozen midfielders vying for 3 places and so far there is not that much to choose between any of them. They are all good on their day but no obvious stand out first choice players.

We need to get a settled first eleven & build confidence, maybe Brendan has some idea but I must confess I don’t. I think Brooney will be an automatic choice for the time being but for the rest you could put a dozen names in a hat and draw lots.

  25. Gerryfaethebrig

Yes the pitch was an original Astro turf pitch with the black rubber base, sure that paddybhoy1888 must have provided the used tyres to make it :-)

In saying this both teams, ours professionally prepared lost, played on the pitch – no excuses for the result

  27. Fred Colon.

I think that when the truth is able to come out (and only the court case involving CW is keeping the lid on for fear of prejudicing ) those pushing Res12 will be totally vindicated.

The list of those who won’t including the media will be extensive.

There already is a narrative, provided privately to those who asked, which will be updated as the story continues.

If the court case is over before the AGM it will be an interesting one.

There’s a good article in the irish post on the citizenship of irish people post brexit-all to do with The Ireland Act 1949.

Speaking of mental health -I’ve got fnd-functional neurological disorder ( I don’t know either! ). If anybody knows anyone who works in Glasgow hospital, can you thank them for me -their website is the only one in webland which explains it to me – it has really helped me.

I am sure 99% of the blog appreciate the effort of those concerned with Res12

(don’t say too much others might be reading)

  33. Some decent performances today but it doesn’t change what we need. A defensive mid, a centre half and a right back.

Out of the teams today, Armstrong, McGregor, Cifti, Henderson, Allan, Christie did themselves no harm. The rest of the Fringers we could easily do without.

They’res no future for Commons, Johanson, forest and Bitton. We have more than enough if we sign a defensive mid.

  34. Philbhoy, Many of us have had some experience in dealing with people who had special needs and yes they are wonderful people who can teach us a lot. Canamalar shouldn’t have used that analogy and neither should any of the rest of us. Unfortunately we all say things without thinking it through. Obviously as you were so close to your relative who has passed it has affected you a lot.

People generally are good & caring and most people on this site come into that category.

Perhaps take a few days out to get your head together but believe me this site is full of genuine caring people, you won’t get better anywhere else.

  35. One of my biggest complaints about Celtic team of last 2 years is that we were purely reactionary.

Today there was a lot more proactive movement especially in the first.

Young McGregor and Dembele made some very good runs in anticipation.

Once this becomes recognised we will be very dangerous.

Still to many balls passed to where player is halting momentum but definitely improving.

    Huddle

I think you are being a little early in your judgement of wether O’Connell will make it.

He lost his composure after the og and seemed to keep getting caught in 2 minds and giving away possession but recovered and made a few very good tackles as half closed out.

Would like to see us sign a real leader for this defensive area to guide our youngsters.
