    Cork celt

Just like to say thanks for your posts over the last couple of days. Good points well made.

  2. Corkcelt,

I like your city and been there a few times.

I remember carrying Irish Tricolours going to Celtic games when we were outnumbered 20 to 1 and grown men giving us grief.

That’s why when we make our way in life we cannot accept a snake like Lawwell playing with our club to his own benefit.

I have enough connections into Celtic Park and several people with insight share the same view as me. I call it as I see it —and I am rarely wrong. Sometimes the truth hurts. I am just shining a light on the dirty game Lawwell is playing.

  3. Saint Stivs says SACK THE BOARD on

I really enjoyed today. Kinda like the hoops v shamrocks games of the early 60s.

Ie. We get to see all the fit players. And we all have an opinion.

    Overall everyone played a part.

I told my nephew about Wolfsburg’s former manager. Wolfgang wolf.

    The bhoy is 7.

I said that’s like Celtic having a manager called

    Celtic Celtics son

He waited a moment and said

Is he better than Brendan Rodgers.

  4. SUNNYJIM on 16TH JULY 2016 10:02 PM

Fair summary of the players, but I don’t think james Forrest will get the chance to repay Brendan’s faith on Wednesday. I think it will be Patrick Roberts opportunity.

    p.s. it is Ryan Christie.

  5. Gerryfaethebrig on

Lucky Cody your quote “and I am rarely wrong”

you are on the wrong site, as far as I know we are all rarely right here

  6. The Glorious Balance Sheet,

As far as I can see Scepovic is/was represented by Mariano Aguilar. He seems to linked to Doyen Sports in some way. Doyen are involved in 3rd party ownership type vehicles for players.

Scepovic transfer history is interesting but I’d like to look further into it before making any comment.

He has played in Israel for example, there again so what?

    Needs a bit of work.

  7. Lucky Cody, I have no problem at all with you making your feelings known, it’s a blog and that is what a blog is for.

I tend to shy away when I see people shouting in their posts. It just seems like they are over dramatising and looking for notice.

If a point is sensible and well made it will be effective.

In my opinion shouting is a very Trollish trait but then again as the bold Brendan Behan said, “Every tinker has his own way of dancing”.

  8. GFTB,

You live a sheltered life —suggest you get out a bit more and think for yourself.

Don’t take everything with a Celtic content as gospel—–Even your close circle of friends and family will see that as a revelation.

Take it as free advice —but at least open your mind and think about it. Progress !

  9. Gerryfaethebrig on

    Lucky Cody

Any advice is welcome……bad or good

but you are correct (rarely wrong by all accounts) should get out more

Enjoy our 6@row quest but got a feeling Hearts might give us more of a worry than Aberdeen this season

  10. Corkcelt,

The capitals highlighted the main message. We all know Celtic have severely misfired over the last 4 years. I am given the root cause for that consistent failure. Why because I care big time. I have 3 ST s for CFC for myself and 2 sons. We go most weeks. My last away euro trip was Inter away where we stayed at the Hilton surrounded by Japanese models durning fashion week and dined in one of my favourite restaurants on Via Melchiorre run by an Inter fan.

I will be in Donegal on Friday and will go down to Malahide Marina for a few days — but Cork is for another trip. Unfortunately I will miss the Ulster Final tomorrow as I am off to Joburg altho I enjoyed Mayo Kildare this evening on SS5.

We were hoping Dermot would sack Lawwell—and this conversation is not over yet.

There a number of people like me who want Lawwell out because of the damage he has done—it is only a matter of time.

I rarely criticise the club or players —-only Lawwell. I see through this parasite.

  11. Drambowiecelt on

90 mill lost revenue??? break that down for us young man.

Bobbys curled up wans…..Settle an argument.. The guy in the you tube clip..

    He on Heartbeat????

    H.H.

  12. Why is it that people who use capitals are accused of `SHOUTING?` I mean, it`s not as if anyone is deafened by reading capitals, is it? in fact they may be easier to read for visually impaired folk. no? Etiquette joins politically correctableness and health and safety, they`ve all gone mad. (Am I allowed to say `mad`?)

  13. You seem to live the good life Mr. Cody guess that is where the Lucky part comes from. A couple of co-incidences in your travels vis a viz mine. Was in Donegal myself for a few days about a week ago and am off to Belfast in a couple of weeks staying at the Hilton there. Doubt I’ll be surrounded by Japanese models though.

Finally one of my best mates has an apartment overlooking Malahide Marina.

I can’t get a link to your South African trip, but with you heading off there tomorrow & getting back to make Donegal by Friday, you’ll be knackered by the time you get to Malahide.

Capitals wouldn’t help the visually impaired, you ideally want to increase the font size and make it bolder. Also using dark green or blue text would help.

Dudu Dahan brought in Ambrose, Bitton and Kayal as well as Rami Gershon. I think he had a hand in Wanyamas transfer as Dahan is heavily involved in Belgian football.

Dahan also seems to act as a sales agent for Celtic. See recent cases of Ambrose and Bitton. Not sure if he has a hand in the Rogic to Arsenal babble as well.

Dahan is an agent and will get the best he can for his player or club he works for. I am more worried about who brought in Pukki, Beorrigter, Balde, Boyata.

I notice our link with Man City has stopped. I take it Guardiolas arrival and change of back room staff has had an impact on our links there? Denayer was a massive hit but a short term one. Guidetti was unfit and overweight and needed games which we wouldn’t give him as we wanted to develop players that committed to stay.

I assume Blackett was a deadline day offer we took as we missed out on a proper target. I can see us going back to that pool again if we can’t keep any of Rodgers targets in the wage structure.

We have shed Scepovic, Kazim Rchards, Stokes, Blackett, Cole. I assume Ciftci is in the shop window so another striker is needed.

With the remainder of the squad likely to change by any number of midfielders going out and the lack of quality there we need a midfielder. I think we have seen enough of Biton and Brown to know that the partnership doesn’t work. Replace both in that position and play Brown up on the right where he can make his mistakes further away from our goal. At 31 though, I’m not sure Brown has the legs left.

We desperately need a centre half and less desperately a right back. A goalie would be a bonus.

Do I trust Lawwell et al to bring in the required blend of youth and experience across this positions? No.

The result will be 1 more signing in the region of 3 million with a couple more projects and a loan. It’s gamble time again.

  16. LUCKY CODY on 16TH JULY 2016 10:29 PM

With all due respect it never fails to amaze me why so many Celtic supporters ask the same question. I think you’re being rhetorical but I think many are genuinely bewildered as to why Peter Lawwell services as Chief Exec are retained year after year?

Few are moving in the same circles you are, myself included. What I mean by that is that I think you might be able to offer some insight and understand better.

I take it PL’s boss DD and the other minority shareholders think he’s doing a great job or at least a good enough job to keep his position?

If he’s as bad at his job as many say why is he still there? I’m not being rhetorical I’d like you or someone with insight to explain please.

  17. Drambowiecelt on

With respect I will ask again 90 mill loss……………source?

  18. Delighted to see McGregor get a start and a goal today. Fabulous footballer, he has a continental style about him. Have a feeling he would be appreciated more in another cultural environment.

  19. Gerryfaethebrig on

Fellow Celtic fans good night and God bless, need a good nights sleep as I am heading to chapel the morra next to the Time Capsule, then a day trip to Summerlee Heritage on Monday, my birthday treat is taking my daughter to a superheroes day before I need to go back to work on Tuesday all the way into Glasgow……

I love my sheltered life :-)

Roll on Wednesday…..get Stuart Armstrong & Scott Allan in the middle of the park

  20. I know it has been reported that Scepovic has gone to Getafe but Celtic have never officially announced it and his pic is still on official site listed as a first team squad member on loan.

They are pretty quick on amending the first team squad but Scepovic & Mulgrew are still listed there. I can understand the Mulgrew one as he has been offered a renewal and they are likely to leave his slot open until he finally decides what to do but am a bit bemused that Scepovic is still there.

Anyhow I’m done for the night, so Good Night & God Bless All.

  21. Been in gran canaria all week being spoils rotten.

Celtic are a busted flush. A joke club still pretending to be important.

Lawwell and DD have destroyed the essence of Celtic. They colluded with th corrupt SFA and the Hun. You and I were the bargaining tool.

And even after all is said and done. We are told we lost 10m when the Hun left. We remain in profit from transfers this window and yet poised to exit against th imps.

    Why?

Why does it need to be this way?

We are simply fools for accepting it. Fools who wallow in our victim hood.

  22. Dexter says HAVE WE ALL FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE LIVING WAGE AT CELTIC PARK??? on

Thought the first team looked good today. Armstrong was very impressive as was Tiernino.

Ajer could be Ronny’s greatest contribution to the club.

Ciftci shouldnt even be on the second team….

  23. Just watched that BBC documentary on Alex Higgins. A great but sad story. Now I heard some rumours about him when I was younger about Higgins being sectarian and hating Dennis Taylor because he was nationalist/republican but can anyone shed a light on whether Higgins was the bigot as was rumoured etc?

  24. the glorious balance sheet on

    Clogher Celt

Scepovic indeed has an interesting history, averaging a club every 9 months in a fairly long career.

Signed on a permanent basis for gijon for 300,000 euros in feb 2014, moved to Celtic 6 months later for ten times that amount.

Was never fancied by Ronny Deila from the start.

A highly suspicious transfer in many ways.

  25. Foxy. I guess it depends on your objectives as a ceo.

If it was to be a successful football club, growi g and maturing, law well deserves not only the sack but to be sin died.

If it’s about perpetuating the old firm myth, ensuing that Celtic supporters remain second class citizens and Propping up a corrupt and cheating ethos then perhaps lawlessly deserves a nighthood.

    Which do you prefer?

  26. mullet and co 2 on

Lawell has achieved what the shareholder requires short term.

Return a profit etc while the quality of product reduces due to lack of competition in the market. To those after a bang for the buck short term he’s done a great job… For some.

Long term he can only look himself in the mirror and ask if he made the right choices along with the two boards at Celtic on

    Resolution 12

    Selling players

    Purchase strategy

Decision to disengage with Neil Lennon and appoint Deila

Decision to sign a huge number of duds

    Decision to keep Kris Commons

Decision to go to his sons employers to get players

Decision to delay player signings rather than get them in on time to give us a better shot at the Champions League.

  27. the glorious balance sheet on

    Mullet and co 2

Dahan also seems to become an agent for players once they arrive at Celtic, for example Amido balde, and as you say, also acts as an agent for Celtic in selling/ loaning out players at the club’s behest.

It was he who got balde the loan move to Beveren.

All these loan moves in and out of Celtic are a nice little earner alright.

  28. Corkcelt,

No probs— beats going to China for a 1 hour meeting.

One of the pluses of traveling a bit is flying Emirates A380 first class and having a shower in the plane.

My apartment in Malahide is in the Marina and I can do Dungloe –Malahide in about 3 hours.

Always enjoy Cork especially the seafood. I remember a company called Dovatron before it was taken over by Flextronics and in particular a lovely SVP who the US CEO had a very high regard for.

  29. NEGANON2 on 16TH JULY 2016 11:46 PM

Hope you had a great holiday.

I dont know if youre right or wrong in your assesment of Celtic but if your right and you want things to change you need deep pockets. Celtic are of course a business. If you want the present incumbents out then buy them out or if you personally dont have the money it takes then the obvious solution is to persuade those that have it to agree with your perspective and ….you get the picture.

You might be right? Who knows? I know feck all about running a business as I ve never done it but unlless your privy to insider info I dare say your perspective is difficult to defend.

Strikes me you see things very black and white on a subject matter you dont have the necessary info to make an informed judgement. Maybe you should consider going grey?
