CELTIC’S £5m MISFIT HEADS FOR EXIT

1

ALBIAN AJETI, the £5million misfit signed from West Ham in August 2020, is heading for the Celtic exit.

The Swiss international striker, who has scored a measly nine goals in 47 appearances for the Hoops, is on the brink of agreeing a season-long loan switch to Sturm Graz.

The Austrian club have an option to make the move permanent at a fee of £2.1million, according to local outlet Kleine Zeitung.

ON THE MOVE…Albian Ajeti is on his way to Austria after only nine goals in 47 games.

Ajeti, 25, was picking up a reported £18,000-per-week at Parkhead and agreed a four-year contract when he moved from Davie Moyes’ club.

The frontline flop has toiled to make an impression under Neil Lennon, who brought him to the club, and his successor Ange Postecoglou who has brought in the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Diazen Maeda who can all play in pole position in his attack.

The deal with the Europa League outfit is likely to be sealed within 24 hours.

Ajeti arrived at the same time as £4.5million keeper Vasilis Barkas who also failed spectacularly after his move from AEK Athens.

The ex-Greek international No.1 agreed a temporary transfer to Dutch side FC Utrecht earlier in this transfer window.
