CELTIC’S MENSAH RATING

CELTIC are eyeing up a summer swoop for Ghana World Cup defender Jonathan Mensah.

Ronny Deila has already admitted the Hoops will be looking for at least one new central defender at the end of the season.

Mensah, who plays for French top-flight side Evian, is one who is on the Parkhead gaffer’s radar.
The 24-year-old is available on a free this summer when his deal expires and he has already impressed Deila’s scouts in recent months.

Mensah featured in all of Ghana’s three games during last year’s World Cup Finals in Brazil and also helped his country finish runners-up at the Africa Cup of Nations two months ago._65436462_8337576

Celtic are still weighing up making a move for Hearts skipper Danny Wilson who emerged as a target after Ronny Deila ordered a review of possible signing targets from within the Scottish game. This policy saw the arrival of Gary Mackay-Steven and Stuart Armstrong from Dundee United in January.
Wilson would attract a fee of around £400,000 which would be most welcome at the Tynecastle club which avoided liquidation last year by having a CVA approved by their creditors.
