CELTIC’S SIX APPEAL FOR SCOTS

CELTIC have had six players called up by Scotland boss Alex McLeish for next month’s internationals.

Goalkeeper Craig Gordon, defenders Jack Hendry and Kieran Tierney, midfielders Callum McGregor and James Forrest and striker Leigh Griffiths have been included in the 23-man squad for the Hampden double-header against Belgium and Albania.

The Scots will host the Belgians in a friendly on Friday, September 7, before facing Albania in the UEFA Nations League three days later.

Dedryck Boyata, of course, could play against his old mates in the match, if selected by Roberto Martinez.

The Hoops contingent will meet the challenge of Lithuania’s FK Suduva in the Europa League play-off on Thursday and Sevco Rangers – both at Parkhead – three days later before turning their thoughts to the international front.
