The seemingly chaotic life of the Scottish Football League chief executive, David Longmuir, appears more predictable after First Division clubs made their feelings on league reconstruction known. Significant amounts of trickle-down money is available from the SPL to second-tier clubs from next season if they vote to merge the league organisations, which is likely to result in an 18 team bottom league. Longmuir managed to put a spoke in the wheels of a considerable majority in favour of reconstruction but his hopes will be denied.
Three weeks ago we reported speculation that Longmuir aspired to a job at Newco Rangers. Yesterday he responded by saying, “I know there are different expressions of conspiracy going on but I don’t deal in conspiracy, I deal in fact and honesty”. You can bookmark that for future reference.
I predict that the conspiracy will soon merge with fact and honesty – if Newco can still afford to recruit next season.

I hope I never have to go to the Sun’s website ever again in my life. As fate would have it, within ten minutes of going there, I was at the ticket machine in Chester station to buy a ticket to come to Liverpool. The machine has had a sticker appended to it by the Justice for the 96 campaign, urging people not to buy the Sun. ‘Justice for the 96 – Justice for all,’ it said.
Sometimes you can say a lot with a sticker.
I’ve been ranting on about this aspect from the outset ……. There never was £22m handed over …… The institutional investors were handed millions of shares for 1p…..before the share issue …. Then the asset value was used to set the flotation value and, hey presto, the revised share value of £22m……. Then the institutional investors started buying and selling to each other, to keep the value ‘up’……. with the intention of selling ata strategic ‘moment’ … To whom, though …. LOL….This is possibly illegal trading …

I have to agree,mate. He either stands up or he falls down.
Our CE has been noticeable only-and,IMO,negigible-by his absence.
He either supports us,or the authorities.
Either way,he should explain why.
And I doubt that the standard excuse of abiding by the law,an unjust law,will cut the mustard with a support with a history of rebellion.
