    Cluj were good at making the most of what they have. They will provide a threat next week but we should have enough to go through.

     

     

    Bolingoli looking shaky again. Surprising Wee Dan didn’t try and exploit this more than they managed in the second half. It was our obvious weakness.

     

     

    The BBC have it at full time that the fee has been agreed for KT. As the clock ticks down on the hotel/museum development I hope that we use the money to break ground and get this project under way. Let KTs legacy be the Treble Treble and the beginning of a revenue stream that let’s the club endure for generations to come. If Scottish football survives!

    Good result. it will be a different game next week and hopefully a different Celtic . I thought we were below our best tonight and changes to the defence will take time to gel .

     

    If KT really is away , Peter Lawwell has a huge responsibility to use the money to compensate for the weakening of the team . We need a first choice left back , Boli is not it, Another class forward to help out the overworked Eddy , a midfield enforcer to help and possibly succeed Broony.

     

    I think we’ll see off Cluj next week but provided we do , we need to fix the holes in our team before Slavia .

    Great result. Well done the Bhoys. I thought the team selection was a bit strange. We were weak down the left side but I would not have criticised the selection of Boli before the game, to be fair. Our strongest team would have won the game. Cluj are good but we are better.

    It’s all about winning the tie over 2 legs. Win it and we are guaranteed at least 8 more European games this season.

     

    You would always take a one all away from home.

     

    We got it so we must be satisfied. We should beat this mob by a couple of goals in Celtic Park.

    Not really bothered about Kieran to be honest. If he wants to go then good luck to him. It is imperative however that we replace him promptly and properly. We have seen this coming for weeks now. Let’s see if we have learned lessons from last summers debacle.

    Thoughts on tonight:

     

     

    – New RB looks good- I wonder if we will sign a further RB as back up or as first choice and Dan to compete?

     

     

    – If Sinky is for off we need a new LW- relying on MJ and LM isn’t sufficient this year;

     

     

    – We need a box to box midfielder/powerhouse. Sutton mentioned a few times tonight that we struggled to get bodies in the box. We need a player that can get up and down the park and who is physical. That starting midfield three with the two wingers is lightweight;

     

     

    – Julien looks commanding. He and Ajer should be a good partnership. Jozo shows old frailties. If an offer does exist for Jozo i would be tempted to take it; he could have the poise of Maldini, but if he only plays 25 games a year, we won’t reap the benefits;

     

     

    – JF, while he can be mercurial, provides this team with an out ball in Europe and is invaluable at getting us up the park. He and Shved should provide real strength on the right side of the park this year.

    I hope KT sets the world on fire down there, and then in a year or two, signs for Barcelona … assuming that we have a good sell-on clause.

    OK,thought the pitch was shocking,like concrete,thought Lennys selectionbwas poor,thought,Broony,Camac,Boli,were poor.Thought Morgan,Christie,Ajer,Simo,were hit and miss.Thought Jamesy,Eddi,Hamadi,were very good

    Could not watch the game – due to the toad called work – but happy with the result. Judging by the match posts on this and other sites Cluj are highly beatable and we should finish the job at CP.

     

     

    I see Boli and Morgan coming in for a total roasting – hate seeing that but like I say I haven’t watched the game so won’t comment until I do.

     

     

    KT – all the very best to you at Arsenal. Graced the Hoops and lived the dream.

     

    The Disney scriptwriter in me would have loved you to stay and become a catalyst for the finest Celtic side since THAT one but life, or professional sport, sadly isn’t like that.
