JOE HART was given the honour of leading out Celtic for tonight’s Europa League Group G encounter against Real Betis in Seville.

The 34-year-old former England international keeper was given the captain’s armband with Callum McGregor sidelined through injury.

Ange Postecoglou has been impressed with his £1million buy from Spurs in the summer and had no hesitation in given him the honour in the crucial Euro opener.

Tony Ralston and Ismaila Soro return  to the line-up with Josip Juranovic switching to the left with Adam Montogomery in front of him.

As anticipated, even without McGregor, Liel Abada and Kyogo Furuhashi, the manager went with an attacking side right from the off.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Juaranovic ; Turnbull, Soro, Rogic, Montgomery; Jota, Ajeti. Subs: Barkas, Bain, Scales, McCarthy, Urhoghide, Shaw, Murray, Henderson, Welsh.
