CONFIRMED: EDOUARD, DUFFY OUT; AJETI, AJER IN

ODSONNE EDOUARD and Shane Duffy have been dropped from the team that lost on Thursday as Neil Lennon prepares for the High Noon kick-off with Motherwell at Fir Park today.

The French striker fired blanks in the humiliating 4-1 loss to Sparta Prague and has managed only six goals this season, including a hat-trick against Hamilton Accies on Flag Day on August 2.

Edouard makes way for £5million Albian Ajeti who has netted five since his arrival from West Ham in the summer. Kristoffer Ajer takes over in central defence from the under-pressure Duffy, as CQN stated earlier today.

It is imperative the champions get back to winning ways in their bid for the historic 10 in a row and they go into the match against Stephen Robinson’s outfit nine points adrift of Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox side although they have two games in hand.

The last time the teams met at Fir Park on February 5, the visitors eased to a 4-0 victory with a double from Edouard – one an exquisite free-kick – Callum McGregor and Leigh Griffiths.

TEAM: Bain; Frimpong, Bitton, Ajer, Laxalt; Brown, Christie, McGregor, Rogic; Elyounoussi; Ajeti. Subs: Barkas, Taylor, Duffy, Griffiths, Klimala, Turnbull, Ntcham, Edouard, Elhamed.
