CONFIRMED: TURNBULL IN, PALMA RETURNS

DAVID TURNBULL
gets the nod ahead of Paulo Bernardo to start today’s noon kick-off against St Johnstone in Perth.

The Scotland international midfielder was snubbed for Tuesday’s Champions League loss to Lazio in Rome with the on-loan Portuguese playmaker in the line-up for the must-win encounter.

Turnbull made a late cameo appearance, but gets a starting berth for the match at McDiarmid Park.

Luis Palma, banned for the match against the Serie A outfit, also comes back into the team with James Forrest dropping to the bench.

TEAM: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickes, Scales, Taylor; Turnbull, McGregor, O’Riley; Yang, Kyogo, Palma. Subs: Bain, Ralston, Phillips, Holm, Forrest, Bernardo, Oh, Iwata and M Johnston.

Earlier today, we asked how much you could remember about recent encounters against St Johnstone in CQN‘s fun five-minute quiz.

Now we repeat those questions and provide the answers.

BLOND AMBITION…Sead Haksabanovic during his substitute appearance in the 0-0 draw with St Johnstone at Parkhead in August. He was on his way on loan to Stoke City a few days later. (See Question 1.)

QUESTIONS:

1: Celtic utilised 16 players in the 0-0 stalemate with the Saints in their first meeting this term. One player who performed that afternoon will not be available on this occasion – or for the rest of the campaign. Can you name him?

2: Who was the ex-Celtic prospect who played for the Perth outfit that day?

3: The Saints boss in the Parkhead dug-out in August has left the club. Can you remember his name?

4: Can you name his successor?

5: Who was the St Johnstone player who scored TWICE for Celtic in games at McDiarmid Park last season?

ANSWERS:

1: Sead Haksabanovic, who is on a season-long loan at Stoke City.

2: Graham Carey, who was at Celtic from 2008/11.

3: Steven MacLean.

4: Craig Levein.

5: Andy Considine.

Well done if you got five out of five. Go to the top of the class!
