Contrasting Christie when he’s moved right

433

That’s five consecutive wins after the post-isolation debacle in January but Aberdeen have never come closer to scoring in their six games without a goal than at Celtic Park last night.  The game was decided by the excellent 30-yard strike from David Turnbull that found the corner of the net and the almost-as-good shot from Aberdeen’s Kamberi that struck the post.

Celtic mastered the opening 30 minutes as Aberdeen were content to sit off, but there was no fluidity to our passing from the moment the visitors pressed.  This run of wins is as much as we can ask of the team right now, but it was far from reassuring.

I don’t think I have seen as big a contrast in a player’s performance when he switches positions than that of Ryan Christie, who looks like a £20m player in the No. 10 role and appears anonymous on the right.  For a whole raft of reasons, it is right to retain David Turnbull in the 10 role, but Ryan needs to do his work in the middle of the field.  When he stops deputising for injured James Forrest he should be cover for Turnbull or Neil needs to find him a deeper role.

Feck it, but you are probably right. Celtic lack real tactical awareness and fitness. BTW how sad to see NFL putting the boot into French Eddie – keep that stuff in house, especially when French Eddie has kept silent on it. Sad – poor workman blaming his tools.

I don’t mean to be rude, but I am off to bed – work tomorrow, but he went on about Eddie expected to leave in the summer etc, even if he did, he didn’t go public with it. His dip in form was probably more to do with the general crisis that hit the whole club etc. Plus he got Covid-19 and so on. I just don’t think NFL should shift the blame to a potentially fabulous footballer to say NOT MY FAULT.

He’d be better asking the liquidator for an interview.

Legally the outfit he is addressing has absolutely no responsibility for any abuse carried out.

  5. Big Aribo blessing himself.Another fine upstanding Fella, along with Barasic.

Those thinking the Hun played well, they had 7 players out tonight.

  6. BTW that is only my opinion – could well be crap. Not the end of the world. Off now and just to say – sorry if I offended anyone. In our own way we hopefully want what is best for the Celtic.

I assume that the insurers would have a clause that prohibits Celtic from commenting on cases.

What I don’t understand about this is why the victims don’t sue the old company, (they can get it restored to the companies register for this purpose if necessary) assuming they had insurance cover.

  13. Good morning cqn from an eerily calm (weather wise) Garngad

Anyone seen that extinct species, a binman???

We were due an uplift last Saturday and because of the weather they understandably never turned up, but they are taking the piss now.

Big Jullienne going back to France, I hope we have isolation in place and testing for him when he comes back.

Can he not get the care/rehab here? Again why during a pandemic fly out of here?

Right shower then into work early and a wee half day.

    Stay safe peeps

I agree, I doubt we’ll have any French players by the summer and we’ll lose £ on Julienne and Ntcham but might just break even on Eddie. What an Absolute shambles, 12 months or so ago we would have been expecting something close to 50m Euro for the three of them.
