CQN Magazine L-I-Q-U-I-D-A-T-I-O-N issue out now!

250

We have another great issue of CQN Magazine for you, free of charge to read online – there’s not even any tax to pay!  Hard copies will be available soon. Click here to go to the magazine site for a proper read. The graphic below is only there to allow you to flick through it.

The magazine is packed full of fantastic articles from Celtic supporters from near and far.  We have coverage of our title winning season, tales of supporting the team from disparate locations as well as some great recollections and tales of following Celtic in years gone by.

Slovenian football journalist fan Blaz Mocnik speaks of his delight at learning he wasn’t the only Celtic fan in his village, the infectious enthusiasm of the Good Child Foundation has brought the club to a new followers, and there is a great reference article on money in the SPL.

As always, tons of work went into pulling the magazine together. Many thanks to James, David, Thom and all the readers who submitted an article (some of which have slipped to the next issue).

We like to give each magazine a title, this one, with a special dedication to Pablo, is the L-I-Q-U-I-D-A-T-I-O-N issue!  Enjoy.

FRASER FORSTER will match a shut-out record that has stood for almost a century if he keeps clean sheets in Celtic’s last three games of the season.

The Hoops have kept 23 clean sheets so far this season and will break the SPL record if they manage another one tonight against St Johnstone.

Forster has started 31 league games, while back-up Lukasz Zaluska has played in four.

And if Celts don’t concede a goal in their last three matches against Saints, Dundee United and Hearts, they will equal the club’s all-time shut-out record of 26 games set in 1914.

Hoops legendary keeper Charlie Shaw set that record 97 years ago when he managed those 26 shut-outs in 38 games.

Shaw, who stood just 5ft 6in tall, also managed to go 1,287 minutes without conceding a goal between December 1913 and February 1914.

He played 436 games for Celts, amassing an impressive 240 clean sheets, before moving to America to play and manage New Bedford Whalers FC. He died in New York in 1938.

Pantalonio -ole clever clogs TBB has confidently predicted we’ll see a barrel load of goals from the crazily coiffured Sierra Leonian Cellick goal machine.

It might only be me but I find this Rangers saga has gone on so long its becoming boreing. The powers that be in Scottish football are and will continue to do everything they can to aid a Newco to start life in the SPL. When they are liquidated a debate will take place asking do Newco have a history well the answer is yes and no Third Lanark still have a history so will Rangers Newco of coursw will have to make there own history. With Newco n the SPL Scottish football will have lost any wee bit of credibility it hand and thousand of decent paying fans will desert it no longer willing to put there hard earned cash into a corrupt game.H.H.
