CQN TV on Celtic, Champions League and G.o.D.

466

This is our second CQN TV stint where Glasgow’s hottest model and TV presenter Nicole and social media masters’ student, Suzie, ask me about the season ahead Celtic and our Champions League chances.  I also get a great question about the Generation of Domination, which I’ve not written much about here recently, but you’d better believe it’s coming.

It was great fun talking about Our Celtic, hope you enjoy it.

At school, we were taught/ told that the position of PM was created in the reign of George 1, the Hanovarian.

It was because of the fact that he couldn’t speak English, therefore the PM was in reality, the Voice of the King.

By that reasoning, he was required to have the same religion as the king, i.e. not be a Catholic.

History was much simpler back in the 60s. There wasn’t so much of it then !

Maybe they just didn’t KNOW they were huns;)

That was in 1968/69 though, Celtic fans didn’t start blasting out the Irish version till around 1999 so I’m sure its only since then the huns would associate the song(any version of it) with us directly.

    Good reasoned, factual intelligent post.

As for the vote on friday, it would seem toe that it could go the way of a yes vote. Those clubs who have been undecided are revealing themselves to be in the yes camp

The politician was actually the late David Cairns, who died last year. He was MP for Inverclyde. It required a private members Bill to repeal an Act to enable David to become an MP. He was also a keen Celtic fan.

There’s a constitution. It’s just not a written, codified constitution.

It’s made up of a hotch potch of Acts of Parliament, court decisions, treaties, custom and practice etc.

Princess Annes son, whatever his name is,got married, his wife had to denounce her Catholic Faith,to marry him.(though faith in her case is debatable). The country stinks.

  14. Zbyszek, Britain is one of only two counties in the world without a written constitution.

Instead, our constitutional questions are examined against pre-existing laws.

Thanks for that. I was sure there was no such thing like English Constitution and the System was built on Law Code, not constitution stricte .

a nice wee reminder for the older tims about trouble in janefield street

    __________________________________________________

The way that I remember that night was a – 1v1 draw with big Roy Aitken missing a penalty twice(the same penalty). There were also two red cards – Ally Dawson for old-co canny remember who was sent off for us.

Came out of the Jungle on to Janefield street and soon we were being stampeded by police on horses charging towards the Celtic end. Can’t really recall much more than that other than, seeing on tv-news that the police were getting away with it.

The game the McStay brothers scored in was the previous season.

  17. Thank you , Paul.

I felt something was not right between the lines or my teaches were wrong.

    Nobody had to denounce anything.

The woman in question chose to renounce her religion, presumably to make sure her intended retained his place in the order of succession.

Again that probably is more a condemnation of the individuals than the system.

In any case anyone who accepts the notion of a hereditary head of state but objects to religious restrictions on the holder of the office has swallowed a camel yet strains at a gnat.

I see the nmew away top has been a big hit. I called round to the celtic shop in belfast on friday and they were sold out of the short sleeved adult tops and every other sports shop in belfast is sold out as well. Im gona have to get in early on wednesday to purchase the new hoops!

  21. Very disappointed with the Celtic ticket office re the Ajax game.

I’ve been a season ticket holder for the past three seasons but I’ve moved to Belgium, only a couple of hours drive to Amsterdam, so haven’t renewed for this season. When asking to buy a ticket for the Ajax game, the ticket office made no allowances for this a turned me down despite all the money I’ve spent on the club in the past seasons!

Thankfully, the Dutch lady who spoke perfect English at Ajax was very helpful, and said there was one section that anyone could go to in the stadium, albeit in the Ajax end, though she did advise me that it is the section right next to the Celtic end!

So if there is any European Celtic fans out there who haven’t been able to get tickets for the game due to the season book only rule (for a preseason friendly!) then there is a way by buying tickets from Ajax!

Joining in, when you ought to be composing the leader under which various posters will vie to outdo Philvis for a podium place? Surely only public sector wasters, such as myself (who qualify for the school holidays), ought to have the luxury of debating time during what the private sector laughably call ‘the working day’. And for that matter, swanning around the west end with young ladies and video cameras…

I’m not getting involved in whether or not TB was fit to be a catholic or not. (That would need a blog of its own and I’m certainly not the person qualified to decide that anyway) My point is much simpler, that Blair may have felt his political career would be more difficult if he was RC in senior UK politics.
