DEILA’S DISMAY AGAINST HOOPS’ RIVALS

FORMER Celtic boss Ronny Deila watched Rosenborg snatch a 3-2 win over his Valerenga side with a goal FIVE minutes into stoppage time last night.

The Norwegians prepared for Thursday night’s Europa League Group B tie against Brendan Rodgers’ outfit with a dramatic, last-gasp victory that keeps them two points ahead of Brann at the top of the table after 22 games.

Deila’s side took the lead in the 36th minute through Sam Johnson, but the Hoops’ European foes stormed into the lead shortly after the turnaround with an effort from Jonathan Levi and an Enar Jaeger own goal.

The ex-Bhoys gaffer, who had two years at the club before making way for Rodgers in May 2016, was celebrating again when Amin Nouri levelled just before the hour mark, but deep in added-on time, Isaam Jebali grabbed the winner..

Since losing 3-1 in the Champions League qualifier in Glasgow in July, the Norwegians have won nine and drawn two, including four Europa League qualifiers.

They shocked the home support two months ago when they took an early lead, but the Celts came back with goals from Odsonne Edouard (2) and Olivier Ntcham to claim a crucial win before the goalless return encounter.
