DEMBELE POISED TO RETURN AGAINST KILLIE

1

CELTIC’S 32-goal striker Moussa Dembele is standing by to make his first team comeback in this afternoon’s Premiership encounter against Kilmarnock at Parkhead.

The French Under-21 hitman has recovered from a hamstring problem which has kept him out of the Hoops’ last two matches against Hearts and Partick Thistle.

However, fellow-frontman Leigh Griffiths will still be missing for the third successive game with a fractured bone in his back, the result of a high knee from Slovenian keeper Jan Oblak in the World Cup-tie at Hampden.

Aussie international Tom Rogic, who has played 28 first team minutes this year after his ankle injury problems, could start against the Rugby Park outfit.

The cultured midfielder came on for debut Bhoy Eboue Kouassi in the 1-1 stalemate against Thistle in midweek.

Stuart Armstrong, who also came off the bench against the Firhill side, is expected to start along with his Scotland team-mates Scott Brown and Kieran Tierney, who were both rested.

The visitors, who had a 0-0 draw against Sevco Rangers on Wednesday, will be without towering Norwegian central defender Kristoffer Ajer who cannot play against his parent club.
