Good game tonight. A few regi’s but some encouragement. Good to see a run out for Liam and Darnell. Both improved the side. Scepovic looked hungry and Biton for the most part was decent. Adam and Callum were woeful and I don’t really understand why. Both good players with decent recent form.
We seem to get drawn to the ball a lot. Full backs drifting inside is dangerous.

Apparently Mr Alexander Easdale wants the home crowd at Ibrox to cheer more.
He is correct.
The people who claim to be Rangers supporters have much to be grateful for.
Had there been a different approach in 2012 from those on the 6th floor at Hampden then there would have been no club called Rangers starting season 2012/2013.
Instead Mr Regan took Charles Green and his offshore associates at their word and, well, you know the rest.
It appears to me that the objective of the people in charge of the national game was to have a Rangers, any Rangers, playing the following season.
They even conjured up the convenient fiction of a ‘conditional membership’.
So at this juncture The People really should be very grateful that they can visit a stadium called ‘Ibrox’ to cheer on a team called ‘Rangers’.
Currently it is only the money of Mike Ashley that is standing between this Rangers and financial oblivion.
To that end it would appear that Mr Llambias is getting seriously Dickensian at Ibrox.
I am sure saintly Sir Bob Geldof could do a little charity gig to let them know it’s Christmas time in Govan.
The ghost of Sevco future looks very unlike old Rangers or even the new pretend Rangers created by Charles of Normandy.
In the future, if they have one, new Rangers will be a business that will wash its own face.
For starters it will break even and that will be non-negotiable.
However, the very able Mr Llambias is finding that RIFC/TRFC has a birth defect built into it.
Charles of Normandy and his offshore pals continue to do very well indeed out of the creature they created in 2012.
The Onerous Contracts will obstruct Mr Llambias the same way that they stymied Philip Tudor Nash.
However what cuts can be made are now being implemented.
This was not the case when Laxey partners were pushing for major austerity measures in February.
A year on from when Philip Tudor Nash first set foot in the Big House the financial situation is so clear that even The People now get it.
There is a cash crisis and only severe cutbacks will do.
After each department in Ibrox has been reduced then Murray Park will be next in 2015.
Costs in every area of the business will be micromanaged by Llambias and his team.
That is what he is there for.
When I stated here over a year ago that the choice for Sevco was ‘austerity or insolvency’ I actually meant it.
The former has now arrived and it remains to be seen if the latter can be averted.
At a recent meeting last month of the Rangers fan Board Mr Alexander Easdale stated that the fans should celebrate more.
At time of writing the financial situation is utterly desperate and the catastrophically low crowds this month could prove fatal.
If The People are of the belief that Rangers did not die in 2012 and this is the same club founded in 1872 then they had better start turning up at Ibrox while it is still home it their beloved club.
Because of the deals with Sports Direct and the other Onerous Contracts the only revenue streams now available to the club are ticket sales, programs and corporate hospitality.
That’s it.
Therefore the amount of paying fans turning up to the Bleak Big House is important.
Yesterday The People punched the air at the Telfer decision.
Well they have Mr Easdale to thank for that.
I can reveal that when the money was originally put on the table Philip Tudor Nash wished to settle and bank the funds.
However Mr Alexander Easadle would hear none of it.
He realised what it meant to the fans on the ‘old club new club’ issue and he understood that because he is a fan himself.
Moreover, he told Nash that the club would fight and they would take it all the way.
The Easdale brothers are the only guys left standing in the Blue Room with an emotional connection to Rangers.
Yet these two working class guys get the most appalling online opprobrium hurled at them on a daily basis from the heroically anonymous and bravely concealed on light blue message boards.
It is worth remembering that these brothers put their own cash into RIFC/TRFC and will almost certainly never see it back again.
Despite this they continue to abuse the Easdales.
If I were one of The People I think would be a little more grateful.

The warning signs were there early doors when they had a goal chalked off. Matthews was way out of position. After their 4th goal, I put the tv on pause. So bad, I thought we were going to ship 7 or 8. I waited 40minutes and fast forwarded the tv, mightily relieved at a respectable scoreline. The 3 who were subbed were dire. Who scouted Wakasso ? Scouting system needs overhauled.
Those who denigrate Broony and Stokes should have a rethink. SJ,too was weak defensively. RD was right to omit key players like Brown and Forest, but should have picked a better starting eleven eg Henderson for McGregor, and anybody for Wakasso. Good buys essential in January sales, or its a humping in the knock out stages.

Good morning friends and a Big Happy Friday from a snow-dusted frosty looking but currently mostly clear skied East Kilbride.
It’s the ole works Christmas Day Oot this afternoon/evening starting with a pre-meal aperitif in the Blane Valley ;-)
I have a friend Mario in Croatia who is Celtic daft. He and his little daughter just love everything about the club, even though they have never been outside Croatia. Mario lost his wife and is himself not in the best of health, but he is dedicated to his daughter and they were recently homeless due to local bureaucracy until the new Mayor of his town stepped in and supplied them with a modest apartment.
Yesterday Mario made his way to Zagreb to fulfill a lifelong ambition to see his beloved Celtic in the flesh.
Last night he sent me this:
I ‘m going home put my hat just as morphine yields and its end of the game but I managed …I managed …I managed my dear friends ..I saw the holy Celtic though we lost but celtic is sacred …when I entered the stadium to the south where the best fans in the world …I started to cry ..I cried with joy dear friends and I go home and I would love to forever be with Celtic …celtic and his fans are something best in the world …celtic is eternal forever …let no man resent …but my god, my soul is filled …I can get you all hugged you are the best ..I went celebrate all the good what happened these days …of obtaining housing what I got ( thank Mayor Kristina ) and everything and everyone I am grateful …I could enjoy all day but these few hours are special best in the world ..the birth of my child now and apartment …and thank you dear people , and I pray to God that I see one day Saints Celti Park …thanks for the tickets that we purchased Celtic fans..God bless …Thanks to everyone for everything becouse its so much what you do fir my daugter Ira me and my family … God bless my very good friend Dubravko who help me whit walk and all and just something great..i knowe all this is to much but for me first time for god sake i am so proud and happy and people who see celtic every week dear god that is something special .. God bless you … Dear god bless you i love you Croatia Celtic family forever …i write now all this and cry of all … GOD BLESS YOU GOD BLESS YOU GOD BLESS YOU HAIL HAIL
I received the above after reading some of the self-indulgent nonsense posted on CQN last night by so-called Celtic supporters who simply do not know how lucky they are, and it made me want to weep too.
Everyone sees the game diff. Tom that I will go along with, but some go right over the top with the criticism, and some of them are lurking HUNS, opinions are accepted on every thing you have to respect that, but after any celtic defeat on here you can put the pot on for the same old cracked record, and they are so predictable, my stalkers usually when I stick up for the team retort back at me about my spelling and dictionary in my posts, I always think to myself, well if that’s your best mate what kind of company would you be standing at a bar having a conversation about the game?

If you google same you will find out why I am scouring Celts sites at unearthly hours. Fingers crossed that I am able to enjoy a nice festive bevvy come Christmas!
Good .Tom, that your Croatian friend enjoyed his beloved hoops. I have a friend in Malta who is on the same wavelength. He once sent me a tape of himself playing the Celtic Song on the piano at a party for deprived kids in Malta. It was very nice.
Guid shout for Inter Amigo, mibbe even go maself and wear my sheep-mask so that I will fit in as I pay a visit to the ole CQN corner :)
Aye…more like a sheep-mask with a chain-mail suit and, a crash helmet:)
Nah seriously fella enjoy all yer stuff today and stay safe ok.
Last nights game amounted to no more than a kick aboot so, not important or, a big deal to lose. I wonder if the sheep will exceed the half-stadium crowd limit for the knock-out stage in EL or, diz sleekit know something we dont? about the LCSF which could put Timdoms noses out of joint? He seems to have become even more of a smug bassa than usual of late. Hmmmmm? Something is cooking in sleekits kitchen – ah can smell it from here. Anyway, guid to see big Scepovic on the score sheet last night he will bang them in for the hoops(gut feeling) and if JG has to leave we should sign big Hibs striker Dominique Malonga and pair him with Scepovic.
But ye know what?
It’s so flucking annoying knowing that good, well intentioned, innocent Celtic folk are paying their hard earned dough and getting such a meagre return from those who run ‘their’ club, or it should be ‘theirs’ but the will to take it isny there.
Maybe it’ll be forced upon them by unexpected events….?
Anyway to conclude….puppets in the dug-out = p#sh product on the pitch.
And yet, the innocents buy it?
Are they innocent?
Maybe they like being took for suckers?
Who knows?
Just be yer usual self today and ye’ll be fine & grand.
Take care pal – Off oot, bye.

Got to go now. I will check later. Tremendous story.
Maybe someone else has a story about their lifelong love of Celtic being spoiled by rozzer harassment of their kids, with little support from CP and a lack of concern from such sacred places as CQN, where the general belief is that such weans must bring it on themselves, or are being manipulated by evil entities such as the Celtic Trust?
How did you describe us the other morning, “davidopoulous”? “Nutters” was the word I think you used.

Nice use of the usual insults that are thrown about like confetti on here these days. You have just labelled a few posters on here, myself included, as a Hun, a “daftie” and a “fake Celt” simply for having a different opinion to you.
I have no idea why you are intent on throwing up direct comparisons with commons and Johansen. They don’t generally play in the same position with Johansen only having played in a commons-esque role v Salzburg and Motherwell (where as I said before i thought he played well).
Also commons has 2 European goals this season not 1 as you state. Re your unfavourable comparison of commons against pirlo and Lubo – I’m not sure what purpose that serves, I know of no Celtic fan who would ever claim kris was anywhere near in the same class as those players. Saying he is the best of what we have now is not the same as calling him Lubo or Pirlo.
If you must insist on comparing Johansen and Commons on their European record you might want to reflect on the sitter that Johansen missed in Maribor and how that influenced the tie. Or ask what he did v Legia Warsaw.
Kris has done the business for us in the past against teams of that level – decisive goals v the likes of Helsingborg elfsborg. He got us out of a whole v Karagandy.
Frankly I don’t think he has ever been CL quality but in terms of creating chances against middling European teams I struggle to see what better option we have in our squad.
Finally the 4 goals we lost last night were not down to Kris Commons. We had a non-existent defensive midfield that Zagreb cut through with ease, a right back who had another awful performance in Europe with the first 3 goals coming down his side and the move that led to the 4th being built down his side.

Rangers boss Ally McCoist tells Dundee United: Quit your whingeing over the Charlie Telfer fee

THE Ibrox manager hit back after Tannadice chairman Stephen Thompson had blasted £204k wedge for starlet.

Rangers FC/Press Association ImagesAlly McCoist has hit back at Stephen Thompson
RANGERS boss Ally McCoist has told Dundee United chairman Stephen Thompson to stop moaning about the compensation fee he has been forced to pay for Charlie Telfer.
An SPFL tribunal ordered the Tannadice side to hand Rangers £204,000 after signing the former Ibrox youngster in the summer.
But United chief Thompson – who had expected to pay around £100,000 – claimed the figure is “ridiculously prohibitive” and warned it could have a serious impact on young Scots’ ability to move clubs under freedom of contract.
Telfer, named November’s SPFL young player of the month, knocked back the offer of a new Gers contract to move to Tayside but league chiefs ruled the Light Blues should be reimbursed after spending 10 years developing the Scotland Under-19 cap.
SNSCharlie Telfer won the SPFL Young Player of the Month for NovemberCharlie Telfer won the SPFL Young Player of the Month for November
But McCoist claims Thompson has no reason to complain – because he knew exactly what the rules said before moving for the 19-year-old.
He said: “It’s very, very uncommon for these tribunals to see both parties leave delighted with the outcome.
“We feel happier with the outcome and that we got our just rewards for the education we gave Charlie over the past 10 years.
“I can also understand Dundee United’s disappointment.
“But Stephen knew the rules before he went and got Charlie. I don’t think you can complain about the rules after you make your own decision. You have to abide by them.
“Dundee United decided to go and get Charlie, which was well within their rights.
“But they knew the rules before they did that. Now they are having a moan about the rules. I’m not necessarily sure that should be the case. The rule hasn’t changed since United went and got Charlie.”

Rangers will take a sizeable travelling support to Dumfries for Friday night’s Championship clash with Queen of the South after selling out their allocation of away tickets.
That is a stark change to their recent run outs at Ibrox.
The club claimed around 28,000 fans had turned out for last Saturday’s 1-0 win over Cowdenbeath – only for chairman David Somers to later admit the real figure was 9,000 fewer.
Crowd numbers have dwindled on the back of a season-ticket boycott sparked by anger over the current board’s handling of the Glasgow giants.
But recent results – most notably the shocking Petrofac Training Cup exit to part-time Alloa – has tipped many supporters over the edge.
McCoist, though, has warned his players not to use the silence from the stands as an excuse.
He said: “It’s definitely a different stadium when the crowds are down.
“When I first went to Ibrox there were crowds of less than 10,000 and there is something eerie about it.
“Make no mistake about it, our players would much rather play in it when it is full to capacity.
“But whether it is 1,000 or 50,000, the job is still the same. The focus on getting results can’t change and won’t change.
“Every team can do more, no matter if it is Rangers or Real Madrid.
“We set out to win games and the best way to do that is to score goals and to play attractive football.”
Rangers had 36,000 season-ticket holders last season – but that figure has dropped to 17,000 this term.
But McCoist is confident the stay-away fans can be lured back.
Asked if he was worried the boycotting fans may never return, he said: “I wouldn’t necessarily agree with that because when I first came here I was playing in front of crowds that were under 10,000 but within a year it was up to 45,000 or 50,000.
“It might be harder for them to come back but it is certainly not the case that they won’t come back.
“We proved before that they can come back and will come back.”
Is the £204,000 fee Dundee United have been told to pay Rangers for Charlie Telfer a fair figure?

Hi, yeah I posted a comment in relation to the idea that Scotland is an institutionally prejudiced country compared with the evidence of institutional prejudice that we have seen in USA lately.
In hindsight maybe nutters was a bad choice of word. Have a good day.
Kris is in the papers this morning moaning that he has only been offered a one year contract, well if that’s it and he is not happy with that, then like Sammy he can walk it’s his choice, if he can get a better one then good on um, I wish him all the luck in the world him and his family, and we all move on.

67Heaven,
Hahaha.
Haha.
When you first posted here I thought you were a wean. Now you seem to be making an effort to portray yourself as someone that knows what’s going on behind the scenes.
Be as much of a sycophant as you want, but stop discouraging other posters. You’re a muppet, mate.

I’ll leave it there.
Tom,
Great story.
Glad you have taken note of its value as well. Keep it in mind and you’ll do well.

Tom its very early, but there will not be a better post today. Hail Hail.

Tom,
I would willingly contribute to a fund to bring your friend and his daughter to Celtic Park. I am certain enough others would as well. So, if you fancy setting something up….
Got to go now. I will check later. Tremendous story.
JJ
Maybe someone else has a story about their lifelong love of Celtic being spoiled by rozzer harassment of their kids, with little support from CP and a lack of concern from such sacred places as CQN, where the general belief is that such weans must bring it on themselves, or are being manipulated by evil entities such as the Celtic Trust?
How did you describe us the other morning, “davidopoulous”? “Nutters” was the word I think you used.
Celtic first, eh.

Fat arse sure don’t do irony, my god?

FFM – I’m the only conspiracy theorist in the village)
Hi, yeah I posted a comment in relation to the idea that Scotland is an institutionally prejudiced country compared with the evidence of institutional prejudice that we have seen in USA lately.
In hindsight maybe nutters was a bad choice of word. Have a good day.
Kris is in the papers this morning moaning that he has only been offered a one year contract, well if that’s it and he is not happy with that, then like Sammy he can walk it’s his choice, if he can get a better one then good on um, I wish him all the luck in the world him and his family, and we all move on.
davidopoulos,
Well what would your new choice of word be?
Now KC is “moaning” according to our DR ( I buy it for my maw) reader. So it begins.
Off oot myself.
FFM – I’m the only conspiracy theorist in the village)
Something more respectful and less inflammatory. You can choose it if you like.
davidopoulos,
How can I possibly help you apply labels to the pigeon-holes you are putting people into?
Only you know what you meant, and that now you didn’t mean it.
Have a good day.
Just another wee reminder for the CQN Annual 2015. All copies ordered yesterday are being posted 9am this morning. All the Lions still with us have contributed to this year’s CQN Annual – it really is special.
You can get the Annual for £12.99 or choose the £15 option and select any Celtic DVD from a list of ten. Check it out at http://www.cqnbookstore.com
If you are around before the game on Sunday pop into the Celtic Superstore where Davie Hay and Alex Gordon will be doing a book signing for Caesar & The Assassin – the brilliant new book from CQN. Davie will be there from 10.30 am to just before kick off.
FFM – I’m the only conspiracy theorist in the village)
I have no desire to argue or fall out with you. Take care.

Tom McG, I too would be happy to contribute to bring your Croatian friend to Paradise. The guy deserves it. He gets what being a Tim is all about.
Where can we donate to your friend’s venture?
I’ll sort him out with a dram if he’s a bit of an whisky lush anaw.
Get it done.
