Walls are closing in on Dave King with the news that the Takeover Panel were granted a court order to force the Newco chairman to offer to comply with count instructions that he buy out shareholders outside his concert party. Money for the offer, totalling £11m, has to be in place before it can be made, which is the sticking point.
While all of this MAY be no more than an administrative oversight, Newco have just announced the resignation of two directors: Paul Murray and Barry Scott. Murray, a director of former Rangers, has been an absolute charm. How Newco will survive without his Midas Touch is unknown.
Directors of a business are liable for its conduct, have a duty to protect the interests of all shareholders and creditors. If they fail in this duty, they can be prosecuted. Paul Murray was a close ally of King, especially during the years the Glib and Shameless one agitated to get control of the club he supported all of its life. To paraphrase Deepthroat, follow the rats off the ship.
The Newco experiment has failed. It is a shambles at every level, drowning in toxicity, with regulatory, legal and funding challenges out with its control – and things are not going too well on the field either.
Remember, current custodians and fans groups chased the Easdales (actual benefactors) and one of Europe’s richest men (who loaned Newco five players), out of town. For what? They knew the money they had. They knew there would not be a Nomad in place “within 48 hours”. They were not Fergus McCann-type newbies to football, they knew the resources required to run a football club.
They knew all of this better than you or I, but we were the ones pointing out the blatantly obvious.
Where is the Mea Culpa from those who led the fans? Who is there left with clean hands? When will fans be told how bad things actually are (they are very bad, btw)?

Many moons ago my Gran used to send me to the butchers to get a tub or two of the potted hough, I loved it, I also use to get her any other stuff she wanted, I recall on more than one occasion getting sent back to the butchers to complain that there was too much fat on the beef, the butcher never said a word, just gave me another piece of meat with much less fat, as for stovies, never had better than she made, never, I could say that for most of what she made right enough, those were the days :-)

A bit down, but it is for the best, the vet said it went fine, he is very groggy from the anesthetic, we will hopefully get him back the morra, he should be able to walk quick enough as he hasn’t had the use of it for a while, it should be easier in reality, still a drastic thing to do but it was dead so.

Norrie my old china I will be honest and tell you that I have no idea what I am doing when I get there!
I believe that I will be painting walls, clearing yards, and doing all sorts of practical things which I am completely shite at but am willing to have a go!
For those who have no idea what this conversation is about, I have agreed to go out to Malawi in June to work for the CFC Foundation and Mary’s Meals to help with the 67 kitchens and various school projects operated by Mary’s Meals and supported by the Celtic Charity Foundation.
They were looking for someone practical and who could be useful but found that someone dropped out and they had a place to fill so they are stuck with me — the world’s number one useless bozo.
Mind you if they are looking for someone to make the kids laugh and sing and to tell them stories then they have struck gold!!
N — beyond that I am off to London (again) in the wee small hours for the first of a series of big meetings with ra crooked banking fratenity to see if I can get some big wedge out of organisations which have ruined people’s lives.
They are at the stage where they have been forced into paying something and we are now at a question of how much. No matter what comes of it the sum will never be enough to compensate for ill health, broken marriages, evictions, depression and all that has gone on for the past ten years but the verbal kicking will bring some satisfaction and the eventual cheques will do some good.
Beyond that I neither know nor care what day it is!!
Hope yer well and that yer yoghurt pot is overflowing!!

The prizes for the big booze raffle are actually staring me in the face right now — untouched by human lip pr hand.
The money for the big booze raffle remain in the same account as it has been sitting in for dunky’s.
Both of these things are to my reddened shame as I have retained names of all the entrants on my laptop and indeed have the names of one or two others who sent me payment by cheque, postal order, smoke signals and pidgeon.
Seriously, once e-bay were withdrawing support for the raffle because it involved booze I looked at a couple of ways to resurrect it but then circumstances overtook me and I have never gotten round to it.
My aologies to everyone who bought a ticket.
However, all is not lost. The prizes are still there. The tickets are still there. the names of the entrants are still there (Though we should have had more had we continued with it) and the will to resurrect it and complete it is strong.
What I need at the moment is a glamorous assistant. An Isla St Clair or a Debbie McGhee type person who can help with this and get it over the line.
Alas, in the quest to find such an assistant I have also failed miserably.
The best I can come up with is a hairy bloke and a golfing gnome with a taste for whisky!
