ABERDEEN keeper Jamie Langfield has sensationally hit out at Andy Walker after he claimed the Dons do not possess a No 1 stopper.

The 35-year-old was on the substitutes’ bench during the Pittodrie club’s 1-0 defeat at home to Premiership champions Celtic on Sunday.

With Scott Brown in goal for Aberdeen, he prevented the Parkhead side adding to their single strike from his namesake by producing a handful of excellent saves in the second half.

However, it was the comments of ex-Celt Walker on Sky Sports that left Langfield furious.

He took to Twitter on Sunday evening to vent his fury and wrote: “This is worth the fine I’m going to get…’Andy Walker is a bell**d’.”

His Tweet was subsequently ‘retweeted’ over 950 times as a majority of fellow-users of the social media site responded with their anger at Walker’s comments.

The Pittodrie club will almost certainly taken action and the SFA Compliance Department should certainly take a dim view of Langfield’s rant.

They weren’t slow to act when they censured John Guidetti after remarks about the death of Rangers FC on a Dutch TV programme.
Celtic supporters recently displayed a banner saying that all Guidetti, who we are unlikely to see again in a Celtic jersey, did was tell the truth. A bit like Langfield!
