Read some bhoys not liking the chat about us playing poorly……when we were playing poorly.
Sorry. I’d take 1-0 every match this season. But in truth, we all know that when scraping 1-0s becomes your ‘normal’, then any dip in form leads to dropped points and lost titles.
I hope that you have a Day off work soon…or you are able to meet up on a Saturday when the Celts game is on the Sunday ( Like this week ) for a good bevvy and plenty of banter ?
My Local is very spacious so social distancing is pretty good….although it means that I cant get too close to the Burds !
The Burds must be lovin it ?

It would be a pleasure to share a socially distanced gargle with you. We could alleviate any Celtic issues and put the world to rights.
`Read some bhoys not liking the chat about us playing poorly……when we were playing poorly.`
I think that `some bhoys` simply have a different view of what `playing poorly` means.
If we create, for example, five chances and score three then most would feel we had played quite well. If we scored all five, then we were excellent and if we scored one we were poor.
The importance of `ten` increases the almost desperate need for victory in games and most won`t relax until we are a few goals ahead in a game or quite a few points ahead in the league.
As Turkeybhoy said the other day, he watched the game AFTER knowing the score and thought we played quite well. Likewise, Philbhoy , after watching the highlights, felt we had played better than he had initially thought.
I remember not so long back beating Aberdeen 9-1 or 9-0 then, in the same season, losing 1-2 to Dunfermline, I think, The stats, shots on target etc, were actually better in the game we lost but I very much doubt anyone felt we played anything less than superbly against the Dons and poorly against the Pars.
Of course we won`t play well EVERY game but, with the players we have and the attiude displayed, `poor performances`are unusual and should be judged on just that ie performance, rather than on how many goals we score from chances created.
Our record over recent seasons would support my view that we do not play poorly as often as `some bhoys` might think.
Incidentally and `for the avoidance of doubt`,I think those who feel we are quite often poor feel that way because their support for Celtic is so strong they want the very best from our team in terms of results and that, whilst watching the game live, can colour judgement occasionally.
Well, that wa a lot longer than I intended and I am off to the golf now !!

Hot Smoked, totally agree. You echo what I posted top of page 26.
Good morning from a sunny but chilly Costa del Moray.
HS very good summation.
Me and my Bhoy were highly critical during the game especially about Broonie but if you watch the goal it is a finely constructed goal in which Broonie plays a major part. Maybe always best to count to 10 then reassess.
However, 2 up front is a must. We also feel that Moi has a major (detrimental) impact on French Eddie’s game as Eddie prefers to occupy the space that Moi drifts into. Moi is not a winger and does not play up the wing to deliver a killer cross.

Morning all – hope today is a good one for you and yours.
Enjoyed last night’s football.
CL final a decent match.
After watching the wrap up show I had the genuine fortune of then coming across Sportscene.
Wow !
Production values : excellent
Neutrality of panel : amazing
Panel’s knowledge and communication skills : out of this world (as in an extra terrestrial alien would be more coherent in English than Naismith)
Match highlights : honest and fair
Real ding dong battle at Tannadice.
End to end stuff.
Chances galore for both teams.
I thought OE hit the bar with a free kick second half but must have just been my imagination.
Only downside – poor wee ref failing his arithmetic test.
Was asked to count to ten but could only make it to seven.
Great analysis – there are none so blind as those who will not see.
If everyone in the squad was as consistent & influential as Scott, we’d be in CL groups every year HH

Perhaps an option might be for Moi to play on the right, with Ryan in the centre to support Eddie.

It’s not great analysis and as for the 2nd sentence, have a watch of the Cluj debacle last year. We need to solve the Scott Brown conundrum. People on here standing in front of the PC “doing the Broonie” in response to that are adding nothing to that frankly.

We have a team system to sort asap or the ECL dream ends for another season or we start drifting to an ordinary Hun team with their own systemic problems.
Buy a better LB.
Play the best players in their best positions – Moi is not a LW, Frimpong is not a RB, Brown, Ntcham and Callum together is a disorganised mess, Eddie needs a partner, the team needs a No. 10 (Moi or Rogic or Buy someone) and LW and RW to get the ball in.
Drop players who aren’t playing well.
Buy a left footed CB, put Ajer right and stick Julien in the middle. Duffy is a Julien replacement so don’t see the point unless we want more leaders.
Playing crap teams so far (Killie, Hamilton, Rejkavik and DUFC) are masking the problem.

I’d turn that on its head.
Sessegnon would be a terrific upgrade and Duffy would be a strange use of our limited budget. We are crying out for a left sided, mobile CH with good passing skills. Big Shane isn’t that player.

Think some yesterday were under the impression,I was comparing Greg Taylor,to KT.Dont be ridiculous.Missed the point totally.KT was an outstanding LB,but my point was,LBs do not win you leagues. When Henryk left,we saw the Hoopers, Mc Donald’s,Griff, not a patch on Henryk, but doing a very fine job of replacing him,by scoring goals.Taylor is doing a fine job bombing up and down the wing, crossing, cut backs, supporting others.
Remember, this is quite a new role for Taylor.Kilmarnock never asked or wanted him to be this adventurous.
IMHO,I think the boy is doing a great job trying to emulate the job that KT did.
