Don’t forget that it is against a back drop of Pedro and Neil enjoying the benefit of the team BR built, the £40m+ net in the bank and the season ticket waiting list.
Added to that, Sevie G started on a £29m turnover versus our £101m turnover.
File under, “How not to run a football club”.
Just wait for Pedro’s golden handshake to really put the tin hat on it.

There’s an element of truth in the philosophy of “looking forward” so let’s hope that this is what the club is doing and now.
Lennon is gone; Kennedy won’t get the gig and the league is officially done. So we should be looking to appoint our new man ASAP, let him assess the squad, find out who’s staying and going and let him start the rebuild.
For every day that passes by with Kennedy still in the role (and this isn’t a dig at Kennedy), Sevco’s odds on 2IAR fall slightly lower.
An Dún on
I’m glad it’s officially over. I had very little confidence in us stopping them at Celtic Park.
The scale of our rebuild is absolutely huge. Desmond, Lawwell, Lennon and Kennedy have put our Club back years.

Celtic’s nine-year domination of Scotland is over – and they have no-one to blame but themselves. They have been a rudderless ship for too long as they have sailed disastrously towards the rocks. Leadership has been required on and off the pitch and there has been an obvious lack of guidance.
They have practically gift-wrapped the championship and had it sent across Glasgow following a sequence of blunders as they got caught in a minefield of mistakes throughout the season that morphed into a death of a thousand cuts.

The Empire Exhibition football tournament was concluded last night at the Ibrox Stadium before a crowd of 82,000. It was a magnificent finish to the series – a game of sustained interest played at a tremendous pace and, at times, intense excitement.
Celtic had a greater degree of thrust in attack to justify their narrow victory. Every player in this game of two hours’ duration gave of his utmost and accordingly, individual praise may be considered unnecessary. Tribute, however, should be paid to the exceptionally powerful defence of both teams.
Kennaway, whose play had considerable bearing on Celtic’s progress to the final, had another grand match. His almost foolhardy save from Lawton will be often recalled.
Joe Kennaway
Joe Kennaway
Lyon was the other outstanding player in the Parkhead defence. The three inside forwards bore the brunt of the forward work.
Lyon, Wilie
Everton began promisingly, their attack being precise and swift. Gradually Celtic wore them down and the Everton goal had several close calls. Sagar was caught out of his goal on one occasion and it was lucky for him that Crum just failed to connect. Everton rallied and forced a few corner kicks. Then came Kennaway’s daring save when he threw himself to the ground at Lawton’s feet.
In the second half, Celtic began vigorously and Everton had another escape when Sagar ran too far out and Jones [centre-half] contrived to hook the ball off the goal line. Play continued to alternate with great rapidity but at the end of ninety minutes, there was no scoring.
After six minutes of the extra-time, Crum scored for Celtic. It was well-conceived and smartly taken from 15 yards with a shot of great accuracy. Sagar got his hands to the ball but could not possibly have stopped it.
Celtic thus add the Exhibition trophy to the Glasgow Charity Cup and the Scottish League Championship as their honours of the season.

In 2019, I was in a rocking Irish Bar in Washington D.C. thronged by noisy Hoops fans celebrating the Scottish Cup win over Hearts. We had observed Desmond, Lawwell, Bankier et al in a huddle in the stand after the game, and were curious what they were conferring about. Then the Lennon ‘shower’ appointment was announced.
Apart from a few, “Aw, fer feck’s sakes”, the whole pub went quiet. It was like a pall or a bucket of cold water had been thrown over the celebrations. Thereafter, the atmosphere was muted, as fans pondered the significance of the announcement. Despite fans’ affection for Neil Lennon, it was patently obvious that the overwhelming reaction was that it was the cheap option and a major step down from Brendan Rodgers, and was a clear reflection on the Club’s lack of ambition.

As a Celtic supporter for nearly 45 years and a season book holder for 20 odd I can honestly say I have never profited financially from being a fan.
But emotionally I have given my all.
Peter Lawwell you have became a very rich man on the back of the club you claim to love the way I do
Make no mistake your legacy will be the man who lost the 10 in my eyes anyway..
Oh and by the way when you support Celtic you are not a customer you are a investor in a club and cause you love..
Now all you who want away..
Please .
Fuck off.
