  1. I asked a librarian if she had a book about Pavlov’s dog and Schrodinger’s cat…

She said it rang a bell but wasn’t sure if it was there or not..

  2. I make a post, and say I’v no discussion on it that’s it.

People say, awe aye right no discussion that’s no right, you should discuss it.

Ok I discuss it. In only the way I do.

Aweeee that’s shocking, that’s disgusting , yi can’t be saying that? Am tellin.

The vast majority that post on here have no affiliation with the Celtic Trust but recognise the work they do that goes unseen…. No banner waving, they just get on with it.

You seem to have a problem with that, your choice, I for one appreciate the assistance they have given to Celtic supporters being crimilised for nothing more than following Celtic. HH

Sadly, I’m having to arrange for someone else to bring my 12 year old daughter to meet me after the recruitment drive because I worry for her safety after the vitriol from posts I’ve read on here.

    —————————————————————–

I hope HT was exaggerating, because if he really feels that, then that is one of the saddest things I have read on here concerning fellow Celtic supporters.

My God if that’s what our internal debates have really come to then we need a good reality check. If true then we really are no better than the Stormtroopers from Greyskull.

I am currently reading the constitution of the Celtic Trust found online. I too have reservations about them, but I will read with an open mind.

As I recall the nugget’s post was a tongue in cheek attempt at humour and was in fact endorsing your opinion of the hun interloper.

You sir are a gentleman. It’s just not worth the risk taking the wean with me for the recruitment drive. You know what it’s like, someone with too many swallies stoats up and starts having a go, she doesn’t need to see that mate. She’s just loving going to watch Celtic.

Would prefer to keep Efe myself. Would punt Boyata. Efe has made some high profile mistakes but there seems to be a improvement of late. RD has been working on his concentration.

The 10am mass is the family one and the wee yin makes her confession this year so it’s 10am to get her card marked, our parish went live today and the mass was broadcast to local care homes and for the sick and elderly who can’t physically make it to the chapel, moving with the times

enjoy your day the day looking forward to both Ross Co and Hibs games, might even watch a bit of EPL in between the Italian, French and whatever else is on

Timbhoy3 cheers, I just want the refs to play the game, the more I think they don’t treat us the same the more we need to call them out, especially after we win, but I suppose we need them even if they are garbage, quite like BT for the Liverpool v Arsenal game when the ref made a dodgy decision they went live to Howard Webb who spoke about iit from the refs viewpoint and not the so called expert punters…..would like a ref or former ref to discuss some of the decisions up here (for both sides)

Although I think he’ll offer the same as a Shifty type player in the Hoops, I’d think if he goes anywhere he comes to us, and a willing stooge in Shortie is letting the Same Business ( sorry, Klub)-as-usual myth proliferate.

In and around recent friendly banter about the Celtic Trust and the PLC Directors, I was disappointed this morning to read the confirmation of Sir David Murray’s personal liquidator, Christopher McKay ex-Deloitte, as our executive Financial Director this month. Another wasted opportunity to introduce some gender or ethnic diversity onto the club’s Board.

A few years ago I posted here that looking at the top table during our AGM reminded me of a lunchroom at a posh golf club and already I’m picturing this year’s AGM line-up as akin to a conclave of caucasian cardinals.

Anyway, this is his profile from the club pages; Christopher McKay (40), Financial Director, joined the Company in January 2016 from a senior position with global consultancy firm Deloitte, where he spent the last 18 years in professional services. Chris qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in 2000 and has spent the last 15 years within the Financial Advisory area. He has extensive advisory experience in many industries across the UK and International Markets.

    72 Hours from Administration

    by sitonfence

Every statement made by the current board deflects from the truth. There is one truth that can no longer be denied. Ashley gave Rangers an ultimatum. They had to pay the £5m by year’s end or he have would appointed receivers. The board knew he was not bluffing. The statements on the 24th December and 1st January had an audience of one. They had to reassure Ashley that the loan was being repaid as they were 72 hours away from administration.

As we would expect from a glib and shameless liar, he used the ultimatum as an opportunity to impress the most gullible shareholders in the world that the board were reclaiming their heritage. However, in the accounts, there was no provision whatsoever for this repayment. They evidently did not inform their auditors of this inordinately significant transaction. Had they done so the going concern deficit would have been £7.5m.

King repeated the Green mantra that we were the best run club in world football as we had no debt, while simultaneously saddling us with £6.5m of additional debt. By this time next year I predict that Rangers will have more debt, £18.5m, than Craig Whyte inherited from David Murray.

This board ran out of options. They could not raise money on AIM or ISDX. No NOMAD was prepared to represent a career criminal. WH Ireland would not allow their good name to be tarnished by association with King. Our career criminal chairman borrowed money to buy his shares as he is flat broke. His hubris led to him spending £50m on litigation including seven instances where he took his lies all the way to South Africa’s equivalent of The Supreme Court. His stupidity and his strongly suspected bribe of a tax official would have resulted in a lengthy prison service in the UK. King even had the audacity to take the deal that he brokered by the alleged bribery to court in the hope that they would accept it. The court threw it out. The official who brokered the deal was suspended and later forced to resign. King does not care whose career he trashes to get his way. He considers himself to be above the law.

King’s control of this board is absolute. He is not a puppet, he is the puppeteer. He has managed to convince wealthy individuals, some of good standing and some of a more dubious provenance, to back him. King has no skin in this game. He could walk away tomorrow and not care a jot.

The benefit to those who have invested is prestige. Rangers are the Scottish equivalent of Leeds United. Should this board put a team on the park that can compete in The Europa Cup, others will step forward to buy them out and live their own dream. I will give you an analogy to highlight how this works as so many who have contributed to this site cannot see the upside for the career criminal and his board. A friend of mine owned a castle. He sold 250 acres of his land to a developer. All he had left was a long driveway and a well maintained castle. He finally decided to sell the castle, offering it to others to live the dream of being a castle owner. However there was no land to survey from its turrets. no horses gamboling in the fields, yet despite this someone from the US bought into this ‘dream.’

This is what Rangers will become, a heavily indebted ‘dream’ for the next wealthy investor who wants to live out his boyhood fantasies. Most men don’t choose to support Rangers. It’s chosen for them at birth. I’m very fortunate that my Rangers friends have the dignity and the respect of their community that King will never have. Not one of them want anything to do with this lying spiv.

The real problem with King is that he is the dream-maker for 50,000 others who are willing to suspend reality in pursuit of their dream. Mark Warburton, on a shoestring budget of £671,000, has created a team that will gain automatic promotion. Today’s game between the only two challengers in an abysmal league will result in one or both of them slipping further behind. Neither of them are good enough to win a Ibrox. Automatic promotion is guaranteed.

Next season is the problem. Two players from Accrington Stanley are not going to elevate this squad to title challengers. Unlike this season, teams will routinely turn up at Ibrox and wipe the floor with us. The dream will turn into a nightmare. Real investment, the kind promised by King, would keep our dreams alive but it’s not coming. It’s just the the latest in a long line of King’s cons, this time with 50,000 marks. We can join the queue of the orphanage and pensioners that he ripped off. Any mark no matter how young or old is a good mark for King.

There won’t be any silverware next season or any time soon. There will be the occasional victory against CFC who have sold all their quality players and replaced them with journeymen, but this won’t prevent them winning their 6th league title in succession. Is laughing at their risible exploits in Europe the dream that King promised us? This is all that this spiv offers us. Seventy-two hours from administration and a few laughs. If this is your dream, you’re welcome to it.
