As a matter of interest, who got abused?

  2. mncelt standing up for Neil Lennon on

3 points very welcome but as I thought at half time, Lenny would be itching to get Brown on and it would upset our shape. A second half to forget, but I will focus on the first 15 mins.

  3. For all we didn’t play as well in the second half we were still going forward and all the play was in our attacking third. United didn’t have a single shot on target in the second half.

Another goal would have sealed it, but we had more than enough to see the game out.

  4. I feel the pain of the Radio Scotland commentary team. Well done the Celtic fans for almost drowning out the commentary at times.

  5. Now the blog will split into two distinct camps – those who saw the game with their own eyes and saw a terrible performance for one hour and call it as they saw it . . . and those who will quickly tell anyone telling the truth that they are hun interlopers.

  6. Over...and...Over on

Big Vic and Kayal played well as did Sammy until near the end where he looked tired, however for me motm was big Danny who won every challenge in the air and looked very comfortable on the ground.

Comfortable 1-0 victory…says as much about DUFC as it does Celtic – a very poor home performance..I’ll take 1-0 every game.

I preferred Sammi on the left…but thought he did well.

    Kayal and Vic were brilliant.

Pity we couldn’t have put a bigger dent in the goal difference as we had the chances to do so..

    3points clean sheet – that’ll do nicely!

  8. patmcgrathtakesapenalty on

Messy second half and too many wasted free kicks and corners, the latter in particular.

  9. Thanks for the updates ghuys, from a very happy, relieved Bhoy in Indonesia. Oiche Mha, ma tha! VBT.

  10. Kayal, who has been hung out to dry by the LL, was absolutely immense today.

The Support were excellent but I cringed at the Merry Ploughboy add on. Leave it out for God sake.

  11. Vital win, we were always vulnerable after the Euro game. Great start but the spark went out as the game progressed and we were almost laboured at the end. Kayal proved to everyone that he is no coward, he was my man of the match by a mile.

P.S. Am I alone in thinking that Big Dan is improving, I thought he did quite well today.

  12. DUSHANBE BILLYBHOY on

My blood pressure is still up. Tells me my body is not happy with 2nd half performance. Bit worried that Broonie’s return will upset team’s balance. Big Vic MOTM by a country mile.

  14. Lads I’ll be honest here the team looked comfortable today and big dan and loovens outstanding and it was wrong to sub big glenda he was rock solid.

But hey yessssssssssssss go on the bhoys in green, Thompson was a joke today.

Another win and another 3 points.

Pity the first half didn’t produce the goals it merited.

    Onwards and upwards.

    Hail hail

Aaahh as I suspected – Hooper taking the Stokes goal competition VERY seriously – did anybody catch his comment ‘I’m still beating him’ on Sky?

    I like that!

  17. the long wait is over on

not a vintage performance – apart from 1st twenty or so but a good three points.

Big Victor looks better every time he plays.

Not entirely convinced by Neil’s substitutions again but all in all a good day.

  18. Joe Filippis Haircut on

A god result for the hoops its good to see we can hold a lead Kayal had a great game big Victor as well and Broonie did fine when he came on. Mind you Dundee Utd are pretty poor but the gap is back 4 points that keeps the pressure on them. H.H

  20. Kayal and Vic superb today.

    Everyone else, fine.

Great three points, and lovely to see Tanner looking nervous.

  21. Been a long time since I’ve seen a team so disinterested – DU looked more downhearted than me when 3 mins was held aloft.

Archetypal stop start refreeing – layered with point blank ignoring fouls or not following play. Poor referee. Luckily DU had less than nothing to offer – and nothing to offer the referee.

Brilliant 3 points – kudos as always to our away fans – loud and proud.

  22. We were pretty poor second half against the worst Dundee United side Ive ever seen.

Points could have been thrown away by lacklustre performances and dodgy touchline decisions.

    Frequently abused on here?

Canny recall, don’t recognise the moniker-never mind the accusation.

    Who are ya,who are ya?

  24. Victor got Sky MOM

For me it was Kayal or Big Dan who was immense

Let’s keep it going until thé 28th. We’ll havé them big time chez nous n’est-ce pas!!

  25. Scrappy performance which ultimately yielded little in the way of opportunity for our lacklustre opponents.

A good 3 points to pick up.

Forrest could have had a hat-trick today, which shows we certainly had chances. Just checked the Beeb stats and it would appear we didn’t have a shot on target in the second half, which is strange, because I’m sure Pernis saved two or three and certainly one in the last minute from Ki.

  26. Big Dan was excellent today, MOTM for me. Big Vic also excellent and close behind Dan for our best performer today.

Cha also very good for his first game back for a while.

Very happy with the 3 points, hope the bhoys enjoy their Xmas night out in London tonight.
