We’re struggling to transition from midfield into the final third. Under Strachan and Lennon we would play direct into the strikers and rely on it sticking on enough occasions, but under Ronny we’re trying to pass through. It’s what the big teams do but our players are either not good enough or they’re just not used to it. We put a huge amount of pressure on our defence when we lose the ball in these areas. We need better movement from our three attacking midfielders.
Almost all of our recent managers have had a poor start to their tenure. Give the guy a bit of time for goodness sake.
the glorious balance sheet on
On the balance of play we did not deserve a draw against the newly promoted Dundee.
Repeatedly ripped apart down the left hand side of defence with ease.
Izaguirre could have been set off on 2 occasions and there would have been no cause for complaint whatsoever.
Johansen continually dispossessed throughout the game and we had nothing at all up front.
Berget – why was he signed?
Only positives for me – Craig Gordon was excellent again and young O`Connell was was very calm throughout despite having been thrown into the deep end while others such as Izzy were imploding.
One goal scored, thanks to a deflection, in 6 hours of football v Dundee, Maribor and Inverness.
Solutions to our problems will not easily be found when the powers that be still kid themselves on that we are “one of the best run clubs in Europe, if not the world.”
yeah, no doubt about it, the players are mostly to blame. It’s obvious to everyone, basically they’ve got the hump for some reason. Bring back the days when our players played for Celtic and not themselves( which most are not doing either by the way).
Poor stuff all round.

Another dire performance from unrecognisable Celtic against the promoted side with only anonymity for those, that weren’t rank. Strange team selection compounded by strange substitutions, with regular players completely out of sorts.
Shut your face we did well to draw and might hang on to the star centre back, according to the ‘fantasists’.

This is NOT going to work. We cannot get rid of the players so the manager has to go. It’s that simple.

When that result gets texted through to DD on the golf course ,I hope it disnae make him miss his putt. That would be awful.
Oh great. A whole 10 days of ripping each other apart on Celtic forums.

Does John Collins actually do anything? Or does he think he’s in a queue for the barbers?

Just biding his time until Ronny gets the chop and he’ll take over for the second half of the season while we search high and low for the perfect candidate…..which will turn out to be John Collins.
Really, really depressing stuff today.
79caps on
I feel sorry for Ronny, he thought he was coming to a club with CL players and finds a lot of sub-standard players, Izzy and Efe in need of a break, and a Kris Commons who has lost his mojo and is now a passenger.
Apart from Broonie, we need a target man – will the Serb sign? – and James F. and the African bhoy on the flanks.

Absolutely shocking display today…we always struggle after a euro game today but that was hitting new lows…
The team looks bereft of confidence
Kayal and Johansen need a midfielder that holds his position to play around as they are headless chickens at times…I’m even missing Broonie as a central midfielder!
Deila shows faith in Commons and Commons has his worst game for a long time…hmmm
Deila will be alright if the board back him….Keep the faith Ronnie!

Too many changes over these past few weeks.
No balance in the team and no discipline in the team structure.
Play is too often too slow
Ambrose and Izzi are in the poorest form of their time at Celtic and need a rest
Biggest difference though is that Commons is just off the pace, very little happening for him all season.

James McPake looks like he is proud to be adorning those Hoops :)
James McPake wearing a Celtic tap….see things could be worse!
;-)
Even considering the poor financial backing RD has received, some of his decisions are utterly baffling…
Big Wavy
First priority is a settled team which you get by playing same players in same positions.
Not sure what part injuries are playing but that was nothing like our first choice.
Even then we have no first choice CF.
To allow that is bad football judgement.
BIG WAVY. 1425
What positives are you drawing from today?
And why do you think that those who are criticising are wrong to do so?
If Craig Gordon gets injured, we’re in trouble.

Negano n,
You are obsessed with Rangers and victimhood.
So what’s up folks?
Short memories eh?
A week ago we lost to ICT. I was on here raging and I was ridiculed.
It’s only the league.
We’re already guaranteed to win it.
Defeat in the league doesn’t matter.
So now we draw away to Dundee and it’s uproar on CQN.
Make yer bliddy minds up.
