Serious questions need to be asked about how you can form a pattern of play with so many different players.
Then there is the pattern. Play it across the defense until the right time comes to make a bad forward pass and put yourself on the back foot. If that’s the pattern it’s a jumper no for wearing
I could accept that level from EK Dynamo.
In fact watched a more enjoyable game yesterday because when a lad miskicked a ball or failed to control it I know he is playing for fun and could let my frustration go, but the standard of performance, particularly Commons, whom I like, is unacceptable.
At least with Tini you know he might lose the ball after catch it between both feet and flicking it over his and two opponents heads instead of just holding it up in the corner in the last minute with a 1-0 lead and down to 10 men, but as he explained “I just fancied trying it Da”. However these guys at Celtic are getting paid good money to control a ball.

If this same standard continues you soon will be. I do not want him sacked. I want him to turn us into what he keeps saying. He has had time enough now, 2 months to impress his philosophy and tactics on the squad and they are not working. Pressure from fans and results will dictate when and if he gets the sack. I hope he turns it around but I feel I am being realistic as are others in stating he out of his depth. I hope I and the rest are completely wrong. Time will tell.

Mcgregor – missing
Berget – send back
Commons – very poor

Auldheid,
You posted earlier that you think my analysis of our European failures over the last 10 years could be explained away as being due to the natural transitional period that follows the appointment of a new manager.
Now while I think that could be a partial factor in what happened in 2005 I do not think that this at all explains the story in subsequent years. In 2010 our “new manager” Neil Lennon was not such a new manager having been caretaker manager since March 2010 and having been on the coaching staff since 2008. He had been in and around the club and knew the players at his disposal and what was needed to make improvements.
The real issue was around the timing of the arrival of these new players with players going in and out between and after the Braga and Utrecht games the same as we have seen this season with the Legia and Maribor games.
2011 and Sion – how can that be down to a transitional period when the manager is in the post for well over a year and the team at that point has been settled for a year?
2013 – Karagandy: again I don`t see how this can be put down to a transitional period coming in the third year into Neil Lennon`s tenure.
In any case we should be better managing the transition from one manager to another. We are told that it is right that the manager shouldn`t have the sole or ultimate say on who is signed as any new manager has to work with these players after they leave. This explains why we sign players that the manager hasn`t watched in the flesh on the recommendation of John Park.
The stats don`t lie – since 2005, Celtic have attempted European qualifiers on 9 occasions losing on 6 of these attempts, 4 of which were to lower ranked teams.
We fail more often than we succeed on this stage.
I really do not think that we have been as well managed over these last ten years as PL would have us believe and the first step to improving things is for the powers that be at Celtic to accept that there is a problem that needs fixed.

I’m too disgusted to say very much other than there WAS one positive today. We got a point. It could have been much worse. If Celtic allow Virgil van Dyke to leave tomorrow, I will be very, very unhappy.
Denayer looks a player but not as a centre half, think in front of the back 4, a edgar davids type player.
Midfield is a disaster at present and no centre forward tae hold up ball.
These a trying times.

Armstrong is a no brainer…
As I said from last mid season Armstrong is a future Celtic captain. I also said buy Robertson now. We didn’t (apparently not our class or evidently better than Izzy!!!!) which was very stupid.
So we maybe go to DU but they now don’t NEED to sell. They are quids in and have evidence that other clubs will give them lots of dough. Reputationally DU are in a good place re developing players.
Equally Armstrong can look at his erstwell team mates Gauld & Robertson and see the dosh they’re getting.
As all too often Celtic get their timing all wrong.
We’ll be lucky to get Armstrong and if we do we’ll pay over the odds.
I’ll be happy if he signs though but not hopeful.
In any event if we don’t get an out and out strong striker it will be irrelevant!!!!

Latest from Spanish media about Scepovic’s move to Celtic.
Playing hardball if true ..
Scepovic postpones his move to Celtic
The outcome of the summer ‘ soap opera ‘ will have to wait at least one more day. Scepovic has decided to postpone until tomorrow a move to Celtic . The Sporting striker and scotch club agree negotiated economic terms , but the Serbian striker postpones signing his contract with the possibility that you get a better deal .
The striker spent yesterday in Madrid medical. It was the final step towards Stefan Scepovic signing the contract with Catholic team Glasgow. The more complicated above steps were already taken : Sporting and Celtic agreed ( Atletico receive 2.5 million for the transfer , plus 5% on a future sale of the player) ; Serbian agreed to the bid submitted by the Scots and already had a visa to play in the Scottish Premier League, only missing a medical examination , which finally happened yesterday successfully in a Madrid clinic .
However, the Serbian has decided to postpone the signing of his new contract . The Serbian is given until tomorrow , when the transfer market closes, to seal their commitment to Glasgow. Stefan wants to exhaust the term with the possibility that in the next few hours can reach out an offer that improves Celtic .
Besides the set Betis also showed interest in PSV Eindhoven Serbian , German Eintracht ( who came to offer 1.5 million), Twente and Werder Bremen . In the last hours some Spanish club have also asked about the front , but interest remained just that , words.
Given this scenario, Scepovic has preferred to wait 48 hours to proceed with the signing of his contract. If he does not get a better offer , the Serbian will Celtic player tomorrow

embramike – just read your post, thanks.
I was logged in to ask why Scepovic’s signing had been delayed and your post’s just above mt “square”.
Is the delay another smokescreen so he can sign for PSG if they ask? – heard that he wanted to if they reached the EL group stages.
Anyone – what’s happened with Marcus Fraser? Thought he was supposed to be the best young CB – better than “Owen” O’Connell and would come through with Fisher, Henderson, Mcgregor and George.
What’s the situation with Fisher? – we need another RB as a direct replacement for Lustig if Adam keeps breaking down and poor Efe isn’t up to it.
What’s happened to Findlay and Watters? – same scenario for Izzy as I think Chaz will be off or punted –
So many questions ,but answer’s appreciated.
