Going one better next season

943

We had a special night at the Celtic Supporters’ Association’s 67th Annual Rally last night.  It was great to see our two treble winning captains: Tom Boyd giving praise to the giant of the European game, Billy McNeill.

I had a chat with Scott Brown, who received his Association Player of the Year award.  A day before he collects his fourth consecutive league championship trophy you’d think he would afford a moment of satisfaction, but he’s not happy this isn’t a treble winning season.  The events at Hampden last month have left an open wound.  All he could talk about was going one better next season.

Before you leave for the game tomorrow remember to bring along some change to buy a Ronny Roar badge to raise funds for the work of your Foundation.  See you there.

Did they same men responsible for the breakaway SPL2 document pass criminal glib and shameless liar King as a fit and proper person?

  2. Morrissey…,

Today is for celebrating the team and support we’ve got the rest of the year to have our say, no ?

On that point my pre-party must end now. I’ve been awake for most part of three days and need to be awake in two and a half hours. I’ll sleep tomorrow. HH

Just seen the news from Ireland. Well done the people of Ireland for breaking down another unbreakable wall.

This clears the way for myself and long time secret lover Henrik Larsson to get married in county Cork.

Snorted ma bourbon barrel aged Scotch ale over ma iPad when I read this wan. Pure delicious it is, a rare 14.8% alcohol content and I’m supping it like a hun blowing his pay packet on Buckfast.

That’s what winning the league does.

I know its hard to believe but I have my moments

    ————

Why would it be hard for anyone to believe?

I’ve watched and read your posts over the years.

You’re a battering ram, with little time for bollix.

Why worry what anyone else thinks?

If that were the case, Turnbull Hutton would have kept his gob shut.

You’re very similar to Auldheid in this respect, whereas Auldheid is the good cop.

Dugs wi a bone, the both of you.

And I mean that as a compliment.

  13. Res12 got wrote

    Campaign started

Support got stuck on about 70 or 80

Morissey brought in legwork and romped the numbers

Res12 got a cold reception from the board

    Met Celtic board reps

Seen they’d raised the issue and were dismissed

Shared our info and let them think about it

Res got further than any in our history, not voted down

Met with club rep to discuss way forward

    Rep played devils advocate

Wore him down and was encouraged to continue

Went to a top tax advice specialist and told there’s a case to answer

Went to a top advocate and told there’s a case to answer

Asked the advocate to represent us and found out it could get him in serious trouble

Been looking for the right kind of rep since we can trust, and does not have conflicting interests which is the biggest problem with the amount of football related legal issues going on the moment

    There you have it

  14. SDB,

Auldheid and BRTH are the diplomatic corps :)

But even they sometimes get sick of the sniping.

Would hiring a brief from one of the other European countries not work?

Under the umbrella of European law he could represent the case, but not be at risk for his “local” reputation.

If that were the case I’m sure there are a number of St. Pauli supporting high heids based in the Riepersbahn that would be champing at the bit to have a go at this one.

Under the circumstances online crowd funding would be a shoe in.

  16. The last two requirements are where BRTH shines even brighter, his tenacity is astounding his reporting is a nightmare :)

It’s a very specialist niche we are looking for and sourcing is in the right hands, just needs the time to do his thang which frustrates all of us including BRTH I’ve no doubt.

I am poor at handling frustration and ignorance it’s a paranoia thing.

  22. I hesitate to comment further. I’m separated from the front lines for now.

You do have my unequivocal support, however.

Being an Ayrshire Tim, having attended primary school in Dalrymple (yes, Dalrymple), I know what it takes to stand up to the foosty sash shower.

I trust you all to eventually score one for not only the Tims, but Scottish Football as a whole.

As sure as the huns are dead, so too one day will be the corrupt “committees”.

Good stuff you have a great day, I couldn’t sleep last night as if I was playing today, only up at this time as its holiday weekend and my daughter has this knack of not getting out her kip when she is at school but up at 6.30am when she is off, anyway the Sun is breaking through here in ML5 would it be asking too much for Father Kane to do the Ronny Roar at 10am mass here in the Brig ?

  25. SDB,

    Cheers

However I’m in Abu Dhabi and they don’t have many marches here, a bigger point and something we’ve been trying to get across is that this is not about sevco or rangers it’s about the SFA and the fact they cheated Celtic shareholders out of money and the team out of the opportunity to compete in Europe, they are the only target, agreed the stupid huns won’t or will refuse to accept that, it’s to be expected stupid is what stupid does.
