Great times for Celtic

822

It’s always encouraging to read positive comment on your club, so the positivity from a sports brand consultant at Brand Finance was welcome.  Apparently we are something of a commercial miracle, reaching parts no one else from a small country can come close to.

It’s also delightful hearing about glamour preseason friendlies (not quite announced yet, but coming).  We are a club with more than just history, we have a team the best in the world want to play.  We also have a future.

We have the league championship trophy in the boardroom, Champions League qualifiers to look forward to, and the sun is shining on Glasgow!

These are great times for Celtic.

Pat Nevin is a USA fan.

They play more anti-football than any of the other top sides.

I don’t enjoy watching the US. No feel for the game.

    A small fotune,you say?

I know very little about these things,so what would be your best guess-timate?

Got to be honest,I haven’t done my bit in that regard. It’s my birthday soon,so I will. Hopefully that will remind me annually.

Miller is completely isolated up front. It’s hot and humid and he looks knackered already. He has stopped chasing. Brown looks hot and bothered. Why don’t we wear lightweight white shirts in these conditions?

It is profoundly depressing watching Scotland in away games. Bannen and Maloney look like dwarves. We have no physical presence, no first touch, no speed, not one single player of any class. This is an experimental USA team, and it’s a procession towards McGregor’s goal. It will be a very pleasant surprise if we are not out of the running in our World Cup qualifying group after three games. Donovan reacted far faster than four Scots to a lose ball, and Bradley, who signed as a professional from a University team scores a screamer that we can only dream about.

    May 29,1949,

Belfast Celtic 2-0 Scotland.Campbell with both goals.Has a club team ever beaten an international side apart from this game?

  7. Bocanegra is a typical hun coward.

Still no evidence of shape or tactics in Scotland’s approach.

Celtic beat China 6-1 in 1979.

We just do not have an answer to Donovan. Just went through us like a knife through butter and hit the post.

Think there’s a massive difference fae Belfast Celtic and they beat them in the USA.Scotland thought it would have been a training session and vowed never to play a club side again.

I’ve been busy all day and am just catching up.

Barca’s post from RTC sounds like the trailer for a blockbuster….we’ve all felt there was a deeper vein of mendacity running through the Thug F.C. debacle.

I’ve been calling them organised criminals for years. Nobody has ever denied that assertion; so, if it proves to be accurate then my thinking is vindicated and I can regard my paranoia as delusional……that still doesn’t work.

I guess I’m just another ‘internet bampot’.

    HH!

    : ))

Well, it was inevitable. We are dire. Two subs on for us and 60 secs later Donovan scores again.

  13. Mulgrew looks lost in this team and I use that word lightly

    Scottish defense seem baffled.

Any team that makes Edu look decent is crap.

Time for Scotland to ditch Levein and get a proper coach

  14. Snake Plissken on

Levein should get the sack for this.

Absolute joke to lose to the USA like this.

    Zero fight and zero skill

  15. He probably didn’t expect Whittacker to pass the ball to Donavan inside the Scottish box!!
