Greenock, Argyle St and what Celtic Movement is all about

949

We are only two days away from the 9 in a row CQN Open, which again takes place at Aberdour Golf Club in Fife.  This year our guest of honour is Lisbon Lion, Willie Wallace.  We have already raised over £2000 from a shirt auction and raffle (thank you very much to all who participated) but we have a quick opportunity for you to win a signed Celtic strip in a raffle, ending on Saturday.

Tickets cost £1, if you can afford £1, get involved here.  Proceeds go towards 1254125, which is a crucial part of orientating the Celtic Movement in the direction of our founding fathers.

Willie Wallace will be at the Celtic Store, Argyle St, for late night shopping, from 5.30-7.30 pm tomorrow (Thursday) night.  Where you can buy a signed copy of his book and have a chat with the man himself.  Bring a camera.

Immediately after leaving the Celtic Store tomorrow Willie and Brogan Rogan (and a pile of books) are heading to the Greenock Celtic Supporters’ Club for a CQN Question and Answer evening.  Entry costs £2 (all of which is going to our charity causes).  DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!!

I know many of you have read Brogan Rogan but if you’ve not seen him and Willie Wallace in action, get along tomorrow, it will be another classic Celtic night.  Tickets are available at the door.

Thanks to everyone who helped organise all of these events, more on that later.

    Keep the Faith !”

Just a joke about the perceived Renfrewshire rivalry between Greenock and Paisley. Not upset about anything or anywhere…..well, apart from Paisley, that is@

Yes movement towards a pyramid system with meritocracy can only be good for Scottish football, with added benefit of Longmuir and Ballantyne nooo happy

If amido baldie had been pictured in a celtic onesie instead of waving a scarf and kissing the badge we’d have known for sure he was signing.

You have to be celtic daft and off yer rocker to walk about dressed like that, believe me.

Che, gallogate growlers……………………………….dearie me, I’m not sure I understand or like the sound of that?

Would that mean that u hail from this general area then as don’t know any Celtic fans who have any time for paisley , especially the ones that live in it sir .

Does anyone have any info about what may or may not be happenung with Amido Balde ??

    Keep the Faith !

  14. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

Roger Daltrey played no little part in deserved global success of excellent CQNer Leo Sayer.

  15. buick makane on

This Brentford game coming up does anyone know if its a game to get the first team up to speed for the important champions league qualifiers or will it be a Celtic xi?

  16. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

Big gap between the top two and third in the second division. Wonder why that might be…..?

  17. Re the ASA ruling and what newco said about it.

Their official response to the ASA ruling is here:

    http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/4100-scotlands-most-successful-club

So the ASA have relied on submissions provided by them from

    1. Panel of the London Stock Exchange

    2. European Club Association (ECA) and

    3. Lord Nimmo Smith himself!

Now not even Lord Nimmo Smith would go along with the CAPITAL C in that gloating release. His intangible definition of what a club is certainly doesn’t work for the “Club”.

Re ECA – They are listed merely as an Associate Member, whereas Oldco Rangers were an Ordinary Member. Why the change? We thought we would ask the ECA to speak to us about the opinion that they gave to newco that they are indeed the same club and to check with them if such advice was cleared with or consistent with UEFA’s stance on the matter. UEFA make the rules not ECA.

Onto the “panel at the London Stock Exchange” – again we have been in contact with them to ask about whether this is the same “Club” and also to ask what happens to the investors if the new business goes the same way – will the “Club” survive again and what will the institutional investors make of that?

Didn’t see much point in trying to reach LNS for his view on the matter.

    Let’s see what happens.

Re the ASA “verdict”, anyone know what the company registration numbers of RFC 1872 and TRIFC are? If different, the game’s a bogey (with due deference to Aberdour)?

  20. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

Who would win a fight betwen the Gallowgate Growlers and the 5-Way Agreement?

  21. buick makane

Having bought my tickets, I would hope that there would be at least a few first team players.

It has been a few years since Celtic played down here but in the past (against Fulham, QPR) there was always a pretty strong team. Okay, Brentford is a smaller club but here’s hoping

  22. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

Oldtim, if it comes in a bottle, a can or a bucket I’ll drink it:-)

I just checked my booking and its the cedar inn I’m staying at.

If anyone is looking for a billet for staying over after the golf I’ve got a spare. I booked a twin room thinking my bro was staying but he’s got to get back home Friday night after the sclaffbaw.

  25. LionRoars67, a step in the right direction at least.

The fact that Longmuir and Ballantyne were against it and it went through makes it sweeter.

It also shows what leaders they are!
