LEIGH GRIFFITHS had a wonderful one-word response to a tale doing the rounds that he might be on the move from Celtic.
The fans’ favourite, who is just three goals short of his magical 100 for the Hoops, was reported to be a target for Turkish outfit BB Erzurumspor.
Griffiths’ reaction was swift and to the point when the question was put to him. Was he about to leave the champions?
The 27-year-old Scotland international frontman answered: “Naw!”
Griffiths has already stated he is prepared for the battle with the French double-act of Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard for the main striking position in Brendan Rodgers’ line-up.
He has also gone on record as saying he wants to end his career in the east end of Glasgow and there have been more accurate reports of the player being offered a contract extension in the coming weeks.
