Haksabanovic makes no sense until you look deeper

354

As far as I am concerned, Liel Abada is not getting enough game time.  I understand why Jota is one of the first names on the team sheet and I see the value Daizen Maeda brings, but Celtic seem so much more productive when Adaba is on the field, so talk of Celtic chasing another winger was unexpected.

With James Forrest also in the squad, the wide attacking positions appear fully subscribed.  Jota will play, Abada will continue to develop, Maeda will contribute plenty and Forrest will largely provide cover.  Why then, are we linked to Sead Haksabanovic?

The Swedish-born, Montenegrin international will undoubtedly provide value for whichever club rescues him from his contract at relegated Russian club Rubin Kazan.  Without either Jota and Maeda, you would see the sense, but with both?

The only way this makes sense is if Celtic, three weeks into the season, are already coming under pressure for a prized asset.  Which, itself, actually makes sense.

  1. Must say, I’m loving the huns and minis going through these early mid-week tribulations, while we wait to take advantage.

  3. Jamesie for me is the winger last in the pecking order and therefore most likely to be given his taxi fare. The lad (well compared to me) must be fed up picking skelfs from his gluteus Maximus each week. He must feel that he still has something to give to the game, even at Fleetwood.

Maybe Broonie has told him it’s just like Saltcoats.

    Go tell

Jota hasn’t played any games this season so the three club thing wouldn’t apply.

I think signing the guy would let mikey go out on loan and also indicate a bit of succession planning for season 23-24 when Jota might be for the off.

I think Paul’s article is a good one to generate posts that have been Celtic related but I don’t see it as a hint that a big player is for the off. Of course this is just speculation on my part.

  6. Jota didn’t have to sign for us. If there was any tapping up going on he could have messed about and we would have got neither the player nor a fee. Only a truly insane offer would move him.

When the “SOCIALIST CONSORTIUM” (or whatever they’ll be called) led by MICK LYNCH, EDDIE DEMPSEY, JEREMY CORBYN, CHRIS WILLIAMSON, GEORGE GALLOWAY, and tons of other good willing folk, when they compute their message to a public that will be on its knees, amongst a mountain of work that will need to be done after 12 years of brutal TORY, LIBDEMS, SNP/GREENS, unacceptable raping and pillaging of the entire countries assets, then playing wee dafty games, and making wee stupid “IT WIZNY US THAT DID IT” bs excuses.

Then the 99% will rise and either STRIKE these frauds out of office, or bad things will happen.

And according to MICK LYNCH in Scotland 2 nights ago, the RISING must happen IMMEDIATELY!

MICK LYNCH said if we don’t RISE IMMEDIATELY then the new Tory leader will rush in the laws to make industrial action illegal, and the online safety bill will bring in a 1984-esque society.

So time is of the essence.

    My prediction.

By hook or by crook, the “SOCIALIST CONSORTIUM” will be the new government.

That might include Britain breaking away from an EU that is practically a basket case because it allowed itself to be used as a USA puppet against Russia, which was daft when 85% of the world has got Russia`s back??

So, if Britain breaks away from EU basket case in the most sensible fashion, by NO DEAL BREXIT, then EU basket case might reply by banning British football teams out of European tournaments, in which case, CARPE DIEM 63, your wish might come true in the form of a British football league??

    Hopefully.

    IMHO

Nothing to see here …. yet.

I trust Ange Postecoglou’s capacity, capability and control to manage the squad.

I was taken by an earlier post re JF.

I suspect (but have no evidence) that Ange wants two front threes that deliver with no performance deterioration.

    Maeda, Jota, Kyogo

    Abada, Giakoumakis, whatshisname

Guys who nearly did well last year still have a role to play in the squad – but their pathway to first team minutes will, logically, get more difficult as we upgrade?

Ange ball, was found out by GvB in last April’s SCSF when the Huns defeated of us.

GvB, parked the bus, his players threw their weight about, backed by mibbery since 1888, and the Huns blocked off all of the channels that Celtic’s pacey players run into.

In effect, from minute one1 till minute 96, Celtic players carried out the same futile game plan, and Ange stood at the side of the pitch watching on, offering zero inspiration.

Conclusion – Not a good look.

  16. We are in a situation where we don’t need to sell anyone to balance the books.

We have already warned the Stock Exchange that we are in a far better situation than originally forecast.

We have a £40 million pound bounty being parceled up for us.

We have an Antipodean tour which will add £10 million to the biscuit tin.

As a result of our judicious transfer contracts we may have anther £10 million spondoolies lined up, revenue which has zero cost attached to it.

So why should we need to sell a prized asset? An asset whose value will only increase with CL exposure and a successful SPFL win?

So any sale will be of players surplus to requirements.

    Back to basics

That is as it should be. Players need to up their game to stay in the team as the quality of the first eleven improves.

David Turnbull is a good example. From a first pick and player of the year in 20-21 to fourth or fifth pick for a slot this season. Not a criticism of David, but an indicator of a greater number of quality players in midfield.

  18. Has a player ever been bought and sold in the same window ?

    2020–2021 → Swansea City (loan) 5 (1)

Hi PETEC hope all is good with you and yours.

Yeah, also in the north of England the majority of `poor` people voted for Brexit, and a huge number of these folk voted Tory in 2019 GE to `GET BREXIT DONE` because KEIR STARMER had made a Labour Party led by, JEREMY CORBYN, untrustworthy.

NO DEAL BREXIT has to be the way ahead, if MICK LYNCH etc, etc, are steering the ship.

Tory, Labour, Libdems, SNP, Greens, cannot and must not be trusted.

In `normal` times if you go to a graveyard, take a look around for a wee bit and maybe you’ll see 2 – 3 freshly dug graves in `normal` times.

Well, a bloke and his Mrs were driving their car through a graveyard the other day, in Birmingham I think, and the bloke driving, Mrs holding her phone filming the unbelievable scenes of “192” newly dug graves? wtf?

The guy said to his Mrs “THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD SEE IF A WAR WAS GOING ON!”

MICK LYNCH, EDDIE DEMPSEY, CHRIS WILLIAMSON, JEREMY CORBYN, and, GEORGE GALLOWAY, are perfectly aware that there is “A WAR GOING ON” against us, being waged in the background by the same `darkness` that these good men have been fighting against ALL OF THEIR LIVES, that gives me hope.

A classic forum term for flooding a thread with worthless or annoying posts, either because you’re bad at posting or because you do it on purpose to troll. The alt-right uses shitposting as a derailing tactic, kind of like a digital filibuster. The term is used flexibly to sometimes just describe any kind of online posting: tweets, memes, etc.”
