Hi if anyone knows how to contact John Hamilton who was out in Lisbon last year can you get him to contact me by e-mail?

  2. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Gordon64, Tynecastle was my least favourite away trip despite us having some great wins there , the 5 1 game in 1984 was the most enjoyable.

From the supporters’ buses being parked miles away from the ground, to very rarely getting into a pub around there for a pre match drink and their nasty fan base. , it was a place I rarely felt comfortable in.

There and Easter Road are the two grounds I had the most hassle at. I was in the terracing across from the main stand at Easter Road at a League Cup section game in 1981. We had to get out of there for our lives after we took the lead .

My sis said that Anne Budge had a lovely blue and white outfit on today. It contrasted with my sister’s emerald green dress in Hearts hospitality lounge. Budge is Eastern Star. Embra Speculative Society. Wee ugly hun wumman.

  4. Could someone explain to Levein that fitba is not a linear game. His gripe re disallowed diet huns’ ‘goal’ would’ve made it 2-0 is wrong cos score was 0-0 at the time. ‘Goal’ scored from corner that resulted from a blatant push on Lustig. Lafferty’s goal direct result of yet another foul by Naismith. Being Eburg-based so glad we pumped them.

    Hail! Hail!

Delaney’s , sectarian attitudes are a West coast issue of course.

There was a Hearts fan in front of me in the ticket queue at Central today about the back of four today. He bought a one way ticket to Wemyss Bay, I was hoping he was not going to throw himself of pier at Wemyss Bay as he had had enough of his team’s anti football manager.

Hearts are an anti fitba, Walter Smith type fitba team. They would get fitba stopped. Levein is a fud in the WS mould.

  7. Hunderbirds are Gone on

I thought our more direct approach to getting out of defensive areas that we showed today, and especially against the proper huns last week, works well against Scottish teams. We don’t invite so much pressure on to ourselves, and it makes better use of Moussa and Eddie’s pace and power when we are attacking.

However, (I knew it was coming- ed) if we want to make a better fist of things in Europe I think we have to persevere with retaining possession and building from the back. I think Brendan has finally admitted defeat on this, in that we just don’t have the players at the back who are confident/good enough to execute passing our way through a high press.

Hopefully the temporary abandonment of the possession game means that new blood will be introduced into the defence this summer, and we can try again.

Others have said this, but I hope we retain the more direct ball out of defence, on occasion. Just to mix it up a bit, and stop teams pressing so hard and so high, when we are playing out from the back. Put a bit of doubt in the oppositions heads.

I’m in Edinburgo myself and there’s nothing nicer than seeing their faces tripping them after we’ve pumped them. Levein is an arrogant arsehole – he seems to think he’s something special. I can’t fathom where he gets his attitude from. He’s achieved the square root of eff all.

Agree re: Johnny Marr – lovely melodic players. The tunes are deceptive – very tricky to play.

Clash’s best album is greater than any single Jam album, but Paul Weller’s oeuvre is better than that of the members of the Clash

Johnny Marr is a guitar genius. Listen to his work on How Soon Is Now. John Squire and Noel Gallagher are heavily influenced by Johnny Marr. There is a light, and it never goes out.

Yeah love that sound – heavy tremolo and then the slide down on an open-tuned overdub. Lovely!

One I love listening to him play is Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others – great intricate picking

Combat Rock and Sandinista are my favourite albums by The Clash. Mick Jones with Big Audio Dynamite and Joe and his Mescaleros were magic too. I love Paul Weller but Joe Strummer was better.

As some have said, KevJ May get no pleasure from watching Celtic (personally, I don’t think that is the case) , and/or, as has also been said, he may be a hun (again, I don’t believe that is the case) … but who cares?

He is right about most (certainly not all) of what he says …

Although I do wish that, just once in a while, and just to change things up a bit, he would try a different style of writing … how about it, KevJ? Maybe a haiku next time?

  19. Great comments on guitar players—-but a musicologist from NME or suchlike remarked to Jimi Hendrix. “How does it feel to be the best guitar player in the world?”. Hendrix replied “Have you heard Rory Gallagher?. My own favourites are Wes Montgomery for Jazz, Tommy Emmanuel for nearly everything else, and Glenn Campbell for country.

Delaney’s , Levein is a legned for doing hee haw in football. From his ridiculous claim of Webster being elbowed off the ball by John Hartson circa 2003 /04 which Martin O’Neill made Levein look an rsole to his outburst about Broonie , shieeef what an insignificance he is

Sandinista had moments of sheer brilliance … but a lot of filler … how I felt about most Clash albums (except London Calling, which was mostly brilliant, with moments of filler).

And I loved some BAD … mick Jones, and the style of don let’s… but I just preferred the jazz leanings of the Style Council to the Dub influences of Bad

Love guitarists who push the boundaries.

Jimi Hendrix . Davy Graham. My favourite electric and acoustic players for that reason.

I met Mick Jones after a BAD gig in Derby. He sought me out because I was wearing the Celtic hoops and I was with my gorgeous girlfriend Kate. He charmed us with his knowledge of Celtic and Irish Politics. Mick Jones is my favourite fenian rocker. Bobby Gillespie and Sharleen Spiteri go to all our games though. Love seeing them both most games.

I think we would agree that Ms Spiteri was, by far, cuter than The Jam or the Clash.. I always thought she was lovely.
