    Big Mark McGhee would have won the same one horse race that RD did, if big Mark McGhee had been given the keys of the Celtic dug oot, and, big Mark McGhee wouldn’t have let the cops and Thompson the MiB, enter the Celtic dressing room at half time during an “Old Firm” LCSF with us winning 2-0, to be told that if the score reached 3-0, the huns were ready to cause civil unrest, so, RD agreed with the cops and Thompson the MiB that, the second half of the game had to be “managed” and it was, it was “managed” to the extent that, RD’s Celtic team took to the pitch for the 2nd half and, the MiB stopped the game every time that the ball moved ten yards and, we couldn’t muster a shoot at goals against a Sevco / Rangers team who were two divisions below us!

    What others tunnels are being dug ?

     

    And, worse, much worse,….who are the £49 dafties, that are paying the diggers of the tunnels ?

    I get your message. I agree with more of your thoughts than I disagree with. I know you are a frustrated Celtic man. I do not know where you are coming from wi Mark McGhee though. The next Celtic manager after BR will be Scott Brown. He will be one of our best like Jock Stein.

    Johnny McElhone , Sharleen’s fellow song writer in Texas , is another big Celtic supporter . I’ve saw him and his brother , Gerry , going into Celtic Park.

     

     

    Another good day for us standing up that Georgie mob and getting a great win. If we had not won today , it would have been the first time I can think of we never won away in Edinburgh during a season

    Cheers for the hard work that makes lazy punters like me take an interest in the charity aspect, the two of you are a total credit and proof of the monster that P67 created (many happy returns Mr B) as per usual I try to have a wee sabbatical fae Cqn not read a post since last Monday,,, logged on the day kidding on the game didn’t matter, Broony magic, the haters canny lace the Bhoys boots or even kick him properly, best of luck to the last standers especially the 5 out of 7 that havny picked the Sevs (yet) as for the two that have you have another chance next Sunday :-)

    Another masterly display,despite some “unusual” standards applied by the referee. To be fair,his only fault was to initially revel in the kicking being handed out. By the time the severity of it hit him,things had progressed from ABH to Attempted Murder!!!

     

     

    The blame lies solely with the Hearts players and management. That was a disgrace. The Compliance Officer shouldn’t just be looking at one or two incidents in isolation,he could do with reviewing the entire first half.

    Wonder if saintly Anne Budge will have anything to say about that?

     

     

    Hearts are so typically “Edinburgh”. Nice stadium, nice softly spoken manager, and little-old-lady chairperson.

     

     

    But underneath, the club is a foaming mass of sub-Sevco bigots and weirdos.

    Since Leveine’s call to arms against Broonie there have been at least 4 serious assaults on our midfield enforcer. We should have called it out at the time as its obvious that the SPFL, the PFA and to a large extent the media, are all happy to accept out players being systematically targeted.

    All of this is a direct result of the comments made by Craig Levein against Scott Brown a few weeks back. Levein’s players (and the players of other clubs) know that they have permission to make the kinds of assaults seen at the weekend without repercussion. If the SFA had any balls they’d be banning at least one of those Hearts players for a lengthy period.

     

     

    Additionally, the officials (how many of them do we have now??!) are culpable for not dealing with these matters at the time. The first assault (Naismith?) was a straight red. If the referee can’t see that he should be sacked.

     

     

    On a more general point, some of the challenges received by other Celtic players this season should have seen a number of red cards handed out. It’s been mentioned on here many times that someone is liable to get a career threatening injury if this continues.

    I couldn’t agree more,especially re your closing sentence.

     

     

    My point really was that Hearts started the game in a similar fashion to many teams we have faced this season-kicking and snarling their way through the early exchanges,knowing the ref is unlikely to punish them early.

     

     

    Difference being,they were nastier than most,and with no intentions of letting up.

    What we are actually seeing on here is the “Kevbot” – a fiendishly clever piece of Artificial Intelligence that regularly posts sentences randomly constructed from well known phrases such as “Mark McGhee”, “£49 for a ticket”, “tiles stripped today”, “compliant manager” etc.

    Morning all. Still cool and cloudy here.

     

     

    Thank goodness our manager has called out Naismith for his “challenge” on our captain. Despicable doesn’t begin to cover it.

     

     

    Imo, it has been open season for much of this season for inflicting serious damage on our players, especially Scott Brown and Kieran Tierney. The MIBs have offered no protection to them.

     

     

    Besides the opposition “players” having catre blanche to do their worst, no action seems to have been taken when the “fans” join in, like invading the pitch to attack our captain or deliberately throwing the ball at our players when it goes out of play.

     

     

    The pundits were defending Hearts right to keep the grass high because we have better players . If that is supposed to be literally a level playing field, then hacking is certainly not a valid tactic.

    Sharleen Spiteri. Lives with a man. Has had children. On tv a few months ago talking about him and her support for Arsenal. Never liked her music or particularly fancied her.

     

     

    Saw highlights of yesterday’s game- if anything worse reffed than I originally thought at it. Not shown on highlights but their no 66 (Adao) should have walked too.

     

     

    Still it would all be better with Big Mark McGhee

    Incidentally, I know supporters who paid the £49 for Grayskull.

     

     

    And they are certainly no dafties. They have numerous ologies to prove it.

     

     

    If they are happy to pay this exorbitant amount and they get enjoyment from watching their team continually hunskelping ; then who is in a self righteous position to demonise them.

    Anyone else think that Brendan’s comments about the grass yesterday and the necessity of changing how we played was strike one in putting Gerrard in his place? We’ve played on worse pitches than that and stuck to the passing game. Why say it yesterday?

     

     

    What style will SG want to play? What will his set up be? He’s coming to a league he doesn’t know to stadia he’s never played in or been to. He’s never played down the leagues or coached anywhere without pristine pitches. He’s now got another dilemma – will whatever his ‘philosophy’ or style is work in Scotland?

     

     

    Brendan is a smart cookie. Stevie is coming to Scotland to get schooled. I can’t help thinking he’d have had an easier time applying for a coaching role at Celtic in order to learn from Brendan

    Another thing we’ve learned this season is that players coming up from big English teams are not necessarily going to cut it up here.

     

     

    Even the really good ones like Paddy Roberts are not assured a game in a Celtic side. Most of our best players this season have been Scottish. Broonie, cal Mac, KT, Forrest and the other best performers have been French. To be fair to Paddy he’s been injured and he was great yesterday when he came on.

     

     

    The guys named are all experienced pros now, young as most of them are. They’ve won honours, they’ve played CL qualifiers and groups, all internationals. The prospect of Liverpool reserves coming up and doing anything of significance is slim.

     

     

    The hard facts for the rest of the pack in Scotland are that Celtic have dropped more points this season than they are likely to do again and there is still clear daylight between us and them. Hibs aside we’ve swept the floor with the other teams comepetingvfor second.

    KevJ, hope you are well. I take it that you were in the dressing room at half-time in that Scottish Cup semi-final, so all information posted here is indeed fact? Keep fighting the good fight, but variety is the spice of life (c. MIT). I’m sure many of us share your frustration, however there is perhaps a danger of repetitive strain injury. Have a great day.
