Not the prettiest…shite pitch shite weather and a SHITE ref, but we’ll take it. HH
Horrible pitch, Horrible weather, Horrible Team of cluggers, horrible Ref & horrible crowd,
We come away with 3 points, no injuries, no red card, That will do me.
3 points bagged and no injuries picked up. A good night but some not so good observations on the game tonight;
1) we don’t seem able to break a press, even when employed by a poor team.
2) our finishing was desperately poor.
3) Hayes has kompromat on Lenny.

Watched the game on a link with the sound off. Thought Celtic were comfortable even when hearts were having their spells of pressing and pressure.
Turned the sound up and it turns out we were struggling. Go figure.
No complaints about anyone tonight.
They all did their jobs.
Resisted the initial robust, fine example of a euphemism, start from Hearts ably assisted by a ref with a variable rules interpretation.
MOTM. Captain Courageous.

Would have taken that score before the game, however, we should have increased our goal difference by a few more…and Christie disappeared second half…and please Chris Jullien, toughen up and don’t be such a drama queen…other than that, well done bhoys!
Last time I remember so many 2-0 results we lost them the league on goal difference. 2003 Martin O’Neil.?

RobertTressell, we were comfortable even listening to the commentators, they were desperate for Hearts to make a challenge in the game, they worked hard, which might stand them in good stead, but they didn’t lay a glove on us tonight, 2-0 flattered them.

If some expect Celtic to be very pleasing on the eye and score a barrowload in spite of the wild conditions, the ref, the agricultural opposition and the playing surface, then that `some` will seldom be pleased.
Tonight`s performance and result is what Champions do.
Now, come on the Hibees on Friday.
Danso- you’re joking right? Killing teams under Brendan? His first season absolutely- after that not at all. Last December until he walked out was an utter slog fest as I recall.
On a different night could and should have been five or six.
Mud heap of a pitch, cloggers galore in maroon. Terrible ref, no injuries, eleven men on the pitch at the end.

Not a great game ….but 3 points ….one good thing …. We will not have another league game at that dump this season….
Hayes seems to be the goat that won his freedom tonight. At least James gets a break. I didn’t see it like that, Thought he did as well as anybody. Finding it hard to pick 3 tonight must give it a bit of thought.

Totally agree…..this is becoming a creeping issue methinks. Ok we eventually come good, but i feel we could take a real beating and panic if we don’t sort this. Wonder if the wee huns saw the big huns do this and decided it was worth a go.
For now i’ll stick with shite pitch, weather and ref.
Pleasing (for me) that result. Hearts can be relied upon to kick everything/ steal yards at shies and ensure that the pitch is virtually unplayable. The Mib and his assistants gave them carte blanche to do so. We missed some chances but we are now 5 points clear. If you had given me that before the game started, I would have been delighted.
Eddy could have had a hat trick of his own tonight but looked just a wee bit off it , although mud wrestling’s not really his game.
I thought Griff could have had a bit more than the few minutes he got against a tiring Hertz defence . There was never going to be much fitba played on that pitch against that shower but the only two passages of class play from us brought 2 fine goals and 3 points . Mon the Hibees!!
