  1. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Anyone else get the idea that there’s a few trumpets on here just training their guns…………….who to blame.

A wee bit of group consensus might have to go into this one. Today’s pre-match favourite, Sinclair ruled himself out having scored two.

If all else fails there’ll be a few interlopers, offering a suggestion two.

  2. LG is our best CF… And is likely to stay..unlike Dembele who will be gone in summer.. and OE who wuill probably be back at PSG in summer. So to piss him off does not make sense. Could end up with no CF in summer.. Already losing a few players to World cup for CL first rounds

  3. We have now played Hibs 3 times after Europe letting in 6 goals.

Lenny has learned to save some energy and not go full out as he did in the first game.

How much space did Hibs get the last 15min? Not good enough.

Dreading Broony getting injured and what is the score with Kouassi, something not right there considering all the rave revues he gets from Lennoxtown.

    Lots of games coming up.

  4. Getting tae before the NFL love in gathers momentum, Hibs weren’t worth their two goals and didn’t deserve a draw.

Thinking before posting would be new to me :-)

    MIT

The second half was excellent BUT if Leigh was on the park I think Hibs 2nd goal would be irrelevant :-)

  6. Ntcham is going to be a superstar.

He oozes class and has brilliant awareness on the pitch.

Sinky woke up at half time .

How lucky was McGinn to have such a lenient ref?

  7. onenightinlisbon on

Not for me to tell Brendan who to play but for what it’s worth I though Leigh should have been on at some point today, more mobile than the other two and always likely to score from a free kick. Draw that seems like a defeat….

  8. Brogan Rogan Trevino and Hogan on

    Carrigan2

Totally agree. We need a stronger midfield though I can see other areas that need strengthened.

Right, off oot to the Big Feed.

  9. STARRY PLOUGH

I think he is a good player but he got away with a lot today.

Their goalie had an excellent game as did Efe except for his usual customary error that led to Dembele chance.

    Same as it ever was.

  10. Thought it was a brilliant game overall.

We should have won and could have lost.

We have now dropped more points this year then we did in the entire League last year.

That is a slightly sobering statistic OK but you have to give opponents credit as well.

The one good thing apart from extending unbeaten run is that Hibs will be really pumped up for Hun game,

Think John McGinn has a future at Celtic.

  11. FAN-A-TIC

Yep, you’ve got it all worked out, I’m glad you come on here to enlighten me.

Do agree that Ntcham will be a very good player, in fact he already is a very good player. Superstar? By what definition, Steven Gerrard? Scott Brown or Toni Kroos?

All great players but I would suggest that only two of them are superstars.

    Cheers. HH

  12. Hello again all you young rebels.

What a game that was, certainly not for the purists but

i loved it, Celtic could have been out of sight but i think

they got caught up in the conconmitent of it all, did i spell

    that right?

    Who cares? 68 and cruising.

  13. FAN-A-TIC

I think he fancies that no 8 jersey from Scott, always plays well against us, had he been wearing pink the day though he would have been booked for sure:))

Disappointed to drop points after going 2 up, but still unbeaten after 68 games. Hibs away was one I was worried about, so glad not to lose. Hibs know how to hurt us. If we can retain our lead until Xmas break we’ll pull away after a rest. Important not to give the Huns or Aberdeen any more encouragement between now and then. No doubt that we’re not dominating teams the way we did last season. As you would expect teams are getting smarter in their tactics. In Brendan we trust. And big congrats to our bhoy Lenny.

  15. 50 shades of green on

It’s awrite I just checked we are still top.

    Six tae Eight.

    H.H.

    Not so pretty in pink.

  16. Nye Bevans' rebel soldier on

We were in control for most of the game and should have won a

sloopy sloopy last 15 cost us, would imagine Brendans no happy.

    McGinn…..would definitely take a punt.

  17. mike in toronto on

    GFTB

Tend to agree with Maradominic…. i think there is a good chance Moussa will leave after this season, so unless we have already agreed to buy EO, we need to keep LG involved, and as sharp as possible.

And we all know how much Hibs mean to him, so I worry that he may take not getting on today rather poorly. He seems to be a player that responds well when he feels appreciated, so think he needs to be shown that he is still part of our plans a bit more often.

  18. I think today’s result can be put down to tiredness. We totally controlled proceedings until last 15 minutes and then ran out of steam. Brilliant clearance from Mikael Lustig to keep the run intact. The timing of the substitutions seemed to coincide with our bad spell. Might have been better to leave well alone with benefit of hindsight but who knows. I’ll leave the decisions to Brendan. 68 but feels a wee bit like a loss,

    Hail! Hail!

  19. Brendan Rodgers just described the pitch as tricky, I thought it a lot worse than that and would not be surprised if Hibs watered it before the start.

He said we controlled the game for 75 minutes then did not defend a left sided corner, Tierney and McGregor both culpable, then their CF is allowed to turn and get a shot at goal , no way Hibs deserved a draw but thats another 2 points dropped which was unnecessary as we should have won leading 2.0.

I hope they have the same appetite for the full game against Sevco.

  20. Must say, feckin pink, and then seeing Stokesy and Dylon

in green ma heid was all ower the place.

    Hoopsforever.

    H.H Mick

  21. TOP DEFINITION

    hospital ball

Figuratively (1): In sports, a dangerous pass of the ball that may result in injury to the receiver.

Figuratively (2): A Catch-22 situation which will inevitably lead to a person being badly hurt, humiliated or otherwise up shit creek.

  22. McGinn? Maybe, but he would have been booked within 15 minutes today wearing the Hoops (pink?) And would have been less influential it’s what the SFA’s game “managers” do!

  23. Hard to know what’s happening with Griff & to a lesser extent Kouassi.

Odsonne didn’t get a sniff all season & from nowhere arrived on the scene & suddenly was flavor of the month.

I love Griff and would hate to see him leave, hope he starts against the Accies & gets a hat trick

  24. Boyata at the moment is key in building almost everything from the back. You can see Jozo and Lustig looking for him and its often left to him to create.

He simply hasn’t got this in his locker and will make mistakes.Playing Biton slightly ahead of the back four, being the playmaker would be my answer . Mistakes could be recovered without the panic stations we see .

I would do this at the expense of one of the wingers

  25. Watching Maginn for a half-dozen times this season, I think he is the obvious Broonie replacement. Watching him today, he has a lot of the same movement and tricks. He’s been studying our captain methinks.

The Hibs connection for our wee Hibee would matter not a jot when he is on the park, I love the fact he supports another team but gives us 100%

TOSB hope you got the tutu back in one piece :-) by the way Leigh G wouldn’t have been tired he hasn’t stretched a leg for a few games now

No compliants from me about a draw and Hibs played well…. but why hamstring yourself by not playing your best goal scorer :-)

  27. mike in toronto on

    Lovely goal by Salah!

If MD leaves, I hope we use the 30 million as a down payment on him!

  28. John McGinn would have been sent off today playing for us.

Hibs did today what every other team in Scotland does hack away and dive as soon as you as much as breathe on them and on top of that they even prepared the pitch, very Hunnish.

    KTF

  29. I was impressed by McGinn today, he does play on the edge like Scott Brown. It will be interesting to see if he gets as much freedom on Wednesday night.

Tired legs played a part today but more so tired minds I think. At 2 nil we relaxed and we allowed too much space in our box.

The run ahead in December in very tough, away to Edinburgh twice and then the nonsense of a noon kick off on Boxing Day. Will this mean players away from their families on Xmas day?

It’s almost like the authorities want it to be hard for us to face their poster boys at the year end.

  30. What do I know about football! I rubbished Mo Salah earlier this season as being far too slow and a waste of money (though I admitted my error about 6 weeks later) :-)) What a great player he is. Total class.

  31. Gerryfaethebrig on

    Bada 2.55pm

McGinn will be a far better player playing for Hibs for around 150 games week in week out then give him the opportunity to don the Hoops, like many others especially Delaney’s Dunky I would sign McGinn in a minute, him going against Broony reminds me of a young Scott Brown going head to head (virtually) with Neil Lennon….
