Hibs are above Celtic for good reason

419

The next 19 days sees Celtic in action against Hearts twice, Leipzig twice, Hibs (tomorrow) and Dundee, the latter the only prosaic occasion among them.  How we negotiate this period will go a long way to determine our domestic and European season.

Brendan will almost certainly rest Tom Rogic after his midweek trip to Kuwait but with five days until we face Leipzig, I expect a full strength team for the visit of Neil Lennon’s side.

Hibs are above us in the league for a reason, they have lost only twice this season (once domestically and once in Europe) and have the best goal difference in the league.  They did very well home and away against us last season and Neil will ensure his team have no concerns about visiting Celtic Park this term.

The players know the scale of the challenge ahead, which should bring the best out of them.  A sneaky feeling we might end the weekend top of the league too.

    MacJay,

We’ll discuss this again some time I hope…

I’m presently hanging off the end of a couch with my phone on a ventilator.

Bathed, still-wet dog beteen me and the fire.

Still, I’ve got to say….was watching your argument all day, and am baffled how….you can’t see what happened, has happened and is still happening…..when the recuitment policy is that human beings are being recruited on a basis that they have to leave their humanity behind.

That’s the first post ever that I thought you were talking rubbish …. score against the hoops and get a chance to don the hoops … or… not score against our hero’s and never have a chance to don the hoops ….

Hope you are well and the wee princess is keeping you in your toes, my wee 10yr old whirllwind is Emily Grace…. so when I read if your wee Grace am afraid MissGFTB isn’t far from my thoughts … by the way tell I read your post about the world bring smaller tell Paddymacoz I know JR from the SydneyCSC very well …. those Reillys are everywhere :-)

  7. The 2 best Fitba teams in Scotland going head to head on a wonderful pitch Today.

Only an absolute Scumbag of a Referee could spoil the game.

I have no idea who the Referee is btw.

Brendans Celtic will go for it and Neils Hibernians will go for it.

I expect Celtic to Win this Big Game as we are @ Home.

A Spooky thing happened that said Celtic 4 Hibs 0.

Unlike most other games @ Celtic Park not broadcast LIVE – The Referee is likely to favour Celtic on this occasion in any decision.

The Referees are a Disgrace – Well the ones Allowed to be passed through – despite being Sh!t.

It’s gonnae be the game of the Season I reckon.

Tom and Jamesie to combine very well again – I’d guess.

Men are entitled to make that commitment.

Incidentally ,why no push for Nuns to marry ?

    Double standard ?

  11. In Tenerife, just back in and read and listened back. Great blog tonight, some great tunes and real excitement about tomorrow.

Fairhill Bhoy, your dad must know mine. They both went to OLHS when Cesar was there.

Re tomorrow, or now today, I think we can batter Hibs if we turn up. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was 4 or 5.

Anyone still in Tenerife tomorrow The Irish Fiddler is the place to be.

    Hail Hail.

  12. GFTB, getting worried here , agreeing with you on Bellamy ? spoke to a motherwell players dad that night most Wishaw guys will probably know who, he said Bellamy was on Twenty Grand plus his Bhoy was on job seekers allowance,

I was in the Fiddler for the Hearts game and PR67 told me to go along the road to the Irish Rover (bhoys fae Partick own it) then Athens beat us, enjoy Tenerife bad (fitba) memories for me … but lovely holiday but again not a patch on Coatbridg :-)

Weebawbabbity .. I loved Bellamy as a player … but didn’t want to play with us long term so am afraid … there’s the door

PaulMcStayCSC sometimes really good players (Bellamy) will never ever be really great players… he missed about 3 one on ones that day …

Great players can be afforded important chances …. Bellamy wasn’t good enough to get away with missing easy chances :-) (all in my opinion)

  14. Alasdair MacLean on

    MacJay,

I was made aware of tbe drop in standards all through my school life…by my Dad…..who got an equivalent of a B in higher Latinn….while suffering from tuberculosis..

Big dum-down was..I didn’t have to translate from English INTO Latin.

    Sooo..

Ahm no daft enough…….to think ahm clever!

  15. Nuns getting married? I hadn’t even thought of that. But I have no problem with it. If it avoids those evil bitches at Symlum home in Lanark I’m all for it. we want normal kind caring human people in charge of our caring areas. Not the despoicable perverts who seemed to thrive in our church.

Married priests, Nuns as priestesses , No problem. If it gets rid of the wierdos.

  16. Gerryfaethebrig,

Craig Bellamy was a good player but has turned a bit too Joey Barton. Looking down their nose @ Scottish Fitba.

We just have Sh!t admins F’ing everything up. Blazers.

We have the Young Ones that Love Fitba – Loadsa Talent out there.

  17. GFTB

Sounds like a bad omen going to The Irish Rover.

Watched 3 games in the Fiddler and we haven’t lost a goal, think I’ll stick with that…

I want Celtic to win tomorrow whether Neil is the opposition manager or not

Neil Lennon took a wage cut to join Celtic (following his mentor Martin) there is a great photo of a young Scott Brown going head to head with Neil when Neil has the black & green strikes on ,,,, Neil is a Celtic legend in my eyes and Scott is a Celtic legend in the making ….

    Celtic life is good ?

  20. BTW not all celibate priests, brothers and sisters were weirdo. I knew loads who were saints.

I read on here the other day about players not being in touch with the fans, I can assure you KT is non touch with the fans my young great niece was 16 during the week … her favourite player KT so a signed shirt “sweet 16” signed and a signed photo of young Kieran with the megaphone leading the GB… that young bhoy is s credit to Celtic ?
