Hibs are above Celtic for good reason

419

The next 19 days sees Celtic in action against Hearts twice, Leipzig twice, Hibs (tomorrow) and Dundee, the latter the only prosaic occasion among them.  How we negotiate this period will go a long way to determine our domestic and European season.

Brendan will almost certainly rest Tom Rogic after his midweek trip to Kuwait but with five days until we face Leipzig, I expect a full strength team for the visit of Neil Lennon’s side.

Hibs are above us in the league for a reason, they have lost only twice this season (once domestically and once in Europe) and have the best goal difference in the league.  They did very well home and away against us last season and Neil will ensure his team have no concerns about visiting Celtic Park this term.

The players know the scale of the challenge ahead, which should bring the best out of them.  A sneaky feeling we might end the weekend top of the league too.

  1. Sorry Springhill Bhoy I didn’t answer your question. We now have a band hall in Windsor Street. gifted to us by the Episcipalion (SP) Church (Scottish Church of England Communion). How’s about that? God Bless Them.

  2. I’ve got a complaint or two to make.

I just checked the World Clock.

    It is 17.06 in Toronto.

    8.06 in Melbourne.

    I rest my case!

  3. Hello again all you young rebels.

Good morning on this lovely Celtic weekend, just a wee answer from

me to TEUCHTER AR LA, i think, when discussing the name of the pub

that sat on London rd outside the park yesterday, i mentioned it might

    have been called sidelines.

Luckily i knew my princess had kept a cutting of a 1968 pink times and

after much rummaging i now confirm it was The Sideline and there’s

a photo of her uncle Joseph Jim Keegan with Bertie Auld and Joe Mcbride

knocking over a big column of pennies which pubs used to do for

    charity.

Anybody on here old enough to remember it or even had a pint?

You won’t be disappointed he’s the best/funniest site out there at the moment, constantly ripping the p@@h out the Huns. Give it a read guys.

Eddie, I agree, he is very funny. It’s just a pity about the “cursin and swearin”. The absence of this on CQN is a welcome relief and one of the major attractions of the site. It’s great to be able to direct footie-mad kids to CQN knowing that their encyclopaedic knowledge of swear words won’t be added to:)))))))))))))

IMHO, Paddy would be a whole load funnier without the swearies. But what do I know???

Thanks for your replies and your obvious concern for the welfare of the Catholic Church.

    A concern I share.

The ” conflict of interest ” issue remains , as far as I am concerned.

Comparisons with other Christian Faiths are interesting , but not valid.

The current duties of a Catholic priest are clear cut . Marriage would interfere dramatically with his ability to carry out those duties.

The logical extension of a married Priest is a married Pope appearing on the balcony with wife and children overlooking St. Peters Square.

As the white smoke appears ……………

Habemus Papam et uxorem et liberi.

    Buckhouse revisited.

You may be comfortable with that scenario.

    I would not.

    I suspect I`m not alone.

Concentrate on ” fixing ” the current crisis engulfing the Church.

That`s the only thing which Catholics should be concentrating on.

    IMHO

Only problem I have with the music links / posts, especially in a Friday, is that it is impossible to keep up.

Almost every link, is good, and a big % is exceptional.

Some are totally new to me….and educational…..while entertaining at the same time.

This has been my problem with CQN for a decade now.

    I can’t keep .up!

Anyway, here’s a Friday night salutation to all who have posted here in the past 10 years…..

    The ones who have died.

    The ones who have left.

The ones who are still here.

I …I….think this sums this place up..

    MacJay,

Just refreshed the thing to post about punks…and true punks…and up popped your post.

Sorry, but I am on the other side to your argument.

When things go theological in the Christian religion…and sectarian…I have grown to think: What would Jesus think? / Say?

But what I really wanted to post….no order…

    Clash?.Good songs…middle class educated bandwagoners though….

    Sex Pistols…original and brilliant.

Stiff Little fingers…my band. Tuneful great lyrics.

Shane MacGowan: best ever. Only true Punk in musical history. I can trust him….to be a cant….sorry, punk.

  12. Macjay, I love your concern for the church, I might have agreed with in the past.

but do you not think God Himself moves on?

Think of the God from the Old Testament – at times a vengeful and punishing God – to Our lord Jesus in the new Testament.

Believe it or not he is all powerfull, but emotional too. Think of Jesus in the Garden or on the Cross.

The highest being in Heaven below God is our Blessed Mother. Above the highest ranking Angels. A Woman!

Nuns should be allowed to be priests. We need them desperately. In many countries in the world they see a priest about twice a year.

Do you believe Jesus would be bothered with that. Yes he only chose male apostles, to do otherwise at the time would have been scandalous.

    We have grown up.

  13. Good evening all, I thought it might be safe to log in here again. I hope you are all well.

Leftie, great news about the wee mhan. God bless Daniel. HH to all of you.
