  1. I have Tuesday night’s athletics recorded to watch next week when the fuss has died down.

It’s like some sports where you get a much better idea watching on tv rather than being there live.

For any London based Tims, the whole complex is well worth a visit. I’m sure it shouldn’t be too difficult getting Paralympics tickets.

  2. Maybe it’s just me but for some strange reason the article on

Reminds me of a line I heard on Futurama where Flexo (Benders mate) is arrested and sent to a South American Turkish prison. :)))

I’ve been to Norway on a boat, but it wasn’t a cruise ship by a long chalk. That Skagerrak is well choppy. Avoid that! :)

Seriously though, I have heard they are very good, but very expensive.

The fact that he has now been transformed into a sevcovian must be gnawin’ at his vitals.

I hope it hurts. A lot.

I’m still very upbeat about the result and our aggregate score. It must surely give the team great confidence in their chances of progressing much further.

I really hope they prove all the naysayers wrong. Me? I keep the faith.

    One love : Celtic F.C.

  10. Maybe they’ll have Gaelic football in the Olympics.

It might be the inverse of what happens with those from the unionist community in the North. If they can’t make the British squad, they join the Irish one. Fair enough – live and let live etc.

Anyway, Ireland would obviously have the pick of the players.

Those who decide they wouldn’t be good enough might then declare for Team GB.

The GB manager would also be trawling through GAA squads for anybody with an English grandmother.

Stranger things have happened after all – the fall of Communism in the space of 4 months, the Queen speaking Irish and a certain club no longer existing.

Just a wee thought many have speculated on the delay from the FTT on the decision on old gerz.

Just a wee thought I have been hearing from contacts close to the SNP that AS (wee Eck to his RFC mates) has been working behind the scenes to help out old RFC with their difficulties with HMRC and I was thinking why would Dave Cameron help out AS with his RFC problem, because it is clear a delay in the decision has at least allowed RFC get to this stage with their phoenix football club. What was in for old DC, now I have had some of the missing pieces of the jigsaw. Politically the coalition between the Tories and the Fib-Dems is in deep trouble, and the Fib-Dems have threatened to withdraw support for Parliamentary boundary changes since the Tories stuffed them on Lords reforms.

This means the Tories will need allies to get support to get their proposals into law, so 3 guesses as to which political party has offered to help the Tories out with their numbers problem in parliament, yes you are right the good old SNP, they will come to the aid of the Tories, and what was 1 of the conditions demanded by AS to help the Tories right again they needed help with HMRC as 1 of Scotland’s iconic Scottish sporting institutions was in trouble, if the Tories could help the SNP to accommodate RFC in the short-term then it would help the SNP. Tories and Nats do a deal to help tax-dodging football team.

I also heard AS and his Sports Minister had applied serious pressure to the SFA/SPL to assist RFC in obtaining membership of the highest league possible. The behavior in favouring RFC was strange to watch. AS even used the Commonwealth Games card with the football authorities as IPox is part of the Games venues.

Sorry to post the boring stuff, but I thought people would want to know the depths AS and the SNP will sink to, to protect RFC, it stinks.

The more info. like this that is released will ensure that the self-promoter Salmond’s wee dreams of a Scotland fit for orange and blue meanies is doomed and his party will get smashed at the next elections. Corruption is rampant in society worldwide and the perpetrators insult us all by thinking we’re going to buy it any longer or are so dumbed down that a year or two of bread and circuses are going to make us more open to just letting it all go.

    Nah…..not gonna happen.

And oh yeah….it will entirely wreck the game in Scotland if verifiable proof is published that there has been undue influence exerted to save a criminal enterprise i.e. the shenanigans in and around iPox.

I know the SNP are capable of those tactics (aren’t they all) but I can’t see DC agreeing to undermine the FTT for 6 votes to overturn a loss of 57 votes.

We’re heading for a double dip recession and I doubt the SNP have the clout to pull that one off. :) Even with the Unionist votes they’ve only 14 votes between them.

Wouldn’t put it past them, but have my doubts.

DC has far more to worry about than Bawface. Bawface cannot intervene in the FTT, he would be incredibly stupid to even try. Despiter everything else the balloon headed one has shown himself to be politically astute ( that doesn’t explain Derek McKay!).

This tribunal will deliver it’s verdict when it’s ready, Murray is trying the old ‘foreign refs need to watch this shower’ crap that he used to try on European teams.

Sorry readReads like speculative BS to me. The timescale does not fit together for a start. The Tories problems with their coalition partners over boundary changes is relatively recent so when did this lever used by AS. Also what is the advantage to any politician to act in support of a cause without being able to demonstrate that they had done so? The political risks involved are simply too great for AS to become involved as he learnt from his ill judged intervention immediately after administration. I would not be surprised if AS is trying to do a deal with Cameron but the key issue will be the terms and timing of the independence referendum. He is not going to prejudice those negotiations with a side show such as the future of RFC. For what its worth I have little time for AS the man but I do not believe him to be a bigot.

DC will still get the FTT decision and HMRC will still be able to go after other wrong-doers. AS only needed the delay in giving RFC the verdict to allow them to get back in the league and get a foot-hold on survival.

Cameron will need all the votes he can get he will not lose all the Lib-Dem votes some of them Clegg included are more right wing than their Tory partners, so if he can get the SNP and Ulster Unionists, I doubt they will get the Welsh Nats because of the boundary changes hit them bad and they are not as daft as the SNP they know nothing good comes out of a deal with the Tories.

Salmond is a snake and he has got a lot of pressure from the large RFC wing of the party to do everything for their brethren in Govan (also happens to be Sturgeon’s seat)
