HOOPS FLOP HEADS FOR HOLLAND

FORMER Celtic loan flop Charly Musonda has returned to Dutch side Vitesse for a second season-long deal.

The 22-year-old midfielder, the one-time so-called Belgian wonderboy at Chelsea, was injured for almost the entire campaign the previous year and made only one appearance for the side in a 6-1 Eredivisie win over De Graafschap.

His stint at Parkhead was equally disappointing when he made just eight outings and did very little of note.

Former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers revealed he had to fight off rival moves from TWENTY-THREE clubs, with Real Mdrid reported to be among them, to land the youngster..

Musonda arrived during the second half of the 2017/18 term in a blaze of publicity in a temporary transfer that was originally scheduled for a year and a half.

However, the forward was on his way back to Stamford Bridge after only four months.

The player, who has made only three appearances for the London outfit, has also had a loan spell with Real Betis.

On his return to Vitesse, he said: “I am very keen to show the real Charly Musonda.”
