CELTIC’S £2million misfit Vakoun Bayo has sealed his season-long loan deal with French outfit Toulouse.

The Ivorian striker, one of Brendan Rodgers’ last signings for the Hoops in January 2019, agreed the move to the second tier side today – after posing for pictures in the team’s strip a few days ago.

Bayo, 23, didn’t feature in Neil Lennon’s pre-season warm-up games as he was sidelined with a hamstring injury. He has taken the opportunity to kick-start his career at Christopher Jullien’s former club who were relegated last term according to the Celtic website.

The powerhouse frontman, who arrived from Slovakian side Dunajská Streda, made 17 appearances for the nine-in-a-row champions and scored only two goals as he failed to impress at Parkhead. He netted in the 5-0 Betfred League Cup win over Partick Thistle in September and against Clyde in the Scottish Cup victory in February.

He still has two years of his Hoops contract to run.
