CELTIC lost their 100 per cent home domestic record when they were held to a scoreless stalemate against a stubborn Aberdeen yesterday.

No-one would have been surprised that the champions found goals difficult to come by against the Pittodrie outfit in Glasgow.

On the previous two occasions, the Hoops have scored a goal a game against Derek McInnes’ team. Thankfully, one of those strikes brought in three precious points in the pursuit of the eighth successive title and another also won the Betfred League Cup.

In late September, substitute Scott Sinclair found the key to unlock the Dons resistance with a cheeky back-heel that bamboozled keeper Joe Lewis.

At the start of December, it was Ryan Christie’s turn to take centre stage at Hampden with the volley that brought in the first of the season’s silverware.

Amazingly, it was a different tale completely on their ground on Boxing Day when Sinclair claimed a hat-trick and Odsonne Edouard chipped in with another in a remarkable 4-3 victory.

Unfortunately, it didn’t rain goals in the east end of Glasgow yesterday, but CQN‘s team of ace snappers were there to capture the action of a dramatic encounter.
