    I would expect Celtic to fully exploit the wide open spaces of Celtic Park against ICT when they come visiting. Teams that need to play 10 man defence at home get no respect from me. I realise that ICT have a lot less resources to call on than us but that sort of mindset is what is totally wrong with Scottish football. Safety first and hope for the best rather than entertain. Not for me.

    against a team with the resources of ICT who thoroughly deserved their win.

     

    And they’ve played 4 ,won 3 drew 1 Jimbob

    No problem with resting players for Tuesday night, but play a system to suit today’s players, not play them out of position.

    Only thing today proved is we have some absolute s**** on the payroll.

     

    Add in a disillusioned commons and griffiths and that result was inevitable.

     

    Our reserves simply ain’t good enough.

     

    Onwards and upwards to Tuesday which is far from a formality.

    I get the bit about resting players.

     

    I fully understand that Tuesday is biggest game of the season.

     

    My biggest disappointment today. I hate managers who sit in the dugout when their team has lost shape.

    Feel sorry for the guys that still fork out time and commitment to follow works in progress or experiments…..my days of being taken for a mug are well over

     

    Didn’t see any of the action so don’t know if ICT any better or any worse than Maribor but the same reversal means we are out come Wednesday

     

    8 live spanish games to take in on Sky over the weekend so the worlds still an ok place

    Hard working, organized ICT side.

     

     

    For us, Commons was disappointing and never seemed to have his touch.

     

    Pukki wasn’t sharp enough and he and Griffiths didn’t work as a unit

     

    Twardzik was overwhelmed.

     

    O’Connel did fine but exposed by poor cover from Twardzik and midfield

     

    Henderson, McGeouch and Bitton were not convincing

     

    We lost the midfield for most of the game, which meant that we were vulnerable at the back and toothless up front.

     

    Johansen and McGregor should have made a positive difference, but their goal came down our left where Johansen should have been. He should have been put into his central role and put McGeouch to left back – IMHO. McGregor had little impact

     

     

    Zaluska did fine, had no chance with their goal and made a great save later.

     

     

    We’ve needed leaders on the field for a long time now, and maybe Johansen is stepping up for that role. Wee signs of it for me.

     

     

    Tuesday’s game is the more important and ICT away has been a banana skin for us in the past.

    Just think of those poor fans travelling all the way to Inverness to watch an almost second string Celtic. The fans didn`t walk there! They travelled mainly by train and coach and will no doubt , result apart, be having a cracking day. The Manager made it clear he would be making drastic changes. These comments on here are just a snide way of having a go at RD under the guise of feeling for our fans. Pathetic.

    This will also allow RD to learn something about packed defenses and how to breach them (or at least how not to breach them). I hope we sign Scepovic.

    Remember when O’Neill sent a full strength team to Inverness and lost? remember when Strachan did the same? Remember when Lennon also followed suit? I do.

     

    This result with a full strength team wouldn’t be surprising, so why are people allowing their knickers to get in such a twist considering circumstances and significance of Tuesday? Untwist thy knickers, untwist them I say.

    We need our starting 11 to get as much game time as possible to get our fluency going and an understanding built.Feel for travelling support.A lot of cash spent and time away to watch that garbage today.

    Never enjoy losing but today was as unlucky a loss possible and to big yogi so it softens it a bit

     

     

    As others have said … Ronny will be realising what his squads depth and width is

     

     

    Really surprised that LG has not done ANYTHING this season . Teemu has no future … Dylan is Killie class … Amido for the off soon I hope .. Derk too although I am not sure the manager agrees on that one

     

     

    Positives today .. Decent showing from o Connell and Henderson but not first team level yet

     

     

    Biton is a better player with brown and mulgrew / johanson beside him

     

     

    Commons needs to sharpen up but he’s always been a slow starter

     

     

    Think I saw a stat … 14 shots on goal with 7 on target .. That ratio will improve

     

     

    Btw .. ICT had 1 shot on target

    You do also have to remember it’s not just a second string, but a second string who have never played together as one unit. So some allowances have to be made for things not clicking as well as poor individual performances.

     

     

    But I do not think some of the young players or second string are going to be good enough.

    Of course Tuesday is the main prize

     

    But poor that Celtic Fc lost to Inverness

     

    As a lot of bloggers are saying , a lot of that team should not be anywhere near Celtic park and would struggle to get in another SPFL side

     

    I was hoping to see griffifths and stokes together why do Celtic never play two strikers at the same time ?

     

    Last 10mins was woefull

     

    Transfer window also there to ship dross out

    Result was entirely foreseeable. Play a group together that haven’t played before and it’s like playing pre season. And I think that is all the importance that was placed on this match.

     

     

    Give guys a run out, match fitness sharpened, Ronnie sees players in competitive league match.

     

     

    Perfect.

     

     

    I am not alone in not giving a crap about it.

     

     

    However it should be a one off.
