  1. Oh and by the way, if Izzy had been playing like a left back and not as a centre half he might have prevented the winning goal.

When that ball came across he was stoatin’ aboot the penalty spot.

    And his crosses are poor.

But I like him so please keep playing him.

    Please.

Better Celtic teams have been diddled out of trebles than this one.

  3. Thull make it a furore……….

    from Celtic………………………….

…………..and we will be blamed for complainin’.

For the sake of the game I hope we do complain.

I love Big Yogi and I wish him nothing but the best.

  4. Gutted.

    Red to blame.

Decision to take JF off and leave KC on terrible. Called it at the time, everyone around surprised.

Also decision to send Hendo away a bad one. Tonev not a fit and proper person to wear the jersey.

  5. archdeaconsbench on

We were poor today, lets no kid ourselves. Too many stray passes and bad decision making in the final third.

The day we are counting on fair deal from the MIB we’re in trouble. And so it was thus….

  6. With a four leaf clover on my breast. And the green and white upon my chest. It’s such a joy for us 2 c. As they play football the Celtic way.

  7. Ah well, trebles are hard to win, especially when the authorities are hell bent on stopping you.

Over to you Celtic, call them out for what they are, I dare you.

  8. James Forrest played well today. I haven’t been a fan of his in recent months but there is no denying (IMO) that he was on form today. He had Raven all over the place.

….and we should boycott away games until the end of the season also ……well, I have been for the past. 30 years anyway …..feck me, nothing changes

No it doesn’t it was a shocking decision from all concerned we know the background of maclean, well ive told you the north stand linesmans, these guys are paid to get things right all 6 of them and the 3 closest failed and should be chased, Celtic need to initiate the chasinfg but will they?

  11. One of the most blatant examples of cheating one could possibly witness from a Ref and his assistants in a modern professional league. What will be done? IMO Celtic FC will do nothing apart from meekly taking our reserved seat at the back of the bus.

However this doesn’t excuse how poor some of the team were today I don’t make a habit of naming the under performing culprits but, KC, LG and NB should be getting their collective asses booted by RD.

RD must also take a share of criticism. Did little to change shape, tactics and players when it was obvious that we were struggling. Why was Tonev even on the bench? is our 1st team squad so bereft of hungry ‘home grown’ talent that we have to use AT? I am very much in the ‘reserving judgement’ on Ronnie camp and believe our Euro comp qualifications will tell us if he is indeed ‘ the right stuff’.

Today was a sore one to take for more than one reason.

  12. Put yir cash on the sheep ‘manager’ to win MoTY, regardless of where they finish.

  13. It won’t make a difference if McLean is demoted if the next one in line is doing the same things

    None at all

  14. theglasgowcelticway on

I’d also like to know who allowed the park to be watered at half time when it was clear to everyone who watched the first half that the players couldn’t keep their feet. Can the people in charge of our game do anything right??

  15. Leigh Griffiths magic wand...of a left foot on

I’m going to pack up watching football if we do not make an official statement about the refereeing of that game. Stonewall penalty for James Forrest in first half not given. The most blatant handball to prevent a goal you will ever see and right in front of the official behind goal and in view of the linesman and referee. Should have been red card and another penalty. They just keep rolling out these hun referees. We barely got any decisions all game long. What about the tackle on Johansen in extra time when the guy went straight through him and it’s play on like usual.

I hope Ronnie has recognized Griffiths has a hard time playing up front alone in this formation. Guidetti plays it much better. Commons had a shocking game. Matthews was terrible also and barely stopped a cross all game. Probably didn’t help that Commons was over on his side. Commons corner in lead up to their goal was terrible but why with a 1 goal lead did we not just leave a couple players back. Johansen has been playing poorly for a couple of weeks now and the guy misses some amount of sitters.

When will there be an overhaul of officiating in Scotland. The referee should be made to answer why he made so many incorrect decisions. The official behind the goal was staring right at the handball incident yet did nothing. What’s he there for. He’s either a cheating hun or blind. They are cheats and I’m sick of us never saying a word about it and just taking it in the ass like we’re the SFA’s little bitch all the time.

Scott Brown played brilliantly today and should be player of the year for his consistency.

  16. my anger is no longer with the officiating – my anger is now with celtic’s board! THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES TO MOVE THIS FORWARD! whats the point in showing up if the rules are bent!

    Definite penalty – robbed

    2 things I question

1 how do we end up with one on one for their Pen when we were attacking ??

Because Kris Commons hit a shocker of a corner and Adam Matthews was half asleep when the ball was played up to our end.

  18. 67Heaven .. CHALLENGING THE LIE ..I am wee Oscar...... Ipox belongs to the creditors on

One thing”s for sure, they can’t pass that off as an honest mistake

  19. Very poor pitch yet again. Corrupt match officials as always.

Win the fecking league and get to the group games of the CL that will sicken them.

By the way we are far to powder puff up front, Broony the only player today who got full marks from me.

    KTF

  20. No blame to players or management.

We did enough in the first half.

We scored. We hit the bar. Their keeper had a couple,of good saves.

Cheating ROBBED us of second goal.

    Cheating DENIED us a penalty.

Cheating PREVENTED us from having a man advantage.

  21. …Aw wee chick’s aw playfu’ an’ chumsy……………………….joshin’ wi’ the lads.

  22. Thought we were kicked off the park there.

After every tackle or challenge for the ball ict players barging into our guys.

That Marley walker bloke they worst.

He should have been off for persistent fouling.

Hope celtic now speak out about refs and assistants handling of the game.

Shocking is not a strong enough word for it.

  25. I see the Green Juns are out.

    ‘We weren’t good enough’.

    Yes we were.

We were 2-0 up against ten men, in any country with officials who have no agenda.

Get out of Scotland, let the game die. What else do they deserve?

Good luck filling Hampden. Couldn’t give the tickets away.

  26. the long wait is over on

Can’t agree we weren’t good enough.

We know ICT arE always going to play a certain way and give us trouble.

Simple fact is we were deservedly a goal up when an Honest Mistake by two officials swung the game.

Think about that for a second- two officials with perfectly good views of the incident didn’t give it. That isn’t coincidence.

ICT players fouled throughout the game without bookings for tackles every bit as bad as the one Brown , our captain, was booked for early, resulting in him having to pull out for numerous challenges throughout the game.

At the end of each half of ET the ref blows the whistle when , in the first half, the ball is in the air towards the ICT penalty area and when , in the second half we’re about to take a free kick, both after fouls against us.

    Subtle but effective Mibbery.

Sure some of our players weren’t at their best but that game was lost for one reason only today. A truly shocking decision that’s up there with any of the countless decisions that have gone against us over the years. No wonder we’re “paranoid”

  27. bournesouprecipe on

Paul Brennan publishes the articles and didn’t include mibbery ( this time ) but he gave enough clues about Celtic’s fraility. over 90 minutes, they are anybody’s

and so say the Euro critiques every other day. If ever you had a bad feeling before a Celtic game this was it, for me anyway. Congrats to John Hughes who took advantage of a depleted Celtic side., and the helping hand he’s cute enough to know he’d get.

Celtic were smooth and took the lead through VVD, although we had chances especially Stefan Johansen’s poor finish straight to the keeper .

The entire semi final was immediately destined for Inverness when the referee and assistants were unable to call the clear penalty for Celtic, the marker was laid in first half injury time, and ICT were given the signal they needed.

Adam Matthews was on the bench in Inverness in preference to Efe Ambrose, and his poor defensive capability was highlighted throughout the game including extra time but especially with the ICT break and he failed to catch, or make a recovery tackle without Craig Gordon’s committal red card, and penalty

The rest really doesn’t matter because Celtic are lightweight up front, and the SuperCaley headlines already dusted off, were already published.

Celtic remain the only club in Scotland that still need to get out, this was ICT’s day and the Hamdump contingency made sure they got every conceivable chance, to return in May. Winning a marathon evens out, mibbery doesn’t, and ten men buckled under ineviatble pressure.

Celtic will win the League the League Cup was your bauble, the SFA await the introduction of another outlet for fraud, and cheating are you up for it?

Stay with me the game hinged on SFA cheating in the first half, when they blanked calling a Celtic penalty, if we’d been allowed to score the game was over.

Onwards to four in a row, and a new league for my children

  28. Murdo on bbc scotland says the decision didn’t change the game. He is an absolute soup taker of the highest category. He is making a complete arse of himself trying to justify it. Cretin.

  29. Don’t think the treble was ever going to be allowed, DO YOU ?

    Sorry for the shouting.

    Disgusted .
