  1. The exiled Tim

I too thought he was offside when the ball was passed upfield. Not surprised no replays. When Celtic TV makes recording available I will watch for confirmation.

  2. One more thing the ref was as sneaky a Huns as I have ever seen. Did more to break up play than their midfield

  3. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Sean thornton. Come on man cut out the swearing we are all disappointed but children come on to CQN lets remember that. H.H.

  4. We can nominate our favoured scapegoat as a Celtic player.

We can Monday-morning-quarterback all of Ronny’s decisions.

We can and we should ask questions about why our players slipped so much more than theirs did on the surface.

However it all swung on one blatant decision in the first half.

James Forrest’s incident was not a clear cut penalty as he slipped as well as being tackled.

Kris Commons was not a stonewaller as he was obstructed in a way that many defenders get away with.

But nobody, bar the SFA match officials, was able to say that the Meekings incident was not a clear pen and red card.

ICT did not cheat us anymore than Craig Gordon attempted to cheat them. It was the SFA officials who influenced this by one blatant act of omission.

And as for the argument that Jock Stein just said “score one more than them and you put the MIBs out of the equation”, are we talking of the same Jock who had cause to call out, and he did, the blatant acts of cheating that did the Lions and their successors out of various trophies and titles. The Lions were not always triumphant against mibbery either.

Whether RD, PL or DD himself calls out this example of mibbery, it will make no difference. After a defeat it will always be portrayed as Celtic sour grapes.

For clarity’s sake, I still think we should let them know we saw what went on, but I have no expectation that such a statement will do any more than play to a gallery.

Today was a big disappointment but not a big surprise.

And, to add insult to injury, we have lost out on the opportunity to see WITS’ bits get lots of You Tube hits in George Square :-)

P.S. I have in-laws in Inverness who are going to be insufferable now.

  5. Some saying we did not deserve it !!!!!!!.Six shots on target, one of the bar,one goal up,one stonewall penalty, and red card ignored !!!!.How much on top can you be in a semi-final that many thought would be close?.ICT,no shots on target.

Forget about “We did not deserve it”.We were pure and simply robbed.

  6. Feel awful after that. Shocking reffing but a few off the pace today. Don’t like playing big tough lads.

Though ICT tactics were spot on when the were a man up. We created nothing.

On the upside, first pint in Brazen head ever. Turbopropping back to Dublin at 6, so thought I’d try it. Good pub and crowd

  7. How do UEFA ensure that all Refs and assistants are ‘fair and unbiased’ within European domestic competitions? Does the beacon of unbiased fairness ‘Dallas’ still work for UEFA? Can Celtic ask for European observers at their games?

  8. Totally sickened . If we freeze-frame today’s pivotal decision its one of the worst I can recall, and I recall plenty . 2-0 ( or staying 1-0) with 10 men = game over. The match then goes off in another direction ( keeper off) and the whole context and dynamic changes.

We may not have been at our best today but we were entitled to get our rightful, blatant decisions.

The Strictly No Papes are likely to run riot at the election and everyone ; us, current buns, the sheepies and the cheuchters all appear to love them , so another one of wee Eck’s seminars to try and eradicate 300 years worth of bile and bigotry could be the order of the day in this new, vibrant , all-inclusive Scotland.

No one blamed Jim Murphy yet for today’s refereeing performance .

sean thornton is only 8 years old. the language of the youth today is shocking. they should be banned from cqn

  10. Tiny Tim,

I agree there is a lot of work still to be done to win the league. Not, however, imo, a lot of work needed to see that Ronnie Deila is the real deal.

We were blatantly cheated today and that is nothing new. It might well be a new experience for Ronnie Deila but he doesn’t seem to me to be someone who will meekly accept such poor treatment.

I hope he comes out and says what he thinks about the corruption that exists in Scottish football but I don’t think it will wear him down as it did Tony Mowbray. Ronnie is made of sterner stuff.

Surely, the time has come for us to apply to join the bottom tier of English football. Weare never going to get a level playing field here. NEVER.

No Monday morning quarterbacking needed, – anywhere on the Internet

The team even picked itself before it was announced.

James Forrest did slip – but McLean knew that just like he knew the handball was blatant.

Spot on. Jackie and Yogi are a pair of Hibees who were lucky to wear our shirt.

There is a lot of work still to be done to win the league.

The celebration of Ronnie Deila is far too premature.

    —–

    Agreed

I think we will win the league, but Aberdeen may see a vulnerability from todays result.

Conversely they may think we will be more determined than ever.

I am pleased that we won league cup, with league looking good, but so far RD hasn’t won a game yet that he shouldnt have won and as you say celebration is premature.

  15. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

    tontine Tim,

Totally agree with you on Hughes. His sickening praise of Sevco prior to his team capitulating should have been the subject of a Stewards’ Inquiery.

It’s a pity that football isn’t as honest as horse racing!!!

  18. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

Sickened the life clean out of me – watching those four lowlife cnuts facing down our footballers at the end of the first half.

And please consider this – we were one up with eleven still eligible to return to the game – the monkey mafia stood firm – and I’ll credit their defiance and absolute resolve – Do not allow Celtic to win that game of football.

    HH.

  19. We will go on now and win the league now that we will have Armstrong And Mackay- Stephens as we don’t now need to rely on Forrest And Commons …. Sadly Kris is past it his legs seem to have gone…..

  20. I know is instinct to dive in but just watched a rerun of their pen incident ,not criticising but could CG have just stood his ground and let the caley player have to make a decision, hindsight is a great thing.

  21. Anyway, my beautiful wee daughter gifted me abottle of the following for my birthday last week –

Bowmore, Islay, Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

    Absolutely deeeelicious.

    Anyone tried it?

  22. Lennon n Mc....Mjallby on

The power of supporting Celtic wherever they play always ensures we get heavily cheated when the chips are really down.

  23. Regrets? We’ll have a few. But when all is said and done, today we were cheated, it really is that simple.

  24. The men in black are to blame right enougn RONNIE CHANGE THE COLOUR OF YIR TRACKIE.!!!

Poor passing , poor choices. , poor tactics.

    Well done ICT/J HUGHES

A refereeing performance from the history book’s,my ole

da would tell me all sort of tales about masonic refs,as I

grew up I witnessed all sort of cheating, today was just

    another chapter.

We have the makings of a decent Celtic side, and if you

know your history it will tell you ONLY GREAT CELTIC

    SIDES WIN TREBLES.

Many year’s ago I swore I would never go back to Hampdump,

I broke my vow…….never again, and this time I really really really

    mean it.
