I am not defending the inclusion of Tonev, but i think it revolved around
1) He should have taken Kris off, not Jamesy. At that point Kris was poor, James was imho reasonable. He probably thought of Kris’ record at Hampden and decided to stick with him
2) As game wore on, Griifiths inability to hold ball up, was allowing ICT to gain control and attack us in waves, and i think , RD thought that Tonev’s pace may counter that.
I also think at that point he realised the mistake in hooking Forrest.
….i am not saying I agree with those decisions, just giving my take.
On reflection the introduction of Tonev, after 3/4 months in wilderness, and no development squad games was a very poor decision – similar to playing Berget in Europe 36 hours after signing.

McLean is the brother of bigoted ex hun player born in Scotland who chose to play for Northern Ireland without a word of disapproval from msm.
He has also become a player for NI and Scotland tonight and will be heaped with praise.
Unlike other Scots born players who played for Ireland who were regularly called traitors.

Officials were bad – no doubt. We get a fair few our way tho and probably had more for than against this season. Ronny would look daft to complain.
Adam M is a poor defender. KC is a luxury player.
We should have went more of an orthodox 441 after the sending off but then we are limited at the moment in terms of player availability.

Timjim I’m sorry that you have to come round to this. It is pretty horrible to watch all this unfold and it’s desperately frustrating. Celtic need to tackle this and it’s much more important than a simple football game. If they don’t then the club will diminish and die. Or we will go on and reinvent ourselves in a way that we can be proud of.
We can’t be proud of ourselves while we simply accept to be second class citizens.

Did McLean have to order CG off as the guy got his shot in?
Had it gone in would CG have been sent off?
What’s the line here. Is every foul by last man in box an ordering off with no discretion.
McLean must have known at half time he had screwed up so did he have no option but to order off CG.
It wasn’t the penalties it was the ordering off that changed the game. Was it unavoidable?
The turning point IS the non award of the pen and a red card. The Gordon incident happened afterwards so that is not the turning point.

The decision makers who gave a free week to Inverness rather than play an outstanding fixture before the split, like us , also had an influence today.
Small influence ,but added to the events on the field of play, an influence all the same.
I thought the penalty given against us in the Semi against Hearts a couple of years back was outrageous.
Compared with today’s non penalty you then have to question the officials competence. Or their impartiality.Or honesty.
If the rules were applied we’re through to a final. No doubt.
Everything about how the SFA conduct their business is questionable.

Haven’t seen replay of sending off but looked like the player shot before CG clattered into him so if he didn’t deny a goalscoring opportunity why a red card?
Will be interested to listen to Dougal & Clark when they are appear on our TVs tomorrow defending the referee and officials performance.

Box clever, we need to force our representatives on the board to make the correct decisions, not applying to join the SFA’s competitions would make far more impact than bumping our gums about biased refs.
