Issue 7 of CQN Magazine out now!

Issue 7 of CQN Magazine is out now! We continue our campaigning focus on the crisis in Scottish football from recent weeks as well as delivering many great articles on Celtic.

You can get a glimpse of the magazine below but go to the dedicated magazine site here to read it properly (which you’ll not be able to do below). Nip to page 64 for my favourite article this month, comparing the age of the current Celtic team to some of our great teams from the past. It’s an eye opener.

A special word of thanks to Alex Thomson of Channel 4 News, who this morning got Uefa to confirm: “We are in contact with the Scottish FA and offering assistance”.

We have tons to talk about in the next couple of days, Brian Kennedy, Sailen Manna – don’t let me forget to talk about Sailen, Athletic (one of the most important cup ties in years?), Kenny Shiels (don’t underestimate this guy) and we have a Cup Final to look forward to! Struggling to fit it in but we’ll try.

We are now shipping hard copies of the magazine from the UK – and sold out last month (unlike Rangers tickets last week).  Order your copy by clicking on the link below.  If you want a copy shipped overseas (note, seas, not sees) email me, celticquicknews@gmail.com (for Britain and Ireland please use the link below).

You can support the online edition by making a discretionary donation here.  Thanks to James, Bart, Bobby and David, all of whom are probably still asleep, and everyone who contributed.

The way things have been developing so far down at Mordor, my money’s on Sale Sharks. Why would you bid for something you didn’t want?

And a Hibernian supporter? Just a thought.

    Totally agree.

The bids will be to buy them when they have been liquidated.

Not even a stupid hun is so stupid to buy them now.

  5. Bhoys it has been another great day for all the Celtic Family. The pantomime goes on over at the asbestos midden, and squeaky bum Hampden. The noose is indeed tightening.

I am now going out to a wee St.Paddy’s night in St.Dominics in the briggs.

So everyone enjoy the weekend and may we all meet again on Monday with the first part of the treble in the bag and the huns in more doodoo.

Gary Hooper’s form hasn’t been that great recently, and he was poor against Kilmarnock on both occasions. If Lenny is choosing who to bench for this game, it should be Gary.

…. all of which means he will get a hat-trick on Sunday, and find a cure for grey squirrel pox.

  8. celticrollercoaster says In Neil we trust on

Seemingly there was a joint bid from Mr Bluenose and Mrs Custard who recently came into some money. They are looking for a venue to hold their parties. Bring Your Own Jelly & Ice-cream (BYOJI).

    Footie quiz starts at 9pm.

HT ,you’re a teacher, therefore I have no idea if you are smart or not.

Never listened to one in my life mate.

Though there was miss Kennedy at primary and

miss with the overbite at Trinity ,hung onto every word.

  10. is it possible that all this potential bidders is to make it look good

and at least there was effort made to save the club even by duff and duffer?

then when the big blow comes they have no other choice but to go new co

and there by possibly making it a less violent and acceptable decision?

Now that’s what I call good business acumen, forward planning, a definite aim and a venue chosen.

So lots of bids if ticketus and HMRC aren’t involved and Whyte gives everything away for nothing. Daily star headlines. Jokers. surly even the loyal when typing these stories must be red with embarressment.

  13. you have to remember if it is seen that people really tried and god

knows they have a compliant media then they will get away with liquidation

and forming new co a lot easier than if they were sitting waiting like vultures,

which is what is probably whats really going on..

  14. ANLH

Thanks for that maybe his bid is for a post liqidation buyout but not from what FPLG is saying he still talks of preserving the history.

Heres to Sunday and hopefully the first of three this year I think Neil will instill as he has since the 3-3 game a focus and power to our game that the will be unable to cope.

    2.0 Hooper and Joe Ledley.

  15. Voguepunter

Funnily I remember teachers like that at school but sadly can’t find any similar ones now!!

  16. Joe Filippis Haircut on

It is really hard to see why anyone would want to bid for Rangers as they have so much debt that a new owner would have to clear before they could move forward. Also they have several investigations going on the only sense it would make is if these bidders are getting into position to be involved in any newco that may come about.H.H.

Tend to agree, he’s been poor in the last two games, especially from the half way line to the penalty box.

He’s a poacher if ever there was one, cost more than Tony Stokes and is the apple of Neil Lennon’s eye, and therefore unlikely to be benched.

I agree it would be harsh on Stokes, if he didn’t start which is why I think NL will go with both.

    I hope you are right, I mean wrong, I mean I hope H88ps gets that hat-trick. :))

Silverware is up for grabs, I am hoping to see a really polished performance where the manager is not needing to make decisions and substitutions to win the game.

I like the person Kenny Shiels, he is a breathe of fresh air for this stinkin League and Neil will not take him lightly because he is downplaying whilst no doubt making his own players feel like giants.

We will need to be good on Sunday and I am sure we will be.

  21. Just had a look at BBC site – Hearts criticise own fringe players.

    Hearts signed them

    They have contracts

No sign of Man C or Chelsea on the horizon offering big bucks, so what are they supposed to do? Where are they supposed to go?

Presumably not on big money yet still have bills to pay, just like everyone else.

Are they expected to say – Screw my life and that of my family so Hearts don’t have to live up to their commitments?

Arrogance, stupidity and total lack of empathy apparently not confined to Ibrox (still wish you lot would stop saying Govan – purely a personal thing).

    Cheers

    Alex

  22. HT,

cheers will have a look for it,i am sure any did will be reliant

on the huns winning the tax case or be for the bones of whats
