It’s all about Tannadice, your AIM nomad

808

The stage is set. Dundee United, the club who were last to beat Celtic, stand in the way of their treble ambitions, as the clubs meet on three consecutive occasions next month.  The first game, a Scottish Cup quarter final at Tannadice, is the most crucial.

United lost their best two players last week but they remain they will know that beating Celtic at home will make them favourites for the Scottish Cup.  They will be far less confident at the following week’s League Cup final, Dundee United expectations are always low at Hampden, but pressure will be on the club to win their home game.

A note on the suitability or otherwise of a director of a public company.  In the UK, only the courts can ban you from being a company director, HMRC cannot ban you, any more than they can ban you from driving.  In the UK, public companies are held to a higher standard than private companies.  If anyone presents to you claiming, “HMRC have never banned me from driving/being a company director”, you know your being misled.  The same is true for most jurisdictions.

The AIM market requires companies to have nominated adviser (nomad), which carries out regulator duties on behalf of the market, and ultimately shareholders.  The fact that UK, or other, courts have not prohibited you from being a company director implies nothing about your suitability as a director of a public company.  When it comes to the AIM market, this suitability is judged by your effective regulator, your nomad.  A recent history of financial criminal activity, for example, will give your nomad plenty to consider, as would a recent history of being a director in a liquidated public company.  Far more would decline such a candidate than approve.

  1. Was on the ole official online ticket site there and it appears that there are now just 2 (two) seats remaining for the Inter game. Side by side in FS7 row 5 ;-)

I was recently told that not all sections had been released for sale as yet. So if this is correct what you are seeing is what is available from those released.

My limited knowledge is that we’d have no league to play in.

Unfortunately Celtic do not own the rights to televise our own club in league football.

Are the rumours about those arrested in connection for the attack on a man outside the pub after the sevco match actually different from what was said by the DR

Would not disagree with you, however we must look at the depth of squad we now have and congratulate Peter – Board and Ronny.

Just look at the players NOT in your team:

Zaluska,Lustig, Ambrose, Mulgrew, Fisher,Commons, McKay-Stevens, Tonev, Wakaso, Henderson, McGregor, Gudetti, Stokes & Scepovic.

This is a good squad, that has slightly underachieved in the league – however with TEN vital matches in the next FORTY days – we need all the players that we have and they MUST perform.

  6. Would love it if we decided to play matches on Saturdays at 3 o’clock. We might as well, as we are not going to get any meaningful monies from SKY. Maybe we should DEMAND of the BBC that it spends at least a 10th of what it gives to English football on our national sport here in Scotland. I’m sure that would be a considerable increase. (It might improve the quality of the commentary; there again, it might not.)

wee tip for anyone deciding to bin the sky sports package. send them an email stating that you wish to cancel, takes 30 days to activate. this option will avoid you adding to sky’s coffers by phoning them on the expensive premium phone lines!

If elbows was offered a two game ban every time he stamped on or elbowed an opponent, he would never need to pull his boots on again.

  9. Crc & jobo,

The club saying there is only two seats left whilst having unsold sections must surely be putting some folks off?

I bought an extra couple a few weeks back and I’m sure all sections were available.

    Could be wrong though.

  10. Bsr,

They are maybe waiting a few more days before the big release of the ‘fleg seats’

    You’re right.

Obviously this Sky deal accelerates our decline, what is the equivalent level of English income, lower Championship? Could Celtic TV as part of SPFL collective generate more income? I believe we looked at this 2011/12. Probably never going to happen but the Status Quo isn’t the way forward.

I have been going to Celtic games as a Celtic supporter home & away for 47 years. I am glad no Celtic supporter I have met shares your views. I think you are a troll, who is on here to agitate. Probably a paid agitator.

  13. The current 5 year SPFL football TV rights deal runs for another 2 seasons until summer 2017 so I suppose our hands are tied unless there is some option to renegotiate.

I’ve binned Sky and don’t miss it at all, still got BT through my broadband and that’s enough for me . Can stil get most games if I really want to see them.. Wink wink
