Jaroslaw Fojut spoke to a Polish newspaper yesterday on his decision to join Celtic. Our man in Poland kindly transcribed:
When asked if he would like to move to Celtic this month, Jaroslaw said, “If I move to Celtic this winter a convenient outcome for all sides would need to happen. If I need to stay in Wroclaw until the end of the season it will not be a tragedy. My decision to sign for Celtic is not going to change my dedication to Slask.
“Whatever the outcome, I will not be aggrieved.
“The people at Slask offered me a good contract. Before I signed for Celtic I met Slask chairman, Piotr Wasniewski and explained my situation. I wanted to play fair with the club who were always fair with me.
“Money was not the main reason I decided to go to Scotland. I do not have to justify myself by telling you what kind of club Celtic is and the real reasons behind my decision.
“My agent told me about signals from other club but there were no concrete offers. Celtic were determined to sign me and when their offer came in I did not look for other options.
“I expect competition for a place in the Celtic team to be high but when I get a chance to play I will make good use of that privilege. I have not spoken to Neil Lennon yet but I am aware of what he has said about me and look forward to meeting him.
“I remember playing against him when he was with Nottingham. I think we played twice in the cup and once in the league but could not be sure.
“I planned to call Lukasz Zaluska and ask what it was like at Celtic but what if he told me things were bad there?” Which Jaroslaw laughed at.
“Lukasz and I will have lots to talk about, we are both Legia supporters.
“I’m not going to argue about whether the Scottish or Polish league is better, everyone is entitled to their opinion on this. I’m pretty sure we have no club in Poland who can compare to Celtic, whatever aspect you analyse, economic issues, organisation, supporters, stadium or anything.
“Let’s not forget Celtic play in Europe every year and battle for the biggest prizes.
“In a way going to Celtic is a dream come true but my dreams will have to change. I will not going the Bhoys and feel happy, my ambitions will have to move on. I am sure Lionel Messi still has something to win and achieve. He has never been the champion of the world and that is why he must improve. I’m pretty sure I will not be short of incentives.
“Celtic is a very big deal for me but you do not climb the mountain and say, OK, I’m done.
“My acclimatisation is going to me easier in many aspects. I know the British game, I know what the coaches expectations are. During my years in England I learned the language so I’ll not have problems with communication.”

Celtic are set to play Malmo FF in a home friendly on March 6.
The Allsvenskan side, who knocked Scottish Premier League champions Rangers out of this season’s Champions League, will return to Glasgow as part of their pre-season preparations.
Malmo will travel to Glasgow on the invitation of Celtic, with the SPL side saying the game will be played behind closed doors as a game involving their “development squad”.
“Although we do not play competitive games in Europe this year, we want to constantly measure ourselves internationally,” the club’s sporting director, Per Agren, said on Malmo’s website.
After defeating Ally McCoist’s side 2-1 on aggregate in the Champions League qualifying round, Malmo boss Rikard Norling had thanked current Celtic assistant boss Johan Mjallby and club great Henrik Larsson for their advice in the build-up to the European tie.
“They have intelligent football minds and an understanding of what we wanted,” Norling said at the time.
“That knowledge of how Rangers play was important to us.”
Malmo will also travel to the USA to take on DC United and Columbus Crew, followed by their match with Celtic and final game against Norwegian side Viking Stavanger on March 10.

I thought the wee tax bill was issued in 2010 but the huns appealed it and as the huns are infallible that was taken by the SFA as being the gospel truth and did not dig any deeper.
I am afraid that Stewart Regan has already cooked his goose with the SFA as this issue is not going to go away.

Tony Harris, the player’s agent, disclosed on Wednesday that Ibrahim is set to undergo medicals on Thursday.
Harris believes the Celtic move presents Ibrahim, 20, the best option to develop his talent under manager Neil Lennon.
He also revealed that there were other European clubs keen to sign on the former Gateway FC playmaker.
“We have reached an agreement with Celtic. Rabiu will undergo medicals tomorrow (Thursday).
“Celtic is a club with great history and tradition. It’s a great club for Rabiu to develop and his potential will be fulfilled under the close guidance and management of the Celtic coaching staff,” Harris stated.
“Neil Lennon is a great manager who encourages young players and subsequently brings the best out them.
“We had other serious offers from Europe but I believe Celtic is the best club for Rabiu,” he said.

Beer must be sold at all venues hosting matches in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, football’s world governing body, Fifa, has insisted.
Fifa General Secretary Jerome Valcke said the right to sell beer must be enshrined in a World Cup law the Brazilian Congress is considering.
Alcoholic drinks are currently banned at Brazilian stadiums and the country’s health minister has urged Congress to maintain the ban in the new law.
Brewer Budweiser is a big Fifa sponsor.
Mr Valcke is visiting Brazil to press for progress on the much-delayed World Cup law.
Fifa has become frustrated, because voting on the legislation has been held up in Congress by the dispute over alcohol sales.
The Brazilian government has also failed to resolve differences with Fifa over cut-price tickets for students and senior citizens, and demands for sponsors of the World Cup to have their trademarks protected.
In remarks to journalists in Rio de Janeiro, Mr Valcke sounded frustrated with Brazilian officials:
“Alcoholic drinks are part of the Fifa World Cup, so we’re going to have them. Excuse me if I sound a bit arrogant but that’s something we won’t negotiate,” he said.
Mr Valcke criticised the pace of construction at Brazil’s world cup venues “The fact that we have the right to sell beer has to be a part of the law.”

Dissapointed to see an attendance of 1,594 for last night’s Scottish Cup replay between Dunfermline and Inverness. That type of an attendance figure highlights how dependant the other SPL clubs are on Celtic and the wonderful travelling support yet they feel they can treat the support with distain, e.g. St Mirren intending to search all Celtic supporters before entering the ground.
To put that miserable attendance into context, 2 amateur GAA teams played in a pre-season friendly last night in Omagh and attracted almost 7,000 supporters.
