Neil Lennon’s suggestion that fostering Fraser Forster from a lower-league loaner to an England international is “one of the best things [he’s] been involved with as a manager” is difficult to dispute, despite his various trophies and Champions League exploits.
Owen Hargreaves earned an England cap before he made an appearance in either of England’s top two divisions, although he was playing with European champions, Bayern Munich at the time. Hargreaves and Lanarkshire’s Joe Baker are the only two to have been capped for England without playing in any of the country’s four leagues. I’ve no idea if there are any others to have earned a cap without having played in the top two division but there must be precious few.
In short, Fraser’s appearance between the sticks on Friday was exceptional. We can now help fulfil the international ambitions of English players, just as long as we continue to compete in the Champions League.
Playing to the galleries
There’s a great line in the movie, Wall St, when Martin Sheen says, “If you live long enough you get to see everything”. Today we got to see the incredible sight of Craig Whyte’s former PR, who represented him before and during his Outstanding Contribution to Scotland, who in fact, represented him well before this, when Whyte was stalking STV as they teetered on the brink of oblivion, use Twitter to turn on another member of the Whyte coterie, for being a part of the Whyte coterie.
It reads like playing to the gallery, which the Daily Record, is a particularly useful punch bag for. No one cares what you say about the Daily Record, so exploit a common enemy and pile on. Tub thumping like this is embarrassing.
Puppet master
It will be interesting to see if the Record investigate who first suggested Whyte turned his attention to Rangers, after his STV ambitions ended….

Ty but not really, it was done outta fear! Many docs tried to tell me, but I was stubborn and thought I was invincible, until one doc gave me such a going over. Really lost it with me. Told me I was a stupid, selfish so and so ! I’m glad he did now.
Btw, I got so much help and support from those on here it was humbling. One CQNer in particular, was so kind in his words in e mails he sent me, it was additional motivation and really helped.
I hope he does not mind me mentioning his name.

I was laughing at that at lunchtime today. Must admit, apart from the internet, I have never met face to face a hun who thinks they are still the same club. Silence normally follows should the discussion be even touch that subject.
Winning SPFL League 1 in a manner “that will resound around the world”-Good God-did someone really write that?-and have it published?
So revelations today include:
Chuckles paying for his 5million worth of shares with 50k out of his severance payment.
Refunds of 300k were paid to someone who bought in at 1 million at. £1 a share when they were floated at 70p. Naughty
Fines imposed on the zombies by the sfa as part of the 5 way agreement are unpaid.
Stewart regan was reluctant to pursue the payment of the fines.
It’s incredible how corrupt the zombification process is. It could even surpass the corruption of rangers.
Winning captains
Just remembered I paid last years annual with my card without needing a paypal account. Order has just been booked. Paul67, rest easy, you know what i mean. WC (that diznae sound too flattering) please let me know when the Strathaven lot have been sent. :)) Please.

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet has admitted
that on-loan midfielder Ki Sung-Yong could
play a central role in the remainder of the
side’s Premier League campaign, although he
has not yet looked into the possibility of
recruiting the South Korean on a permanent
basis.
The 24-year-old is currently with the
Wearsiders on a season-long loan deal from
Swansea and has caught the eye in a
struggling side, most notably during last
weekend’s shock win over Manchester City .
“It is still early doors and I don’t know how
expensive he is [to keep permanently],” Poyet
told the Northern Echo . “But we will see. He
plays the type of football that I really admire.
“He has the ability to pass the ball with just
one touch and change from one side to the
other, or run with the ball and have a shot
with either foot.
“If he believes that he can do a bit of the work
the other way, the defensive way, he is a
player who can give us the lot.”
Last weekend’s victory was the club’s third in
the five games under their new manager, and
Ki’s presence in central midfield was in part
down to the absence of captain Lee
Cattermole, who was serving the second of a
three-match suspension.
And the South Korean’s showing was such
that Poyet claims that there ares no
guarantees that his skipper will return to the
side once he is available again.
“He [Ki] had to wait for his chance. In the
beginning, it was Lee Cattermole in there and
he wanted to play in that position.
“Then there was the sending off, and he
needed to come in and show the manager that
he wanted the shirt. He had to make it difficult
for Lee to come back. He is there at the
moment, and he has the chance to stay there.”

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet obviously has an eye for a good player. Think he’ll do well in his new position.

Hi sir, you really think Gus Poyet can do a job, I’m not so sure, don’t get me wrong he comes across well and seems to have the team playing for him, but I just think Sunderland have more underlying problems, not sure what tho, more I think about it, I think there more a championship level club at this minute in my opinion
Peace be with you

Regarding Charlotte seen this on TSFM
———————————————————
The folks at HMRC must still be wiping the tears from their eyes after reading Chuckle’s pleading for leniency in the letter he sent to them in January. This must have caused particular mirth:
“…In short, Rangers went from being a £60m turnover business, producing in normal circumstances substantial employment tax and VAT revenue….”
Normal circumstances being some time 20 odd years ago??

All her recent stuff is still on scribd if you follow the link in my post above or the links that others have posted this afternoon.
One for us?
Mathias Jorgensen is growing increasingly
frustrated at PSV Eindhoven and will
consider his future in January.
The Denmark international has been frozen
out by coach Philip Cocu, with the injury
troubles of his past coming back to haunt
him.
Jorgensen feels he is being unfairly treated,
with his performances in training deserving
of a shot at the first team.
If his situation fails to improve by the time
the winter transfer window opens, the 23-
year-old centre-half admits he will be left
with little option but to mull over a move
elsewhere.
Jorgensen, who has been linked with a move
to England in the past, told Danish
newspaper BT: “I am able to play and I have
also produced the displays necessary on a
daily basis to earn a place. I should play.
“Most of last season was spoiled because of
injuries so I did not have a place in the
team. It seems like that has put doubts in
the mind of the coach. He has brought in
new players who have his confidence.
“Right now, things don’t look good.
“The transfer window opens in January, so
then I can start to think about things. The
fact that I have a contract should not
influence things.”
you have to hand it to oor heroes in Green@Whyte…………the wee daft Huns never had a chance ……if they were footballers we would run out of superlatives for them …SuperSpivs rule ok……braw ….awfy braw …
Dubaibhoy-”If I signed off the accounts it has been in good faith.”
CQTEN will be held at Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park on Friday 14th March.
Re Charlotte’s latest. That has to be a wind up, just has to be though I really hope it is factual.
Dear Mr Tax man, Gonna no do that.
John Guidetti: Knows the importance of
finding regular football.
The Swedish striker remains highly-regarded
at the Etihad Stadium, but has been left
frustrated in his efforts to earn senior
recognition.
He was initially sent out on loan by City to
gain valuable experience, and impressed while
netting 20 times for Feyenoord in 2011/12.
It was expected that a spell in Holland would
open doors for him in England, but Guidetti
has since spent 18 months on the sidelines.
Knee surgery over the summer has prevented
him from staking a claim under Manuel
Pellegrini, and speculation is now suggesting
that he will be on the move when the transfer
window re-opens.
Various clubs from across Europe are said to
be keen on the 21-year-old, and he is ruling
nothing out at this stage.
Guidetti told TV4: “I want to play football.
Whether that is at Manchester City or
somewhere else, I don’t know.
“Right now, it’s a matter of training and
fighting. Then, in January and onwards, it’s
time to show.”

Thanks for the post. i’m not quite as high as your figures but i’m not too far away. Funny thing is, i’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life, am a very moderate drinker (seriously) and would only be 7/10 lbs overweight. Often had my BP checked before and never had a problem can’t understand what has driven it up so suddenly. Anyhow all will be revealed and hopefully sorted in next couple of weeks. Won’t stop me from coming over for Milan game.
