Judge King plan by those who father it

950

I’ve no affection for Real Madrid but was delighted for them, and Carlo Ancelotti in particular, last night.  It’s getting to the stage that it’s impossible to figure out who the best team in Europe actually is.

Bayern Munich’s season has been historic.  They swept aside German competitors with record-breaking ease on their way to what looked like them becoming the first team to retain Europe’s top crown in its Champions League format.  Real were irresistible.  Let’s hope for a Madrid final before the Lions in Lisbon next month.

After yesterday’s blog I heard that more journalistic allies from Anderston Quay have flocked to Dave King’s camp, including that Leggat (sp?) guy, who used to entertain many.

I’ve heard more theories as to what the Sevco board and the group trying to run their club into the ground are planning that I care to remember, but when you look at the team King in particular has pulled together, you would be forgiven for concluding there is no masterplan worthy of the name.

We can’t always judge a man by the company he keeps but we can just a strategy by those who fathered it.

Prediction: King will kill Sevco then fall on his arse.  Bump.

Here we Go for 10 In a Row!

Applications for the 10th annual CQN charity golf day, which will take place in Aberdour Golf Club on Friday 4th July, will close this Friday, 2nd May.

As ever it will be oversubscribed so if you would like to attend, email BlantyreKev and Taggsy at cqnopen10IAR@gmx.co.uk before Friday.  Cost for the full day’s entertainment including golf is £80.  There are a very limited number of non-golfer evening places at £45.  Further detail will be released nearer the date and when places confirmed.

Over the course of the season I’ve read lots of comment about the values we should aspire to as a club, specifically when it comes to alleviating poverty, both in our own community, and abroad.  CQN’ers responded incredibly to our Malawi school kichen(s) appeal, which dwarfed our work at home.

The Charity Foundation are selling badges (£1 each) before the Dundee United game on 11 May to raise funds to feed the poor and hungry in and around Glasgow.  I have volunteered as a coordinator on the day and have offered to help recruit around 100 to sell badges before the game.

This will be trophy presentation day – but the trophy isn’t coming out until after the game, so you’ll not miss any of the flesh-on-silver action.

If you are able to get involved in this initiative, which strikes the core of what we think of ourselves as a Movement, email your details to cfcfvolunteer@celticfc.co.uk .

Thank you.

    Jim Duffy= embarrassing.

    Quizling extraordinaire.

    Guidi = soup taker

Disgrace thaf they are associated with Celtic in any way as Celtic men.

    ——————————————————————————————–

Listened to about 20 mins of SSB . Heard Jim Duffy say that he only saw R’gers fans throwing flares and fire crackers on Monday night, didn’t see any Celtic fans doing so.

A Sevco punter comes on within 5 minutes (obviously SSB producer was horrified at Duffy’s comments) and accused him of having his celtic scarf over his eyes. Duffy replied he could only say what he saw.

Delahunt then had a sneaky comment that others may have seen differently before they went to adverts.

So Jim Duffy embarrassing? Not on what I heard.

I nearly choked on my toast and marmalade this morning when I saw a new A word joining the CQN lexicon.

The following A words welcome the newcomer:

    Amortization

    Armageddon

    Asset Impairment.

    ************

    Apologies for the late response.

Asset Impairment occurs when a property is not worth what it says on the balance sheet due to deterioration or damage.

    But you already knew that

No relation to my family, I’m afraid, but we had our own tragedy, in 1983, when my cousin Eileen was murdered in Leven.

20 GOAL!!!!! Marcus Fraser heads Celtic in front!!!!

  11. The captain rises highest at the far post and heads home Filip Twardzik’s corner. An important breakthrough for the Bhoys.

    Googybhoy,

    I don’t think so.

Too many ifs, buts and maybes before that can/will happen.

Therefore I wouldn’t get too excited / worried yet.

  14. It probably hasn’t been posted but tonight’s U20 team is

Celtic U20s to play St Mirren: Fasan; Herron, Fraser, Kelleher, Waters; Lindsay, McManus, Henderson; McMullan, Fridjonsson, Twardzik. (KM)

26 The home side equalise. Celtic fail to clear their lines from the corner & it looks as though Baird is the one who hooks the ball home.

They are a wee bit behind. I will keep posting until I have to brave the rain and cold to meet my beautiful 7 year old grand daughter off the school bus.

I notice Paul67 issued TD67 with a yellow card after certain posts were brought to his attention by other posters. Something someone seens to have missed here is that Paul67 must have read the posts and then agreed with the complainers that these posts were out of order otherwise he wouldn’t have issued the yellow card.

I also notice that those who found these posts unacceptable, of which Paul67 must have been one, are now referred to by TD67, among other things as “snitch, or a grass, or a tattle tell, or a teachers pet”.

Now for me, as someone who has came across some rather unsavourly individuals in my life. I have always found those that would perpetuate the myth that those that do the right thing are “grasses” are usually those most capable of the most dispicable of things.

They are usually shallow, self rightious and extremely untrustworthy. I have always tended to make sure they never have the opportunity to creep up behind me or find myself alone with them in darkend alleyways.

In an odd way I wonder if those who brought forward Res12 to the AGM are seen as “grasses” as they are basically wanting to shop the office bearers at the SFA?

Are the GB grasses for wanting to rid our support of some of the unsavoury add ons we had for certain songs?

Is JF a grass for exposing the hypocracy of our board who clamour to allign themselves with the ideals of Brother Walfrid and our founding fathers while denying the poorest staff members a living wage?

This is a great blog that like our club is open to all and welcomes all veiws, with that though comes responsibility to treat others with the respect that we would expect from others.

Naw, selling off the NHS assets is Unionist policy.

The whole thing will be a massive accounting exercise.

How do we get our share of the Channel Tunnel, the Tube Improvements and Crossrail London that we payed for?

I don’t know so I would be delighted to be enlightened

  20. I was intending to post only significant developments but I couldn’t resist this one.

31 Herron bursts through the middle but he’s denied by McGowan. Corner, which the Saints clear at the far post.

  21. Probably mentioned already but Rangers* are top of U-20 league by 5 pts, Celtic have a game in hand, our last 3 games are St M, DU and sandwiched in the middle Rangers* at presumably, Lennoxtown.

  22. Good evening friends. Still raining here.

Athletico to win with both teams to score. 6/1. Will never forget 1974 – but what’s the option – Chelsea? Booooo….
