JULLIEN’S REMINDER TO CELTS

CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN will have to wait at least a week until he makes his competitive Celtic debut.

The towering French central defender, bought for £7million from French outfit Toulouse, was on the substitutes’ bench during the 3-1 Champions League opening qualifying victory over FK Sarajevo in Bosnia last night.

Boss Neil Lennon decided Jullien was quite 100 per cent to make his first appearance for the Hoops and went with Jozo Simunovic and Nir Bitton in the middle of his rearguard with Kristoffer Ajer on the right.

Jullien sent a message to his team-mates after goals from Mikey Johnston, Odsonne Edouard and Scott Sinclair wiped out the home side’s shock opener.

He took to social media to say: “Well done Bhoys Now it’s just Halftime #letsgetitdone.”

The 26-year-old Frenchman is likely to be given some game-time against Ligue 1 side Rennes in the friendly encounter at Parkhead on Saturday.

And then the Hoops fans could see the most expensive defender in the club’s history take his bow against the Bosnians a week tonight.
